Abstract

Community Service (PKM) activities at St. Francis of Assisi Lamahora Parish were carried out to build congregational participation in church life, especially in BKSN activities. The purpose of this activity is to increase awareness and participation of the congregation in BKSN activities and to improve the quality of life of the congregation at St. Francis of Assisi Lamahora Parish. The method used in the KKN activities at St. Francis of Assisi Lamahora Parish is the live-in approach which emphasizes the active participation of the congregation in every activity. The results of this activity show that the activities carried out at St. Francis of Assisi Lamahora Parish have succeeded in increasing congregational participation in church activities, especially in BKSN activities.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the strategy of Catholic Religious Education (PAK) teachers in shaping the honest character of students at Penikenek Elementary School. This research is important to do because the value of honesty is the main foundation in the formation of the character of students with integrity, but in practice it is often ignored in everyday life at school. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. the data analysis technique used in this research is the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that honest character is instilled through value learning, habituation, exemplary, and educational sanctions. Teachers act as role models and moral facilitators who instill the value of honesty consistently according to the teachings of the Catholic faith. Despite challenges such as cheating behavior and minor dishonesty, a reflective and humanist approach helps students develop moral awareness. This study recommends strengthening school and parent cooperation, continuous teacher training, and integration of honesty values in all learning processes to form a school culture with character.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Katolik (PAK) dalam membentuk karakter jujur peserta didik di SDN Penikenek. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan karena nilai kejujuran merupakan fondasi utama dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik yang berintegritas, namun dalam praktiknya sering kali diabaikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di sekolah. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu redukasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter jujur ditanamkan melalui pembelajaran nilai, pembiasaan, keteladanan, dan pemberian sanksi edukatif. Guru berperan sebagai teladan dan fasilitator moral yang menanamkan nilai kejujuran secara konsisten sesuai ajaran iman Katolik. Meskipun ditemukan tantangan seperti perilaku mencontek dan ketidakjujuran kecil, pendekatan yang reflektif dan humanis membantu siswa mengembangkan kesadaran moral. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kerja sama sekolah dan orang tua, pelatihan guru secara berkelanjutan, serta integrasi nilai kejujuran dalam seluruh proses pembelajaran untuk membentuk budaya sekolah yang berkarakter.
