Abstract

Desa Tumbang Tarusan Kecamatan Tewang Sangalang Garing Kabupaten Katingan Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah, memiliki keberagaman agama terlihat nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakatnya. Desa ini dihuni oleh penduduk yang menganut agama Hindu, Kristen, Islam, dan Katholik. Meskipun berbeda dalam keyakinan, mereka hidup berdampingan dengan rukun dan saling menghormati. Salah satu permasalahan utama adalah rendahnya partisipasi warga dalam kegiatan di rumah ibadah. Banyak warga desa yang kurang terlibat dalam aktivitas keagamaan, baik karena faktor jarak, kurangnya waktu, atau kurangnya minat. Hal ini mengakibatkan rumah ibadah tidak berfungsi secara optimal sebagai pusat pembelajaran dan penguatan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Metode pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan ”PAR” untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengatasi masalah dengan melibatkan masyarakat secara langsung. Tujuan berfokus pada peningkatan partisipasi warga dalam kegiatan rumah ibadah, penyediaan tenaga pendidik agama yang berkualitas, peningkatan pemahaman nilai-nilai agama, dan pemulihan aspek spiritual warga. Hasil upaya penguatan nilai-nilai keagamaan di Desa Tumbang Tarusan melalui KKN Nusantara Beragama terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengamalan ajaran agama di masyarakat. Program-program seperti MARI, Ibadah Taize, Botol Ayat Harian, Pembatas Alkitab, dan Poster Hukum Taurat serta Buah-Buah Roh memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan dan dapat dijadikan model untuk program penguatan agama. Saran diharapkan desa ini dapat menciptakan masyarakat yang lebih religius, toleran, dan harmonis.

Abstract

This research is to describe Sunday school teachers' understanding of the conditions of children with special needs at the GKE Pahandut Palangka Raya Hilir Resort. The research method used is qualitative research which aims to obtain an in-depth understanding which emphasizes understanding the subjective elements of the individual himself regarding the phenomenon being studied and is considered appropriate in answering the research problem. There were 4 subjects in this research, including Sunday school teachers for children with special needs at the GKE Pahandut Palangka Raya Hilir Resort. The results of this research generally show that teachers have a good level of understanding regarding children with special needs. This level of understanding does not mean that teachers fully understand the needs of children, but here the teachers have knowledge about children with special needs, although in its application the teachers still experience difficulties several times. Meanwhile, teachers' understanding of the needs of children with special needs is in the form of extrapolation understanding. Some teachers are quite capable of distinguishing the specificities experienced by children with special needs. Meanwhile, the factors that influence Sunday School teachers' understanding of the condition of Children with Special Needs at Pahandut Resort Palangka Raya Hilir include internal factors, namely those related to psychological (emotional) factors and external factors that influence Sunday School teachers' understanding, namely experience and work.
