Abstract

This research explores the biblical perspective on the growing phenomenon of online religion in the digital age, where religious practices such as worship, Bible study, and fellowship are conducted virtually. Using qualitative methods and a biblical theology approach, this study analyses biblical texts and secondary literature to understand the compatibility of online religion with biblical principles. The results show that although online religion is not explicitly addressed in the Bible, the importance of physical fellowship in worship poses a theological challenge to the practice. However, online  religion can remain useful as an enabler of Christian community, especially in certain conditions where physical gathering is not possible.

Abstract

Research on Samson in the Book of Judges presents a space for theological reflection on the dynamics of divine calling and human frailty. The background of this article is written from the tension between Samson's status as a Nazarite of God and his recurring weaknesses, thus presenting a moral paradox that is relevant to be reread in the context of contemporary theology. The research question posed in this article is: How does the Book of Judges reveal the relationship between God's calling, human weakness, and the meaning of suffering in Samson's life? This research uses the literature study method with a biblical theological and narrative hermeneutic approach to interpret the highlighted text. The findings reveal that Samson's life exposes the existential ambiguity of humanity, where divine power continues to work despite Samson's moral fragility and personal failures. Samson's morality affirms that God's calling is not nullified by his weakness, but rather manifests His grace.
