Abstract

Wayang kulit is one of the local wisdom of the community that contains good values ​​to develop the character of the younger generation. This study aims to increase the love of the homeland by utilizing the story of the Petruk Dadi Ratu wayang kulit as a learning medium and increasing students' learning motivation with more efficient delivery. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative, taking the research location at SMP Santo Paulus Singaraja, the research subjects were determined through snowball sampling techniques, data collection using observation techniques, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, and the data analysis technique using interactive model data analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results obtained from this study are (1) implementing an attitude of love for the homeland through flag ceremonies, singing mandatory songs, commemorating national days, displaying the national symbol, and mid-semester breaks, (2) the values ​​contained in the Petruk Dadi Ratu shadow puppet story include two indicators, namely, preserving the arts and culture of the homeland, and instilling nationalism of unity and togetherness, (3) The results of the attitudes shown by students after watching the Petruk Dadi Ratu shadow puppet story are that there is an increase in love for the homeland, although not very significant, this is based on habits that students have done previously.

Abstract

Penelitialn inli bertuljuan untulk meningkatkan halsil belaljar silswa kelalls VIII Hatta SMP Negerli 4 Singaraja melallui Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Metode yalng dilgunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitialn tindalkan kelals (PTlK) yalng dilalkukan dallam dula tindakan. Sulbjek penelitialn ini adallah 32 silswa kelas VIII Hatta SMlP Negerli 4 Singaraja. Hlasil belaljar silswa dinillai pada ketiga ralnah yaitu, pengetahuan (kognlitif), sikap (afekltif), daln keterampilaln. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengevaluasi hasil belajar siswa pada ranah pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif (kualitatif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam dua kali siklus tindakan telah terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar secara signifikan dari ketiga ranah yakni, pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran PPKn.

Abstract

This study generally examines Pancasila as the foundation of the state and ideology of the Indonesian nation, which contains fundamental values that serve as guidelines in the life of the nation and state. Amidst the challenges of globalization, technological advances, and rapid socio-cultural changes, strengthening national character through education has become very important. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Pancasila values in social education as a strategy for building a national character that is integrity, moral, and patriotic. The method used is library research by examining various scientific literature related to social education and Pancasila values. The results of the study show that social education plays a strategic role in instilling the values of Belief in God, Humanity, Unity, Democracy, and Justice through three main approaches, namely education about Pancasila, education through Pancasila, and education for Pancasila. These approaches have proven effective in strengthening national identity, student morality, and the spirit of democracy and social responsibility. However, their implementation still faces challenges such as low teacher competence, a technocratic curriculum, and the influence of global culture that is not in line with national values. The conclusion of this study confirms that Pancasila-based social education is key to shaping Indonesians with character and a national perspective. This implies that there needs to be synergy between schools, families, and communities to create an educational environment that is conducive to the comprehensive and sustainable internalization of Pancasila values.  Keywords: Pancasila, Social Education, and National Character
