Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the influence of authentic leadership on employee engagement through employee and organizational relationships. Method: The sample used in this study was 85 employees of a telecommunications company in Surabaya. The analysis technique used in this study is Partial Least Square assisted by the use of the software SmartPLS3.0.  Results:  The results of this study indicate that authentic leadership has a significant positive effect on employee engagement, authentic leadership has a significant positive effect on employee-organization relationship, employee-organization relationship has a significant positive effect on employee engagement, and authentic leadership has a significant positive effect on employee engagement through employee-organization relationship. Novelty: The novelty of this study lies in its emphasis on the indirect effect of authentic leadership through employee-organization relationships, providing deeper insights into how leadership styles can foster employee engagement. These findings contribute to the existing body of knowledge on leadership and human resource management, offering practical implications for organizations aiming to improve employee commitment and motivation through effective leadership strategies.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower the BUMDes and Sekoper groups in Dooro Village, Gresik, addressing challenges in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and digitalisation. The method for this community service is by giving a short training. The program integrates tailored workshops on business management, marketing, financial planning, and e-commerce. Participants engaged in hands-on practices, such as financial record-keeping and digital marketing, to apply acquired skills effectively. Key outcomes include enhanced entrepreneurial knowledge, improved financial management practices, and increased adoption of digital tools. The results can be shown in post-training evaluations, which showed a significant improvement in participants' financial literacy, with 92% achieving high assessment scores. The program also fostered collaboration with local stakeholders, promoting sustainable development. Plans include advanced training, mentoring, and partnerships to enhance market access and strengthen business operations. The conclusion of this initiative demonstrates is this community service can be a replicable model for community empowerment, combining tailored training with strategic collaboration to address local economic challenges and unlock community potential.

Abstract

The flow of change in information technology is developing very quickly and rapidly. These changes have a big impact on human resources. Human resources must improve their competencies and adapt to technological advances. Adaptation is mandatory so that organisations are not crushed by technology itself. Drastic environmental changes and intense competition will place higher demands on a person's adaptability and impact the ability to generate new ideas useful in organisational activities and services, namely innovative work behaviour. The research analyses the impact of innovative work behaviour on employee performance through adaptive technology as a mediating variable. A total of 200 employees tasked with serving Population and Civil Registration data for the City of Surabaya were respondents in this research. This research is explanatory, and the data collected will be processed using structural equation modelling (SEM) analysis techniques. This study provides results that innovative work behavior significantly affects technology adoption. In addition, innovative work behaviour significantly positively affects employee performance. This study also implies that technology adoption influences employee performance and mediates innovative work behaviour and employee performance.
