Abstract

The choice of Islamic banking products among students is becoming an increasingly interesting issue in the development of the Islamic banking sector. The younger generation, including students, has a crucial role in shaping the future direction of Islamic banking. An important factor that is believed to influence the decision to choose Islamic banking products by students is the level of financial literacy. This study aims to investigate the effect of financial literacy on the interest in choosing Islamic banking products among university students. The survey method through questionnaires was used on 68 respondents of Islamic banking study program students. The results showed that the thitung value was 25.181 > ttabel 2.000 and it was found that the fhitung value exceeded the ftabel value, which was 634.100 > 3.986, with a significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than the significance value of 0.05. From these results, Islamic financial literacy has a significant influence on the interest in choosing Islamic banking products among students. The coefficient of determination reached 90.4%, indicating a strong influence. Support from religious aspects is also important in the selection of Islamic banking products, by Islamic principles that emphasize fairness and understanding in transactions. This study is consistent with previous findings by Nahla Zamharira et al. (2021), which also shows that Islamic financial literacy has a significant impact on students' decisions to utilize Islamic banking services. In conclusion, the higher the Islamic financial literacy, the more interest in choosing Islamic banking products in college students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the decision-making process of Generation Z in using QRIS as a digital payment tool. QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) is a standardized payment method based on QR codes developed by Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Indonesian Payment System Association (ASPI). The research adopts a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents as the sample. Data analysis is conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The results show that, in part, the variables of perceived usefulness, trust, and security risk have a positive and significant impact on Generation Z's decision to use QRIS. Specifically, the greater the perceived benefits and trust in QRIS, the higher the likelihood that Generation Z will choose to use it. However, security risk was found to have a negative effect on the decision to use QRIS. The study concludes that QRIS offers significant convenience and security, but the perceived risks must be managed to enhance adoption by Generation Z.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of organic coffee commodities from Srimenanti Village, West Lampung, through an Islamic economic approach. West Lampung is known as one of the largest coffee-producing regions in Lampung Province, making this commodity a major pillar of the local economy. Within the framework of regional development and the strengthening of the community’s economy, this research highlights the importance of applying Islamic economic principles such as justice, mutual assistance, and sustainability in coffee plantation management. The methods used in this study include a participatory approach through the identification of farmer and farmer group characteristics, skill enhancement training, and value-added analysis of various coffee processing methods. The results show that the natural anaerobic processing method provides the highest added value compared to other methods. Additionally, the involvement of the Women Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani/KWT) plays a significant role in improving the production and marketing of locally branded coffee known as KOROLA (Kopi Hitam Lampung Barat). This study confirms that the implementation of organic farming systems, capacity building for farmers, and the strengthening of cooperative institutions can create a sustainable farming ecosystem aligned with sharia principles. By integrating Islamic values into coffee management, it is expected that a balance between economic profit and social welfare can be achieved.

Abstract

The lives of coin boys at Bakauheni Port have been of deep concern in this study. These children engage in dangerous activities such as diving into the sea to pick up coins thrown by ship passengers as their source of income. This research aims to investigate the social economy of the lives of coin boys in Bakauheni Harbor. The research methods used include interviews, observation, and quantitative data analysis. The results show that education, parents' occupation, family financial condition, and childhood living environment close to the port are the main factors that encourage children to become coin collectors. Although this activity is considered illegal and high-risk, children still do it to help their family finances and as a source of income. In addition, this study also relates its results to previous studies that have similar findings on the phenomenon of coin children in other ports. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for special attention to the issue of child coins and the importance of efforts from various parties, including the government, community, and family, to prevent children from engaging in such dangerous activities and restore their rights as children. The implications of this research are expected to contribute to further understanding of the issue of child coins and support efforts to prevent and protect children's rights.
