Abstract

Education today faces the challenge of integrating academic ethics into the learning process, particularly in scientific writing. This study aims to review the literature on the integration of academic ethics in the field of education and its implications for modern scientific writing. The research method employed is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Through this method, the study analyzes various sources of literature from relevant articles. A total of five international journal articles obtained from the Google Scholar database were used in this research. The analysis results indicate that the application of academic ethics not only improves academic quality but also shapes the character of writers to be responsible and ethical. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of better educational policies and encourage ethical scientific writing practices among researchers. Therefore, this article emphasizes the importance of integrating academic ethics as a foundation for creating a healthy and productive academic environment.

Abstract

Abstract

Early abilities in recognizing numbers and understanding vocabulary serve as a fundamental foundation in developing literacy and numeracy skills among first-grade elementary students. Unfortunately, the conventional subject-separated approach to learning often leads to a lack of student interest and difficulty in grasping concepts holistically. This study aims to explore the use of the Webbed-type integrated learning model based on educational games as a fun and developmentally appropriate method to improve students' understanding of numbers 1–10 and vocabulary mastery. Learning activities were conducted using media such as number snakes and ladders, number hopping, and number cards, under the theme “Let’s Play While Learning Numbers.” The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The study involved 32 first-grade students of SDN Klampok II, Tongas District, Probolinggo Regency. The results showed an increase in learning interest, active participation, and comprehensive understanding of numbers and vocabulary. These findings support the application of the Webbed model based on educational games as an effective and enjoyable alternative approach for early-grade elementary education.

Abstract

Twenty-first-century education demands integrative pedagogical approaches that develop students' holistic competencies while preserving cultural heritage. However, STEAMS implementation in Indonesian primary schools often lacks meaningful connections to local contexts, diminishing relevance and engagement. This study examined the effectiveness of the KINCAR PUSADA project—a culturally integrated STEAMS learning model—in developing multidimensional competencies and cultural awareness among third-grade elementary students. Classroom Action Research was conducted over two cycles at SD Negeri Klampok II, Probolinggo Regency, involving 19 third-grade students. Data were collected through structured observations, semi-structured interviews, STEAMS project assessment rubrics, and documentation. Analysis employed both qualitative thematic analysis and descriptive quantitative methods. The project demonstrated substantial improvements across all competency dimensions: 84.2% of students achieved autonomous problem-solving capabilities, creativity scores averaged 90/100, collaboration reached 88%, and communication attained 80%. Overall, 89.5% of students exceeded mastery criteria with a mean achievement score of 87.2. Students showed dramatic gains in renewable energy understanding (15.8% to 78.9%) and cultural awareness (31.6% to 84.2%). The KINCAR PUSADA project effectively integrates STEAMS competencies with cultural appreciation through authentic, contextual learning experiences. This model offers a replicable framework for implementing the Merdeka Curriculum's objectives while addressing the contextualization gap in Indonesian primary education.
