Abstract

The development of English teaching materials related to sustainable tourism in vocational high schools still faces various challenges, despite the significant growth of the tourism industry in Indonesia. This Community Service Program aims to enhance the teaching abilities of English teachers at vocational high schools in Malang by helping them develop teaching materials that incorporate various aspects of sustainable tourism through an intensive educational and mentoring approach. A total of 20 teachers participated in this workshop and training program. During implementation, they received training to develop online learning materials that simultaneously enhance reading, listening, and writing skills while also providing practice in tour guiding. Additionally, they were trained in utilizing technology to present interactive teaching materials aligned with advancements in the modern tourism industry. As a result, the teachers' ability to develop digital-based learning materials improved significantly, enabling them to guide students more effectively. In line with the teachers' enhanced ability to design innovative and sustainable learning materials, this initiative aims to raise educational standards at the vocational high school level and support students in adapting to advancements in the tourism industry.

Abstract

This Community Service Program aims to provide assistance to Joper chicken farmer groups in Turen District, Malang Regency, with a focus on improving feed efficiency, implementing natural additives, implementing Good Management Practices (GMP), post-harvest management, and marketing strategies. The methods used in this program include socialization, training, and practical assistance, and a pilot project to improve farmer skills and knowledge. Evaluation is carried out by measuring the effectiveness of the implementation of the taught methods on feed consumption, livestock health, and improving product quality and marketability. The program results show a 32% increase in farmer knowledge about efficient feed formulation, implementation of natural additives, GMP, post-harvest management, and marketing strategies. Farmer skills in formulating efficient feed, implementing natural additives and GMP increased by 87.5%. The Joper chicken raising pilot project showed an increase in production parameters; body weight, feed efficiency, reduced feed conversion, and mortality. The average body weight of 27-day-old Joper chickens was 294.6 g; feed conversion 1.71; feed efficiency 58.6%, and mortality 0.5%. This program has successfully increased the operational efficiency of Joper chicken farms and positively impacted the farmers' economy. It is recommended to continue developing the implementation of these Good Management Practices and expanding the market through digital platforms.
