Abstract

Meningkatnya angka kecelakaan lalu lintas di Indonesia menjadi perhatian serius, terutama pada kelompok usia anak-anak dan remaja. Data menunjukkan bahwa kecelakaan lalu lintas merupakan penyebab utama kematian pada kelompok usia tersebut, dengan sekitar 15% dari kecelakaan melibatkan anak di bawah umur setiap tahunnya. Di Kota Tegal, angka kecelakaan pada remaja berusia 15–19 tahun mencapai 15,8% dari total kecelakaan dalam periode 2019–2023. Rendahnya pemahaman terhadap keselamatan berlalu lintas, khususnya pada siswa SMP, menjadi salah satu penyebab utama. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dilakukan penyuluhan keselamatan berlalu lintas di SMP N 1 Kota Tegal. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa terhadap pentingnya keselamatan di jalan raya. Metode yang diterapkan mencakup pre-test dan post-test guna menilai tingkat efektivitas penyuluhan, dengan hasil yang dianalisis menggunakan uji paired t-test. Penyuluhan berlangsung selama dua jam dengan pendekatan interaktif, melibatkan 40 siswa dari organisasi intra-sekolah. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada semua indikator, termasuk pemahaman rambu lalu lintas, keselamatan bersepeda, dan kepatuhan terhadap marka jalan, Rata-rata nilai pre-test sebesar 58,3% mengalami peningkatan menjadi 88,2% pada post-test. Keberhasilan ini dipengaruhi oleh relevansi materi, media pendukung, dan metode diskusi aktif yang diterapkan. Penyuluhan ini membuktikan efektivitasnya dalam membangun pemahaman dan sikap positif siswa terhadap keselamatan berlalu lintas, yang diharapkan dapat menurunkan jumlah pelanggaran dan kecelakaan lalu lintas di kalangan remaja.

Abstract

Roads have a crucial role in supporting mobility movement and allocation of goods and services, significantly impacting economic, social, and cultural growth. Damaged road conditions can impade activities and increase the risk of accidents. Road safety is influenced by various factors, including the road itself. Kapten Piere Tendean Street, part of the North Ring Road, is one of the vital routes is currently experiencing various types of damage, partly due to the increasing traffic volume. This papper aims to evaluate the surface condition of Kapten Piere Tendean street using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method for identify categories and levels of road damage as a basis for repair recommendations. The identification results show 13 types of damage, with the highest being shoving at 36%. At STA 0+00 – 0+100, the PCI score is 7, categorized as failed, while at STA 1+300 – 1+400, the PCI score is 92, categorized as excellent, with 32% of segments classified as very good. The average PCI score for the 2.9 km road length is 61, indicating the road is in good condition. The repair recommendations refer to Bina Marga guidelines, addressing the largest damage (shoving) with pothole patching (P5) and leveling (P6).

Abstract

Traffic crashes remain a critical safety challenge, with Indonesia experiencing 73,446 fatalities annually. This study develops an integrated Z-Score and Bayesian Network framework to analyze causal interactions between human and environmental factors influencing crash severity on toll roads. Z-Score analysis of 450 crash records (2022–2025) identified five statistically significant blackspot segments, with KM 430–431 exhibiting the highest concentration (Z = 4.036, n = 91). A Bayesian Network model constructed using K2 structure learning and Expectation-Maximization parameter estimation achieved 86.2% classification accuracy, surpassing previous international applications (78–82%). Conditional probability analysis revealed that straight-downhill segments exhibited 3.3-fold higher fatal crash probability than straight-level segments (0.083 vs. 0.025), while night-time conditions increased fatal risk by 57%. Sensitivity analysis demonstrated that crash type (weighted index = 0.282) and accident cause (0.214) exerted strongest influence on severity outcomes. Human error constituted 83% of crashes but showed moderate sensitivity, indicating that severe outcomes emerge from interactions between human factors and adverse conditions rather than isolated factors. Findings support prioritizing enhanced lighting and speed management on curved-downhill segments during night-time, alongside rear-end collision prevention strategies. This validated framework enables evidence based, proactive crash management and intervention prioritization for toll road safety in developing countries.
