Abstract

Based on this background, researchers are interested in researching related to "Caregiver Communication Strategies in Forming the Religious Character of Children at the Dharma Widya Kumara Orphanage, Kubu Village, Bangli Regency", with the formulation of the problem, namely 1) What is the communication strategy used by caregivers in shaping the religious character of children? 2) What are the obstacles and efforts made by caregivers in using communication strategies to shape the religious character of children? 3) What is the impact of the communication strategy used by caregivers in shaping the religious character of children? The theory used in this research is interpersonal communication theory, communication barrier theory, S_O_R (Stimulus-Organism-Response) theory. This study uses a qualitative approach. This type of data collection is qualitative from primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation.The findings of the research are: 1) The communication strategies applied by caregivers in shaping the religious character of children at the Dharma Widya Kumara Orphanage, Kubu Village, Bangli Regency are persuasive communication strategies,coercive communication strategies and redundancy (reputation) communication strategies. 2) Obstacles in implementing communication strategies by caregivers in forming the religious character of children at the Dharma Widya Kumara Orphanage, Kubu Village, Bangli Regency, have internal and external obstacles. 3) The impacts arising from the communication strategy applied by caregivers in shaping the religious character of foster children at the Dharma Widya Kumara Orphanage, Kubu Village, Bangli Regency are: changes in the quality of children from the cognitive aspect, changes in the quality of children from the affective aspect, changes in the quality of children from the psychomotor aspect.

Abstract

The role of the Hindu Religious Counselor is very important to help the community understand and strengthen the Sradha and Bhakti teachings of Hinduism. Based on the background, three problem formulations were obtained, namely: 1) How is the Persuasive Communication Process for Hindu Religious Counselors in Badung Regency in Consolidating Sradha and Bhakti for Hindus?; 2) What is the Public Perception of the Persuasive Communication of Hindu Religious Counselors in Badung Regency in Consolidating Sradha and Bhakti of Hindus?; and 3) What are the implications of persuasive communication for Hindu religious instructors in Badung Regency in Consolidating Sradha and Bhakti of Hindus?. The theory used in this research is persuasive communication theory, constructive perception theory, and mass communication effect theory. This study uses a qualitative approach. The findings of the research are: 1) Based on the process of fostering Hindus in Badung Regency from the Persuasive Communication Aspect carried out by the Hindu Religious Counselor at the Office of the Ministry of Religion of Badung Regency, it can be divided into several stages as follows: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. 2) Public Perception of Hindu Religion Extension Office of the Ministry of Religion of Badung Regency in Consolidating Sradha and Bhakti, to be before and after the Application of Persuasive Communication. 3) Based on the implications are divided into 3 effects, namely: 1) cognitive effects include knowledge, affective effects include attitudes and behavioral effects include actions or behavior

Abstract

Talepud Gianyar Traditional Village has a unique reality, namely adhering to two customary village government systems consisting of government with the spirit of Ancient Bali and Bali Dataran. Evidently, the Talepud Traditional Village was led by Jro Kubayan and Jro Bandesa. Even though the history of governance is different, the two of them still manage the traditional village according to their respective policies, so that there is quite a striking dualism of government in the Talepud Traditional Village. This study analyzes interpersonal communication as a space for peace that brings together the Jro Kubayan administration and Jero Bendesa Adat in carrying out customary government duties in Talebud Adat Village, Sebatu, Gianyar. The analysis is based on three problem formulations, namely why are there two government systems in the Talepud Traditional Village? how is the implementation of interpersonal communication between Jro Kubayan and Jro Bendesa in carrying out traditional tasks in the Talepud Traditional Village? and what is the impact of interpersonal communication between Jro Kubayan and Jro Bendesa on the implementation of traditional activities in the Talepud Traditional Village. The formulation of the problem is analyzed by functional and structural theory, interpersonal communication theory and S.O.R. communication theory. The results of this study indicate that the background of the dualism of traditional leadership in Talebut Traditional Village is based on the historical aspect, namely the acculturation of the hulu apad system (ancient Bali) and apanaga (Balinese Plains). Jro Kubayan and Jero Bandesa Adat are also seen as having a differentiation of duties and functions which together are very important to the community, namely, Jro Kubayan specifically becomes the leader for aspects of Hindu religious rituals, while Jro Bandesa focuses on the realization of executive duties in accordance with the applicable customary village regulations. The implementation of interpersonal communication between Jro Kubayan and Jro Bendesa fulfills the basic requirements of interpersonal communication consisting of communicators and communicants that involve both, messages are mostly non-verbal, feedback is seen unilaterally, namely only happening to Jro Kubayan through the act of refusing the treatment of traditional village officials , the media that is applied consists of formal media such as Pasangkepan and informal media such as small talk although it is not optimal, there are even obstacles such as physical, semantic, psychological, physical and human barriers. The impact of interpersonal communication consists of internal impacts as indicated by changes in people's attitudes and the quality of customary activities in the Talepud Traditional Village, as well as external impacts in the form of changes in communication with wawidayangan or pasemetonan traditional villages and changes in the image of Talepud Traditional Village in the eyes of other traditional villages. Abstract

Seni pertunjukan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media penyampaian pesan simbolik melalui gerak tari, ekspresi, kostum, musik gamelan, serta narasi yang disampaikan kepada penonton. Dalam konteks pariwisata budaya, komunikasi simbolik menjadi elemen penting untuk menjembatani pemahaman wisatawan terhadap makna budaya yang terkandung dalam pertunjukan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komunikasi simbolik dalam seni pertunjukan Barong and Keris Dance Sahadewa Batubulan, Kecamatan Sukawati, Kabupaten Gianyar, yang merupakan salah satu pertunjukan budaya Bali yang memiliki nilai religius, filosofis, dan estetika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai bentuk pementasan, pola komunikasi simbolik, serta dampak penggunaan simbol dalam pertunjukan tersebut. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi dalam pertunjukan berlangsung melalui dua bentuk, yaitu komunikasi verbal terlihat pada dialog tokoh, penjelasan pemandu, dan brosur multibahasa, sedangkan nonverbal lebih dominan melalui simbol agama, gerak tubuh, ekspresi, kostum, serta properti. Pertunjukan ini merepresentasikan pertarungan dharma dan adharma dalam keseimbangan rwa bhineda. Setiap alur mencerminkan nilai pengorbanan, ujian moral, hingga keseimbangan kosmis. Berdasarkan konsep AGIL Talcott Parsons, pertunjukan ini mampu beradaptasi dengan pariwisata tanpa kehilangan identitas, berfungsi sebagai pelestarian budaya sekaligus edukasi dan hiburan, menciptakan integrasi antara pemain dan penonton, serta menjaga keberlanjutan nilai budaya. Dengan demikian, pertunjukan Barong and Keris Dance Sahadewa Batubulan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tontonan, tetapi juga sebagai media komunikasi budaya yang efektif dalam mentransmisikan nilai-nilai filosofis, religius, dan sosial kepada wisatawan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi nilai-nilai Tri Kaya Parisudha dalam komunikasi sosial pada forum Parum Agung di Banjar Kederi, Desa Singapadu Kaler, Kecamatan Sukawati, Kabupaten Gianyar, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penghambat penerapannya, serta menganalisis implikasi penyimpangan nilai tersebut terhadap dinamika komunikasi sosial masyarakat adat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang melibatkan prajuru adat dan krama banjar yang aktif dalam forum. Analisis data mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi sumber dan teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai Tri Kaya Parisudha telah diimplementasikan dalam praktik komunikasi forum, tercermin dari upaya menjaga kejernihan berpikir (manacika), penggunaan bahasa yang santun (wacika), serta tindakan yang mengikuti hasil keputusan bersama (kayika). Namun, implementasinya masih dipengaruhi oleh faktor psikologis, perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan, kepentingan individu, dominasi tokoh, dan dinamika generasi. Penyimpangan nilai berimplikasi pada menurunnya kualitas dialog, ketimpangan partisipasi, serta potensi ketegangan dalam forum. Mekanisme adat seperti awig-awig, perarem, dan peran prajuru terbukti efektif mengendalikan penyimpangan sehingga stabilitas dan kohesi sosial masyarakat banjar tetap terjaga.
