Abstract

ICD-10 Chapter 5 "Mental and Behavioral Disorders" is used to record the diagnoses of all patients seen in psychiatric treatment. The DSM-5 is the standard classification of mental disorders used by mental health professionals in the United States. The differences in determining the diagnosis code in ICD-10 Chapter 5 Mental and Behavioral Disorders and DSM-5 can be influenced by the basic structure coding rules that follow in both classification systems. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the basic structure of ICD-10 Chapter 5 Mental and Behavioral Disorders with DSM-5. This research design uses literature review. The results of this study show that there are differences, among others, in the definition of the terms include and exclude in ICD-10 and DSM-5. Koder must improve the ability to understand definitions in the process of determining the codification of the two classification systems.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease is an irreversible kidney disease, with abnormalities in kidney structure and function. Based on the BPJS Health report, the number of catastrophic disease sufferers in Indonesia will increase to around 29.7 million cases by 2023. Kidney failure disease ranks 4th, with an increase in cases from 1.3 million to 1.5 million cases with treatment costs of IDR 2.9 trillion. The accuracy of diagnosis coding based on ICD-10 is very important for the quality of hospital services, reporting, and the accuracy of health insurance claim rates. In 2023 chronic kidney disease at hospital X as many as 229 medical records of inpatients who have performed hemodialysis. This study aims to assess the accuracy of diagnosis coding of chronic kidney disease cases based on ICD-10 at hospital X in 2023. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a sample size of 146 medical records of inpatients, using random sampling techniques. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by means of observation of medical record documents, Data analysis in this study is a univariate analysis carried out by the formula, category frequency: total sample x 100%. From the results of the percentage calculation, it shows that the accuracy of the chronic kidney disease diagnosis code is 112 cases (77%) and 34 cases (23%) are inaccurate. The inaccuracy was due to coder errors in determining the combination code, incomplete medical information, and coder accuracy in analyzing medical record documents.

Abstract

Burnout refers to a state of physical, psychological, and emotional fatigue that arises due to continuous workplace-related stress. This condition is frequently encountered among healthcare personnel, including those serving in hospital support roles. To assess burnout levels, several standardized tools are available, one of which is the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). This instrument comprises 22 items categorized into three core aspects: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and diminished personal accomplishment. The objective of this research is to explore the association between burnout and demographic factors such as age, sex, marital status, educational attainment, and duration of employment. A quantitative approach using correlational analysis was employed in this study. The research involved total population sampling, encompassing 54 support service workers at Ciremai Hospital, with data collected through questionnaires. The data analysis process included both univariate and bivariate methods, with Spearman's rank correlation test utilized to evaluate inter-variable associations. Findings indicated that 33 respondents (82.5%) experienced moderate levels of burnout. Furthermore, statistical analysis revealed that among the five observed characteristics, only marital status showed a significant correlation with burnout (p-value = 0.040).
