Abstract

Moral degradation and moral crisis in children seem to be an endless problem. It has been more than 10 years since the establishment of character education as a National Movement to overcome the moral crisis in society. Until now, the practice of intolerance, sexual violence and bullying is still entrenched in children. This even happened in the elementary school environment. The golden generation of 2045, which is projected as a gift for 100 years of Indonesian independence, seems to be still far from expectations. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic which for the past two years has hindered the process of strengthening character education for children. The purpose of this study is to analyze the urgency of etiquette and moral education for elementary school age children towards the golden generation of 2045. The method used is a qualitative method with a library research approach. The results of this study indicate that it is very urgent for adab and moral education to be applied to elementary school age children. Where this phase is a golden phase in the formation of human character and character which is expected to later become an important foundation for realizing the 2045 Golden Generation.

Abstract

If compared, Islamic education in Indonesia is like a train that has been running on a track for a very long time, passing through cool and hot nature. traversing steep valleys, pitch-dark jungles, and various obstacles, as forges for the path of Islamic education in the archipelago. When talking about the modernization of Islamic education, experts focus more on three objects of study, namely Islamic boarding schools, madrasas, and tertiary institutions. Meanwhile, school brands do not get a major place among Islamic education researchers. Only a few researchers or educational thinkers have a focus on Islamic educational institutions called schools. So it becomes interesting when there is a study related to the Integrated Islamic School (SIT), so that various efforts of "Muslim elites" can be identified in the development of the Islamic education system. This research is a historical study of Islamic education that uses two approaches, namely the historical approach and the descriptive approach. The research results show that although the emergence of integrated Islamic schools is a response to dissatisfaction with educational practices in Indonesia, until now, integrated Islamic schools remain an integral part of the national education system.

Abstract

This research aims to (1) analyze the need for an internal quality management model and (2) design an internal quality management model in Islamic boarding school-based madrasas. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) procedures and steps. The research results show that the Pesantren-Based Madrasah Quality Assurance Team must receive full support from the Islamic boarding school leadership. The Ministry of Religion's version of the Madrasah Self-Evaluation Instrument (EDM) must be developed to accommodate educational evaluations in Islamic boarding schools. Islamic boarding school-based madrasa's internal quality management model consists of four stages. First, the planning stage which consists of (1) mission alignment, (2) SWOT analysis, (3) EDM gap analysis, and (4) preparation of a quality plan. Second, the quality fulfillment stage consists of (1) determining the person responsible for the program, (2) funding allocation, and (3) reporting on quality implementation. Third, the quality evaluation stage consists of (1) formative evaluation, (2) summative evaluation, (3) preparation of evaluation instruments, (4) data collection, and (5) analysis and preparation of recommendations. Fourth is the quality follow-up stage, which consists of (1) follow-up improvement and (2) follow-up standardization of changes.
