Abstract

Diabetes mellitus was a disease with macro and micro risk of angiopathy, which includes the impact of causing cataracts. Diabetic patients with high sugar levels have a greater chance of developing cataracts at a younger age and certain tendencies towards cataract type. The aim of the study was to analyze the correlation between diabetes blood sugar levels and cataract type. The research design was correlation analysis with Cross-Sectional approach. Samples in the study were some cataract patients who had a history of diabetes mellitus in Surabaya Undaan Eye Hospital as many as 125 people, it was taken using consecutive sampling technique, and fulfilling the criteria of the study (age range 45 - 65 years, have complete medical records related to the continuity of sugar examination results in blood, the incidence of cataracts is not caused by congenital cataracts, juveniles, due to trauma, chemical exposure to UV radiation). Independent variable was the blood sugar level of Diabetes mellitus and the Dependent variable was cataract type. The instruments used were laboratory tests related to blood sugar levels, and medical diagnosis related to cataract type. Data were analyzed by Spearman rho, with a significant value <0.05. The results showed a close association between diabetes and cataracts, where as many as 47.2% with high blood sugar levels, 40% with nuclear cataract type and from 59 respondents with high blood sugar levels 26 people experienced nuclear cataract type, with rho value = 0.001. The mechanism of glucose toxicity in Diabetes Mellitus which causes cataracts can go through three paths: increased activity of the aldose reductase enzyme which causes the formation of sugar alcohol, sorbitol and galactitol in crystalline lenses; through the non-enzymatic replication process; and at high blood glucose levels a glucose oxidation process will occur which causes oxidative stress conditions. Maintenance of managing blood sugar levels must be a concern for diabetics. Keywords: Blood Sugar Level, Diabetes Mellitus, Type of Cataract

Abstract

Perkawinan anak merupakan bentuk pelanggaran hak anak untuk tumbuh dan berkembang Perkawinan anak mendorong terciptanya kondisi tidak terpenuhinya hak dasar untuk mendapatkan perlindungan dari kekerasan dan diskriminasi, hak sipil, hak kesehatan, hak sosial dan hak pendidikan. Kehamilan pada usia anak berisiko meningkatkan kematian ibu serta kematian bayi Angka rata-rata nasional proporsi perempuan usia 20-24 tahun 2018 yang berstatus kawin pada usia kurang dari 18 tahun sebanyak 10,2%.. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan komunikasi, informasi dan edukasi untuk meningkatkan self awareness tentang pendewasaan usia perkawinan di lingkungan pondok pesantren hidayatul Mubtadiat kabupaten Mojokerto . Pada kegiatan ini didapatkan self awareness santri sebelum diberikan komunikasi, informasi dan edukasi mempuyai nilai rata-rata 57,8 dan setelah diberikan komunikasi, informasi dan edukasi mempunyai self awareness nilai rata-rata meningkat menjadi 66,2. Komunikasi, informasi dan edukasi tentang pendewasaan usia perkawinan ini perlu dilanjutkan dan disebarluaskan pada generasi muda agar dapat menurubkan angka perkawinan anak dan mencegah angka kematian Ibu dan Bayi di Indonesia

Abstract

The innovative learning model used in Research Based learning requires students to learn actively, independently and not be limited to the space and time that has been scheduled on campus. Searching for data and learning information to support Research Based learning uses the internet network a lot. Besides being able to be more effective and efficient in all respects, the internet network is also very much needed anytime and anywhere by students. In the future, online learning platforms have great potential to be developed not only in times of pandemics like today. And the easiest learning platform for students to use is through mobile learning (m-learning) because it can be ascertained that all young people, in this case students, have phones cell (phones cell). Training activities aim to increase the knowledge and motivation of lecturers in developing learning strategies using Research Based learning in the application of m-learning. Abstract

Efforts to reduce maternal mortality through the provision of quality services must still be carried out despite the limited conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Problems in pregnant women, childbirth and postpartum must be monitored even though ANC visits are limited. The purpose of this community service activity is to form a WhatsApp group as a medium to facilitate collaborative maternal services with the Punggul-Mojokerto Village Polindes Midwife and increase knowledge of reproductive mothers. The implementation of this activity will be carried out in September 2021, starting with the preparation stage to the evaluation stage. The outputs of this activity are the formation of WAG, consultation and mentoring activities for high risk pregnant women, preventive and promotive efforts in order to improve maternal and child health, available modules and booklets related to pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum, as well as increasing knowledge of reproductive mothers on maternal problems.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Diabetes Militus merupakan suatu penyakit dimana kadar glukosa didalam darah tinggi karena tubuh tidak dapat menggunakan insulin secara cukup. Senam diabetes merupakan jenis olah gerak aerobik dan olah gerak pernafasan yang dimaksudkan untuk pengendalian glukosa dalam darah seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh senam Diabetes Mellitus terhadap kadar gula darah pada penderita Diabetes mellitus di Club senam Diabet RS Gatoel Mojokerto. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan pra eksperimen(one group pre test–post test design). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh penderita DM yang mengikuti senam DM yang berjumlah 20 responden, dan sampel diambil dengan tehnik total sampling yaitu berjumlah 20 responden. Variabel independen pada penelitian yaitu senam DM dan variable dependen pada penelitian yaitu kadar gula darah. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan Pre-test dan Post-test GDA menggunakan alat glukotes kemudian dianalisa dengan uji Wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil penelitian didapatkan dengan nilai ρ=0.001< α=0,05 artinya bahwa ada pengaruh senam DM terhadap kadar gula darah pada penderita DM di Club senam Diabetes RS Gatoel Mojokerto. Pada saat senam DM dapat membuat resistensi insulin berkurang, sebaliknya sensitivitas insulin akan meningkat. Hal ini akan membuat insulin membantu glukosa masuk ke dalam sel tubuh, selanjutnya glukosa akan dijadikan bahan energi, sehingga kadar gula darah dapat berubah. Kata kunci: Diabetes Mellitus, Senam Diabeters mellitus, Kadar gula darah ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a disease in which high glucose levels in the blood because the body can not use insulin adequately. Gymnastics diabetes is a type of exercise andaerobic respiration which is intended to control blood glucose in a person. The purpose of this research was to analyze the effect of exercise Diabetes Mellitus to blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus in Club gymnastics Diabetes RS Gatoel Mojokerto. This research design used pre experiment (one group pretest-posttest design). The population in this research were all patients who follow gymnastics DM totaling 20 respondents, and samples were taken with total sampling technique that numbered 20 respondents. The independent variables of research, namely gymnastics DM and the dependent variable was blood sugar levels. Data was collected using pre-test and post-test GDA using the tool glukotes then analyzed by Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results obtained with the value ρ = 0.001 <α = 0.05 means that there was gymnastics DM influence on blood sugar levels in people with diabetes in the Diabetes Club gymnastics RS Gatoel Mojokerto. At the time of exercise diabetes can make insulin resistance is reduced, on the contrary will increase insulin sensitivity. It will make the insulin to help glucose get into the cells of the body, then the glucose will be used as energy, so that blood sugar levels can be changed. Abstract

Models of learning and creative thinking ability are important factors that must be considered in improving student learning outcomes. The research development aims to develop research-based practice learning models to improve learning achievements in the development of assimilation and application of student knowledge. The study was conducted on undergraduate Nursing students who were carrying out the clinical practice. The method in this study was the Research Development (RD) method and the second stage was the RBL model trial. The development of RBL models in this study began with the preparation of models, expert tests, empirical tests on practical students, and continued empirical tests on students. Then the model was improved and the final product was determined (final model). Students are involved in the implementation of learning and learning reflection. This research involved 500 students. Data was collected using a student rating or self-evaluation scale consisting of 27 items. The analysis technique used  Partial Least Square (PLS). Research output is research-based practice learning models. Research-based learning can improve students’ skills in solving problems, thinking critically, scientific work skills, the mastery of physics concepts, students’ generic abilities, the science process skills in physics, and students’ science literacy. Keywords: research based learning; practice learning; knowledge

Abstract

Various rules and regulations applied by hospital management haven't fully warranted nurse compliance in performing standard procedures. Evidence suggests that there was a high level of an adverse event, as phlebitis, infection, and the incidence of risk of falling. The purpose of this research was to find indicators of compliance pressure for nurses in implementing procedur. This study used a phenomenological qualitative study and in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 respondents, taking into account the selection criteria of respondents. Semi-structured questions were delivered to all participants which explored their experience in implementing and complying with procedures. Analyzes thematically, taking into account the results of the field notes. Findings were that Rules and policies, Standard procedures, Communication, Corrections, and confirmations, Accreditation Standards, Professional Standards, Value, and Co-worker support are indicators of compliance pressure for nurses in implementing procedures. It can be concluded that the eight indicators of compliance pressure are appropriate controls and complement the regulatory pillars and normative pillars in building nurse compliance in carrying out procedures.

Abstract

Postpartum depression is a serious condition, especially for mothers who are giving birth for the first time or mothers with sibling conditions who have not been prepared. The impact that occurs on the mother and baby should be prevented with good management. The purpose of this community service is to provide education on coping management about the prevention and management of postpartum depression, for postpartum mothers in collaboration with the Punggul-Mojokerto Village Polindes Midwife. Implementation of activities in January 2023, starting from the preparation stage to the evaluation stage. The output of the activity is an increase in the understanding of postpartum mothers, the readiness of mothers to undergo childbirth, and new roles. In efforts to improve maternal and child health, modules and booklets are available related to postpartum and newborn care, with the hope that reproductive mothers will increase their knowledge about maternal issues

Abstract

Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) was medical complication that occurs during pregnancy and caused preterm labor.  Efforts reduce blood glucose levels and improve pancreatic performance must be safe both for mother and fetus. The research aimed to prove VCO can reduce blood glucose levels in GDM. The research design was quasi-experimental with one group pre-test and post-test. The research started on March to September 2020. The population was pregnant mother with GDM from two hospitals in Mojokerto East Java. The sample was 46 respondents with purposive sampling. The treatment given was VCO at a dose of 5 ml, 6 times a day and lowcarb diet. The instrument used to measure the fasting blood glucose was glucose stick.  The data was analyzed with paired t-test. The result showed blood glucose levels before intervention average of 155.19 mg/dL and after 153.50 mg/dL. The t-test value 14.442 and p value 0.000 which meant that VCO and low carb diet was more effective in reducing blood glucose levels on GDM. The administration of VCO with a low carb diet is an effort to restrict glucose intake in the body without hypoglycemia. It is safe to use for both mother and fetus as an alternative non-pharmacological therapy on GDM and prevent preterm labor

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is still high. Hard efforts are needed so that the Sustainable Development Goals target of 70 per 100,000 live births in 2030 can be achieved. The purpose of the study was to identify aspects related to the trend issue of maternal mortality, the determinants of causes, strategic efforts and the role of family planning in reducing maternal mortality. This literature review describes sixteen peer-reviewed journals based on inclusion criteria. The results of the analysis of the literature review found that aspects of findings related to maternal mortality were as follows: trends issue maternal mortality (Maternal mortality is more common in developing countries), causative factors (Status health (nutrition, comorbidities and maternal complications), reproductive status (age, parity, gestational distance), access to health services and policies/regulations, health behavior (contraception use, socioeconomic)), strategic efforts (maternal and neonatal health management, Quality antenatal services, safe delivery and family planning) and family plans (Support system (women's status, family and community status)). The review analysis provides directions and patterns of strategic work steps, collaboration of various support systems ranging from the role of individuals, families, communities, health services and the government in ensuring maternal and child health.
