Abstract

This research aims to identify the influence of parental involvement and technology on student GPA scores at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan. This research uses quantitative methods with a descriptive approach and hypothesis testing. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires or Likert scales via Google Form. Data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The research results show that (1) parental involvement has a partial and significant influence on increasing student GPA with a tcount value of 4,859 which is greater than ttable 2,024, (2) technology involvement hasnt influence on increasing student GPA with a tcount value of 0.388 which greater than ttable 2,024, (3) parental involvement and technology together have a significant positive influence on increasing student GPA with a calculated Fvalue of 19,232 which is greater than Ftable 3,25. Based on these results, it can be concluded that parental involvement and technology influence the increase in GPA of students at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi dampak uang saku terhadap tingkat konsumsi mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Ekonomi angkatan 2023 di Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan penerapan kuesioner dan survei deskriptif. Jumlah sampel penelitian adalah 70 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 25. Tim peneliti mengumpulkan informasi melalui skala kesadaran diri dan kuesioner untuk menilai jumlah uang saku serta tingkat konsumsi mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi. Teknik analisis yang diterapkan adalah regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Konstanta positif (B0) menunjukkan pengaruh positif dari variabel independen (X), dan (2) koefisien regresi variabel sebesar 0,362 atau 36,2%.

Abstract

Di tengah persaingan bisnis yang semakin ketat, perusahaan perlu meningkatkan kinerja untuk tetap kompetitif di pasar. Bagian gudang perusahaan harus memahami dan memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat, karena keberhasilan perusahaan tidak hanya bergantung pada kualitas produk, tetapi juga pada layanan pelanggan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan berbasis Google Forms, melibatkan 41 mahasiswa program pendidikan ekonomi yang dipilih melalui target sampling. Fokus penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh layanan BNI dalam pembayaran uang kuliah tunggal (UKT) terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa BNI perlu meningkatkan kualitas layanan, seperti mempercepat proses pembayaran UKT dan mempermudah transaksi. Umpan balik dari mahasiswa dapat membantu memahami kebutuhan mereka, sementara sosialisasi dan edukasi tentang layanan yang tersedia penting untuk membangun kepercayaan pengguna. Dengan demikian, peningkatan layanan BNI diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepuasan mahasiswa sebagai nasabah.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of investment and government spending on economic growth in North Sumatra Province during the 2010-2022 period. This research uses a quantitative approach by utilizing secondary data in the form of time series obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive methods and multiple linear regression analysis, which includes classic assumption testing and hypothesis testing using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The research results show that both partially and simultaneously, government investment and spending have a significant influence on economic growth. In addition, the independent variables in this study were able to explain 96.1% of the variation in economic growth, while the remaining 3.9% was caused by other factors outside the research.

Abstract

Writing quality scientific articles requires a deep understanding of theory as a basis for analysis and argument. This research aims to examine the influence of theoretical deepening on the quality of writing scientific articles among Economic Education students at Medan State University (UNIMED) Stambuk 2023. Through a quantitative approach, data was collected using a questionnaire that measures understanding of theory, as well as the quality of students' writing of scientific articles. The results of the research show that deepening theory has a significant influence on the quality of writing scientific articles, where students who have a deeper understanding of theory tend to produce articles that are more structured, argumentative and can be scientifically justified. This research provides guidance for researchers and academics in improving the quality of scientific articles through deepening theory.

Abstract

This study analyzes the associations of competence, work motivation, and organizational culture with employee performance in a facility services company (PT Esefa Semesta Facility), where job demands require strict compliance with established standard operating procedures, consistent field service delivery, and adaptation to client needs. The study employed a quantitative explanatory (cross-sectional) design using a structured questionnaire administered to all employees through saturated sampling (n = 62). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS 26 after instrument and assumption testing. The results show that competence (B = 0.331; p = 0.010), work motivation (B = 0.284; p = 0.020), and organizational culture (B = 0.388; p = 0.010) are positively and significantly associated with employee performance. Simultaneously, the overall model is significant (F = 102.080; p < 0.001) and explains a substantial proportion of variance (Adjusted R² = 0.833). These findings suggest that strengthening job-relevant competencies, sustaining work motivation, and fostering an adaptive work culture are practical managerial levers to reduce service variability and improve performance in facility services operations, while causal inference remains limited due to the cross-sectional design.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Motivasi belajar merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan studi mahasiswa di jenjang perguruan tinggi. Urgensi riset ini menawarkan motivasi yang dipicu dari faktor internal dan internal pada diri mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh self-efficacy dan umpan balik yang diberikan dosen terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa keguruan yang sedang mempersiapkan diri menjadi tenaga pendidik ekonomi. Pendekatan kuantitatif berbasis survei diterapkan dalam penelitian ini, dengan data yang dikumpulkan dari 40 mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Ekonomi di Universitas Negeri Medan sebagai partisipan. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode regresi linear berganda yang disertai dengan serangkaian pengujian asumsi klasik serta pembuktian hipotesis melalui uji t maupun uji F. Hasil penelitian secara empiris membuktikan bahwa self-efficacy memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan bermakna secara statistik terhadap motivasi belajar, dengan taraf signifikansi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,005, lebih kecil dari 0,05. Di sisi lain, variabel umpan balik dosen tidak terbukti memberikan pengaruh parsial yang signifikan, meskipun koefisiennya menunjukkan arah yang positif dengan nilai signifikansi 0,496 yang berada di atas ambang 0,05. Secara kolektif, kedua variabel tersebut memiliki pengaruh signifikan sebesar 29,9% terhadap motivasi belajar. Hasil ini mempertegas bahwa determinan interna atau keyakinan diri lebih berpeinterestran kuat dibandingkan dukungan eksternal, sehingga peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran sebaiknya diprioritaskan pada penguatan kapasitas diri mahasiswa dengan dukungan umpan balik yang lebih terarah. Riset ini berkontribusi kepada para cendikiawan pada anteseden umpan balik dari dosen yang belum optimal berkontribusi terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Dibutuhkan estafet riset yang lebih komprehensif yang mengeksplorasi strategi, metode, atau kebijakan yang mengoptimalkan umpan balik pada proses pembelajaran di kelas. Kata Kunci: mahasiswa keguruan ekonomi; motivasi belajar; self-efficacy; umpan balik. ABSTRACT Motivation to learn is key to student success in higher education. The urgency of this research is to explore motivation driven by both internal and external factors within students. The aims study is intended to examine how self-efficacy and the feedback provided by lecturers influence the learning motivation among prospective economics teachers. Using a survey-based quantitative design, the study gathered data from 40 participants enrolled in the Economic Education program at Universitas Negeri Medan. The analytical procedure employed multiple linear regression, supplemented by classical assumption verification and hypothesis evaluation through both t-tests and F-tests. Empirical findings confirm that self-efficacy contributes positively and significantly to learning motivation, with a significance value of 0.005, which falls below the 0.05 threshold. Conversely, the lecturer feedback variable has not been proven to exert a significant partial influence, despite its positive directional coefficient with a significance value of 0.496, exceeding the 0.05 threshold. Collectively, both variables account for a significant influence of 29.9% on learning motivation. These results emphasize that internal determinants, particularly self-belief, play a more substantial role compared to external support. Consequently, improving the quality of learning should prioritize strengthening students' self-capacity, complemented by more targeted instructional feedback. This research contributes to scholars' understanding of the antecedents of lecturer feedback, which suboptimally contributes to student learning motivation. A more comprehensive research effort is needed that explores strategies, methods, or policies that optimize feedback in the classroom learning process.
