Abstract

Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi yang pesat, dinamika ekonomi global, serta perubahan sosial mendorong dunia pendidikan untuk terus berinovasi, terutama dalam pendidikan kejuruan. Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) diharapkan dapat menghasilkan lulusan yang tidak hanya menguasai teori, tetapi juga memiliki keterampilan praktis yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di SMK adalah teori belajar behavioristik, yang menekankan pada pembentukan perilaku melalui stimulus dan respons yang terukur. Pendekatan ini sangat cocok untuk pengembangan keterampilan teknis, seperti di jurusan Agribisnis Perikanan, di mana pengulangan dan penguatan positif berperan penting dalam membentuk kebiasaan kerja yang efektif. Teori behaviorisme, baik yang dikembangkan oleh Edward Lee Thorndike maupun John Broadus Watson, memberikan dasar bagi penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung serta pengulangan tugas praktis yang dapat memperkuat pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis relevansi teori belajar behaviorisme dalam pendidikan di SMK, khususnya dalam mempersiapkan siswa untuk menjadi tenaga kerja yang kompeten dan siap bersaing di era global. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan penguatan positif dan lingkungan yang kondusif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan teknis dan perilaku siswa.

Abstract

Background – Competency in analyzing business opportunities is a fundamental component of the Entrepreneurship and Crafts (PKWU) subject in the Indonesian curriculum. However, students often experience difficulties due to the abstract and complex nature of business analysis concepts, particularly in market, financial, and risk analysis. Research Objective – This study aims to develop and examine the effectiveness of EBizmate, an interactive digital learning media designed as a project-based business simulation platform, to enhance students’ competence in analyzing business opportunities. Research Method – This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The developed media was validated by experts in learning media, subject matter, and instructional design. Effectiveness testing was conducted using a quasi-experimental design involving 60 vocational high school students. Research Findings – The results indicated a significant improvement in business analysis competence among students using eBizmate. The experimental group achieved an N-Gain score of 0.64 (p < 0.001), which was higher than the control group’s N-Gain score of 0.34, with a large effect size (Cohen’s d = 1.21). These findings demonstrate that eBizmate effectively enhances students’ abilities in market analysis, financial analysis, and risk assessment. Research Conclusion – The study concludes that eBizmate is a valid, practical, and effective digital learning medium for supporting experiential learning and structured scaffolding within the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) framework in vocational entrepreneurship education. Research Novelty/Contribution – This research contributes an empirically validated model for integrating simulation-based digital learning media with Project-Based Learning to improve business opportunity analysis competence in vocational high school entrepreneurship education.

Abstract

This study examines the role of out-of-class learning through collaborative Field Work Lectures (KKL) between Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo (UMPO) and PGRI University Semarang (UPGRIS) in developing students' academic and soft skills. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through student reflective notes, participatory observation, and documentation during the activities. The results of the study reveal that collaborative KKL creates meaningful learning experiences through direct interaction with the realities in the field. These activities not only deepen academic competence in their respective fields of study, but also significantly hone soft skills. Students showed real progress in communication skills, teamwork, adaptability, and critical reflection. Active involvement in various academic tasks and social interactions during KKL increased self-awareness, discipline, and analytical thinking skills. The systematic reflection process was key in helping students build a bridge between the theory learned in the classroom and the complexity of real-life situations in the field. Thus, the study concluded that learning outside the classroom through the collaborative KKL model is an effective pedagogy. This model successfully combines empirical experience with deep reflection, thereby supporting the holistic development of students' capacities, preparing them not only intellectually but also socially and personally to face challenges in the professional world. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini mengkaji peran pembelajaran di luar kelas melalui Kuliah Kerja Lapangan (KKL) kolaboratif antara Universitas Muhammadiyah Ponorogo (UMPO) dan Universitas PGRI Semarang (UPGRIS) dalam mengembangkan keterampilan akademik dan sosial  mahasiswa. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui catatan reflektif mahasiswa, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi selama kegiatan. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa KKL kolaboratif menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang bermakna melalui interaksi langsung dengan realitas lapangan. Aktivitas ini tidak hanya memperdalam kompetensi akademik sesuai bidang ilmu, tetapi juga secara signifikan mengasah keterampilan sosial . Mahasiswa menunjukkan perkembangan nyata dalam kemampuan komunikasi, kerja sama tim, adaptabilitas, dan refleksi kritis. Keterlibatan aktif dalam berbagai tugas akademik dan interaksi sosial selama KKL meningkatkan kesadaran diri, kedisiplinan, serta kemampuan berpikir analitis. Proses refleksi yang sistematis menjadi kunci dalam membantu mahasiswa membangun jembatan antara teori yang diperoleh di ruang kelas dengan kompleksitas situasi nyata di lapangan. Dengan demikian, penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran di luar kelas melalui model KKL kolaboratif merupakan sebuah pedagogi yang efektif. Model ini berhasil memadukan pengalaman empiris dengan perenungan mendalam, sehingga mampu mendukung pengembangan kapasitas mahasiswa secara holistik, menyiapkan mereka tidak hanya secara intelektual tetapi juga secara sosial dan personal untuk menghadapi tantangan di dunia profesional..
