Abstract

Logos is a term known to many Christians. The word logos is expressed by humans, translated from Greek meaning: word, saying, message or word. The word Word also refers to what dwells in the human mind such as; mind, reason or logic. The problem is that many people discuss and write about logos theologically but no one has written about logos who have become human beings and are present in the midst of Jewish society to educate and teach. This research aims to explore the meaning of logos that have become human in Jesus Christ based on the Gospel of John 1:1-18 and raise its implications for Christian Religious Education. The research method used to answer this problem is a qualitative research method with literature study work that supports a historical criticism approach to the text. From this discussion, the author offers the result as a new perspective that the church needs to implement the meaning of the logos, through Christian education for the congregation.

Abstract

This paper is a hermeneutic study of the prayer taught by Jesus to His disciples based on the Gospel of Matthew 6:5-15. The main question in this study is how was the model of prayer taught by Jesus to his disciples? According to Matthew, this prayer formula was given by Jesus on His own initiative after He criticized the wrong understanding and practice of prayer among Judaism. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, where the data obtained is in the form of explanations of concepts or texts and not numbers. These data were obtained from literature studies, especially through exegetical studies of Bible manuscripts. The analysis concludes that Jesus provided a new paradigm of prayer through the Lord's Prayer as a model of prayer for His disciples. The prayer model includes several essential elements, starting from the prayer address, worship, petition and doxology. The end of this study is a conclusion about how God's servants should follow the way of prayer taught by Jesus, especially the simple but clear and concise prayer pattern, which consists of the prayer address, worship, petition and doxology.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

In human connections, loyalty serves as the bedrock, frequently challenged by acts of disloyalty, letdowns, and emotional scars from relationships. Such injuries inflict not just psychological pain but also disrupt one's spiritual equilibrium, leading to a profound loss of confidence in self, fellow beings, and even the divine. From a Christian viewpoint, concepts of fidelity and treachery are framed within the promise of healing through Christ's boundless affection. This investigation seeks to examine the interplay of steadfastness under strain from interpersonal harms and its mending process, guided by a pastoral theology attuned to trauma. Employing a qualitative methodology centered on literary review, information is gathered from scriptural passages, writings on pastoral divinity, insights from trauma psychology, and modern analyses of ecclesiastical practices. Proceeds descriptively and analytically, juxtaposing doctrinal concepts with trauma viewpoints to forge a practical framework for pastoral application. Findings reveal that tested loyalty transcends mere moral concerns, intertwining deeply with the essence of one's belief system. Pastoral theology stresses that mending relational breaches should anchor in unwavering devotion to the Almighty, acknowledging that complete human reconciliation may remain elusive. A trauma-sensitive pastoral strategy proves apt, as it prioritizes establishing secure environments, weaving in elements of devotion and ritual, and viewing absolution as an ongoing journey rather than a swift mandate. Within the Reformed GMIM framework, such relational afflictions are seen as facets of flawed humanity, yet redeemable into avenues for spiritual maturation via divine mercy. Ultimately, this inquiry underscores that authentic renewal surpasses simple interpersonal mending, evolving into a holistic life metamorphosis grounded in the Lord's enduring compassion and reliability.
