Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of investment and government spending on economic growth in North Sumatra Province during the 2010-2022 period. This research uses a quantitative approach by utilizing secondary data in the form of time series obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive methods and multiple linear regression analysis, which includes classic assumption testing and hypothesis testing using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The research results show that both partially and simultaneously, government investment and spending have a significant influence on economic growth. In addition, the independent variables in this study were able to explain 96.1% of the variation in economic growth, while the remaining 3.9% was caused by other factors outside the research.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk perilaku keuangan mahasiswa. Salah satu inovasi dalam sektor keuangan digital adalah dompet elektronik (e-wallet), yang memungkinkan transaksi non-tunai dengan lebih cepat, praktis, dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan e-wallet terhadap manajemen keuangan pribadi mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Negeri Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan data primer yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner berbasis Google Form. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Medan, dengan sampel 50 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif dan regresi linier sederhana menggunakan SPSS 25 untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara penggunaan e-wallet dan manajemen keuangan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan e-wallet berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap manajemen keuangan pribadi mahasiswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai thitung yang lebih besar dari ttabel serta taraf signifikansi yang rendah. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa e-wallet dapat meningkatkan kesadaran mahasiswa dalam mengelola keuangan mereka. Namun, penggunaan yang tidak terkontrol dapat berpotensi mendorong perilaku konsumtif.

Abstract

Promosi penjualan buy one get one adalah strategi pemasaran yang sering digunakan oleh penjual untuk meningkatkan penjualan serta menarik minat pembeli. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana promosi penjualan memengaruhi keputusan pembelian di kalangan mahasiswa yang mengambil program studi pendidikan ekonomi di Universitas Negeri Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui survei kepada mahasiswa pendidikan ekonomi Universitas Negeri Medan. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi linier sederhana. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa promosi penjualan memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen. Hasil tersebut didukung oleh nilai thitung yang lebih besar dari nilai ttabel, serta nilai signifikansi yang rendah. Ini menunjukkan bahwa konsumen lebih condong untuk membeli produk ketika ada promosi yang ditawarkan.

Abstract

Environmental awareness is an important factor in maintaining the sustainability of the ecosystem, especially in the academic environment. However, the low involvement of students in waste management indicates that the level of environmental awareness still needs to be improved. This study aims to examine the effect of waste management on environmental awareness of students at Universitas Negeri Medan. This study applies a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data is collected through the distribution of a google form-based questionnaire. Data analysis uses simple linear regression to identify the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. The results of the study indicate that waste management has a positive and significant effect on students' environmental awareness, with a regression coefficient value of 0.660 and a significance level of 0.000. This finding indicates that the more optimal the waste management system implemented, the higher the level of students' environmental awareness. The results of this study emphasize the importance of integration between environmental education, provision of adequate waste management facilities, and implementation of green campus policies to increase student awareness and participation in maintaining environmental cleanliness. Therefore, a more comprehensive approach is needed, such as educational programs and policies based on student participation, to optimize the effectiveness of waste management in the campus environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif untuk menganalisis pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi dan inflasi terhadap investasi luar negeri di Indonesia. Data yang dianalisis merupakan deret waktu (time series) dari tahun 2014 hingga 2023, yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) dan Bank Indonesia (BI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap investasi luar negeri, sedangkan inflasi mempengaruhinya secara negatif dan signifikan. Secara bersama-sama, kedua variabel independen tersebut juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap investasi luar negeri. Analisis regresi berganda mengindikasikan bahwa setiap kenaikan satu unit pada pertumbuhan ekonomi akan meningkatkan investasi luar negeri sebesar 1005,195 unit, sementara setiap kenaikan satu satuan pada inflasi akan menurunkan investasi luar negeri sebesar 676,510 satuan. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) sebesar 0,844 menunjukkan bahwa 84,4% variasi dalam investasi luar negeri dapat dijelaskan oleh pertumbuhan ekonomi dan inflasi, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 15,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor lain. Abstract

Writing quality scientific articles requires a deep understanding of theory as a basis for analysis and argument. This research aims to examine the influence of theoretical deepening on the quality of writing scientific articles among Economic Education students at Medan State University (UNIMED) Stambuk 2023. Through a quantitative approach, data was collected using a questionnaire that measures understanding of theory, as well as the quality of students' writing of scientific articles. The results of the research show that deepening theory has a significant influence on the quality of writing scientific articles, where students who have a deeper understanding of theory tend to produce articles that are more structured, argumentative and can be scientifically justified. This research provides guidance for researchers and academics in improving the quality of scientific articles through deepening theory.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of the quality of evaluation instruments in accurately measuring students’ abilities, particularly multiple-choice items developed by students through project-based assignments. However, the instruments produced often have not undergone a comprehensive item analysis, so their validity and reliability cannot be assured. This study aims to analyze the quality of multiple-choice test items constructed by Economics Education students through a project-based simulation using the SPSS application. The method employed is a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The subjects of this study consisted of 35 students, while the research object comprised 20 test items on the topic of market failure. Data were collected through an online instrument trial and analyzed using tests of validity, reliability, difficulty level, discrimination index, and distractor effectiveness. The results showed that 75% of the items were valid and 25% were invalid. The reliability coefficient of 0.802 indicates a high category. The level of difficulty was dominated by easy items (80%) and moderate items (20%), with no difficult items identified. The discrimination index was mostly categorized as very good (65%), although some items were still in the fair and poor categories. The effectiveness of distractors varied, with some distractors not functioning optimally. Therefore, in general, the quality of the test items can be considered good; however, revisions are still needed to improve the balance of difficulty levels and the effectiveness of distractors.
