Abstract

The coal gasification project for Dimethyl Ethane (DME) in Indonesia offers great potential to support the energy transition by reducing dependence on energy imports, saving the country's foreign exchange, and contributing to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Through a Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), this study assesses the economic feasibility and environmental consequence of the project, focusing on investment costs, foreign exchange savings, emission reductions, and job creation. Although the project promises significant benefits, key challenges include high investment costs, dependence on foreign technology, and the sustainability of environmentally friendly coal supplies. Therefore, the project's success is highly dependent on supportive policies, such as fiscal incentives, public-private partnerships, and strengthening domestic technology research, which can ensure a cleaner and more sustainable energy transition in Indonesia.

Abstract

Wireless body area networks (WBAN) has now become an important technology in supporting services in the health sector and several other fields. Various surveys and research have been carried out massively on the use of swarm intelligent (SI) algorithms in various fields in the last ten years, but the use of SI in wireless body area networks (WBAN) in the last five years has not seen any significant progress. The aim of this research is to clarify and convince as well as to propose a answer to this problem, we have identified opportunities and topic trends using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) procedure as one of the swarm intelligence for optimizing wireless body area network interference mitigation performance. In this research, we analyzes primary studies collected using predefined exploration strings on online databases with the help of Publish or Perish and by the preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analysis (PRISMA) way. Articles were carefully selected for further analysis. It was found that very few researchers included optimization methods for swarm intelligence, especially PSO, in mitigating wireless body area network interference, whether for intra, inter, or cross-WBAN interference. This paper contributes to identifying the gap in using PSO for WBAN interference and also offers opportunities for using PSO both standalone and hybrid with other methods to further research on mitigating WBAN interference.

Abstract

Corruption is an extraordinary crime that has negative impacts on various aspects of life, including the economy, public trust, and government stability. Efforts to combat corruption in Indonesia have been carried out through various policies and regulations, including Law Number 31 of 1999 jo. Law Number 20 of 2001 on the Eradication of Corruption. One important instrument in supporting the eradication of corruption is the involvement of the public in reporting corrupt acts through a whistleblowing mechanism. This research aims to analyze the implementation of legal protection for whistleblowers in Indonesia based on Law Number 31 of 2014 on the Protection of Witnesses and Victims, particularly in providing protection for whistleblowers. In addition, the study examines the implementation of whistleblower protection policies and improving the effectiveness of legal protection for whistleblowers in corruption cases. This research uses a normative juridical method with a statute approach to analyze regulations that govern protection for whistleblowers, especially Law Number 31 of 2014, as well as policies implemented by Lembaga Perlindungan Saksi dan Korban (LPSK) and other law enforcement agencies. Data analysis is conducted using a qualitative analysis method. Based on the research findings, it is concluded that legal protection for whistleblowers still faces various challenges in its implementation. Normatively, legal protection for whistleblowers is regulated under Law Number 31 of 2014, but policy reforms are needed to strengthen the role of LPSK in providing more comprehensive protection for whistleblowers. With a more effective legal protection system, it is hoped that whistleblowers will be able to play a larger role in the fight against corruption, thereby promoting the creation of a more transparent, accountable, and integral legal system in Indonesia.

Abstract

CNC plasma cutting merupakan proses pemotongan material menggunakan teknologi plasma yang dikendalikan oleh sistem CNC. Pada saat pemotongan, gas inert seperti nitrogen, argon, atau campuran gas lainnya ditiupkan melalui nozzle torch dan diterapkan tegangan listrik tinggi. Ini menciptakan aliran plasma panas yang dapat mencapai suhu tinggi, yang digunakan untuk memotong material yang bersentuhan dengan nozzle. Pada pemotongan dengan menggunakan teknologi plasma, jarak antara nozzle torch dan material kerja sangat penting. Jika jarak terlalu dekat, dapat terjadi overheating dan deformasi material. Sebaliknya, jika jarak terlalu jauh, pemotongan mungkin tidak akan efektif atau bahkan tidak terjadi pemotongan sama sekali. Untuk mengatasi tantangan ini, maka dibuatlah sebuah sistem pengatur ketinggian torch berbasis mikrokontroler arduino uno menggunakan sensor THC, yang kemudian akan memberikan informasi dari besaran tegangan listrikĀ  variatif yang dikeluarkan oleh mesin plasma cutting untuk mengendalikan gerakan motor yang mengatur tinggi rendahnya nozzle torch sesuai dengan permintaan pemrograman. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode RD (Research and Development). Proses pemotongan menggunakan arus listrik sebesar 20 ampere, tekanan udara diberikan dengan bertekanan 4 bar. Kecepatan pemotongan dengan kecepatan 1500 mm/s. Setelah melakukan percobaan pemotongan pada sudut kemiringan 20 derajat, hasil dari pemotongan ternyata sesuai dengan yang direncanakan sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Sensor THC sudah berkerja dengan baik.
