Abstract

Installation of external fixation is the method of reduction and immobilization, for the handling of fractures. One of the impact of external fixation mounting is the change in self?concept. Self-concept according to Stuart (2005) consists of 5 components. Roy in his theory emphasizes the concept of adaptation in overcoming stressor. The study was conducted to explore the self-concept of the patient with the installation of an external fixation using Roy's adaptation model development. Research using phenomenological qualitative research design. The population was patients who received external fixation installation management (including Ilizarov) undergoing inpatient and outpatient care (control) in the RSO Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta. Total sampling technique was used and the participants get 7 people. The experiment was conducted 4 weeks. Instruments using interviews and fields notes that have been tested for validity and reliability. Processing and data analysis using methods of data interpretation (Speziale & Carpenter, 2003) and software NVivo 9.0.204.0. Research carried out by applying the principles of research ethics. Abstract

Hypertension is often referred to as a "silent killer", because patients often do not feel any significant symptoms. Uncontrolled hypertension has an increased risk of severe health problems, but the patient is less concerned about taking the drug regularly. AVERRHOA BILIMBI L contains about 6 mg/kg total of volatile compounds also oxalate compounds; oils evaporated, phenol, flavonoid and pectin, amino acids, citric acid, phenolics, potassium ions.It plays a role in decreasing blood pressure. The research objective proved the effectiveness of AVERRHOA BILIMBI L against changes in hypertensive blood pressure. The research design was pre-experiment one group pre-posttest approach. Populationwas all of hypertension patient in Sumbergirang Village and Karang Tengah Village as many as 80 people. Sample was hypertension patient who fulfill criteria of 60 people, with purposive sampling. The independent variable was the provision of AVERRHOA BILIMBI L water stew and the dependent variable was the hypertension blood pressure change. The results showed significant changes in blood pressure, in which most respondents showed systole and diastolic results, in the category of mild hypertension (67% of respondents) and moderate (47% of respondents). The result of paired sample T-test statistic showed significant = 0,000, so water stew of AVERRHOA BILIMBI L effectively against the decrease of hypertension blood pressure. Potassium plays a role in enlarging the size of endothelial cells and increasing the production of nitric oxide that will trigger dilation reactions and vascular reactivation that will lower blood pressure. Abstract

The prevalence and incidence of diabetes mellitus are both on the rise, making it a continuing problem on a global scale. There are multiple factors that contribute to the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The disease is characterized by the presence of both a genetic component and an equally significant environmental component. A process of chronic hyperglycemia is the first step in the development of diabetes mellitus. This hyperglycemia is caused by the inability of pancreatic beta cells to secrete insulin, as well as insulin resistance in the muscles and the liver. Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 that is not treated with either medication will result in a variety of problems, including chronic consequences such as microangiopathy, retinopathy, nephropathy, and macroangiopathy. These complications can be caused by a number of different factors. The determinants, pathophysiology, diagnosis, management, and complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus are all topics that are covered in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between length of service and working position with complaints of low back pain among Civil Servants at Batauga Health Center, South Buton Regency. All employees were involved as respondents by filling out questionnaires, so the data collected was primary data. The sampling technique used was total sampling, meaning the entire population was included in the study. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate approaches to identify the distribution of variables and the relationship between them. The findings show that most respondents had relatively short working years, while only a small proportion had longer service periods. In terms of working position, many respondents were still in less ergonomic positions, although some had better working positions. Regarding low back pain, the majority of respondents reported no complaints, while a number of others experienced such discomfort. The statistical analysis revealed a significant relationship between length of service and complaints of low back pain. In addition, there was also a significant correlation between working position and low back pain complaints. These results highlight that both length of service and working position contribute to the risk of health problems among employees.
