Abstract

Rendahnya aktivitas belajar siswa dengan mata pelajaran geografi di SMA Negeri 1 Jeruklegi, menunjukan sikap kurang bersemangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran, siswa cenderung pasif selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung dan pada saat penyampaian pembelajaran berlangsung saat menyampikan materi pembelajaran guru lebih menerapkan cara konvensional atau dengan metode ceramah, sedangkan siswa lebih banyak mendengar sehingga suasana belajar dikelas menjadi kaku dan kurang menarik. Objek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI IPS 2 dengan jumlah 32 siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keaktifan siswa pada pelajaran geografi kelas XI. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian kualitatif yaitu berupa PTK metode tersebut digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada di kelas. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan 2 siklus yaitu hasil aktivitas siswa pada siklus 1 adalah 5,56% dan siklus 2 adalah 29,16% yang dimana mengalami peningkatan 23,6%. Berdasarkan analisi data penelitian maka penggunaan metode Problem Solving dikatakan berhasil untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa di kelas XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 1 Jeruklegi.

Abstract

The low learning activity of students with socialsubjects at SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan, shows a lack of enthusiasm in participating in learning, students tend to be passive during the learning process and during the delivery of learning takes place when delivering learning material the teacher applies more conventional methods or by lecturing methods, while students listen more so that the atmosphere of learning in class becomes rigid and less interesting. The object of this research is class VIII B students with a total of 31 students. The purpose of this study was to increase student activeness in ips class VIII B. This type of research uses class action research (PTK) this research is included in the type of qualitative research in the form of PTK the method is used to overcome existing problems in the classroom. In this study using 2 cycles, the results of student activity in SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan class VIII B with social studies subjects with population dynamics material there is an increase from cycle I and cycle II with a total of 31 students with the category of cycle I meeting 1 with an average of 56.68% with a sufficient category while with cycle I meeting 2 with an average of 71.66% with a good category and in cycle II meeting I with an average of 75 with a good category and cycle II meeting 2 with an average of 83.34 with a good category . Based on the analysis of research data, the use of the Problem Solving method is said to be successful in increasing student learning activities in class VIII B SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan.

Abstract

This study discusses the application of Problem Based Learning in social studies learning in training students' critical thinking skills at SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan. This study focuses on discussing the process of digestion, implementation and evaluation of the implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model in training students' critical thinking skills at SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan. The purpose of this study is to analyze students' critical thinking skills in the application of the Problem Based Learning model in social studies learning at SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The study found that students' understanding of social studies learning materials with the Application of the Problem Based Learning Model in training critical thinking skills at SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan can be measured by five indicators. The first aspect is to explain again, the second aspect is to describe in your own words, the third aspect is to summarize, the fourth aspect is to give examples and the fifth aspect is to conclude. Based on the results of the study, it was found that students had brought up the five aspects of the indicators in student answers and student learning activities. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas mengenai penerapan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada pembelajaran IPS dalam melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan. Penelitian ini fokus membahas mengenai proses pencernaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi implementasi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dalam melatih ketrampilan berpikir kritis siswa di SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam penerapan model Problem Based Learning pada pembelajaran IPS di SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian menemukan bahwa pemahaman siswa pada materi pembelajaran IPS dengan Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning dalam melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis di SMP Pemda 2 Kesugihan dapat diukur dengan lima indikator. Aspek pertama yaitu menjelaskan kembali, aspek kedua yaitu menguraikan dengan kata-kata sendiri, aspek ketiga yaitu merangkum, aspek keempat yaitu memberikan contoh dan aspek kelima menyimpulkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa siswa telah memunculkan kelima aspek pada indikator tersebut pada jawaban siswa dan kegiatan pembelajaran siswa.
