Abstract

Developments in the field of education in the industrial era 4.0 demanded a change in students' perspectives on the quality of learning such as learning in biology subjects. Biology learning can foster students' thinking skills to solve everyday problems through observation and observations that are based on a scientific attitude and can develop scientific process skills. To achieve this, it is necessary to choose the right model. Student-centered models such as project based learning are very suitable for today's learning supported by adequate technology and increase student learning interest such as augmented reality. This study aims to see an increase in science process skills and scientific attitudes of students from the development of augmented reality-assisted project based learning models. The research method with the ADDIE development model and the type of research and development research. The research instrument consisted of interviews, observations and tests, the population of all students in class XI IPA and samples XI IPA 1, XI IPA 3. The results showed that for KPS the average pretest score for the experimental class was 49.9 and the average posttest score was 80.5 while in the control class the average pretest score was 48.7 and the posttest average score was 60 and for scientific attitude the average experimental pretest score was 60, the posttest was 86.9 while the control class averaged the pretest score was 58.9 posttest was 81. Followed by analysis t test and obtained a sig(2-tailed) value of 0.000<0.05, so it was concluded that the development of the AR-assisted PjBL model can improve KPS and scientific attitudes of students. The recommendation from this research is that this project-based learning model manual is used to improve problem-solving skills in different materials.

Abstract

The problem that is the focus of this research is the decline in students' learning motivation and the ability to master concepts in class VIII students in science subjects at Miftahul Falah Middle School, Kuningan Regency. The objectives of the research carried out were: 1) Analyzing the effect of implementing the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on student learning motivation; 2) Analyzing the effect of implementing the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on Mastery of Human Respiratory System Concepts; 3) Analyze the differences in Mastery of Human Respiratory System Concepts in classes that apply the Two Stay Two Stray learning model (experimental class) and classes that apply the expository model (control class); 4) Knowing students' responses to the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model in class VIII of Miftahul Falah Middle School, Kuningan Regency; The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method. The subjects in this research were 52 Class VIII students of Miftahul Fallah Middle School, Kuningan Regency, consisting of class VIII.A (26 people) as the experimental class and class VIII. B (26 people) as the control class. Based on the results of calculations and data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) There is an influence of the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on student learning motivation; 2) There is an influence of the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on Concept Mastery; 3) There is a difference in Mastery of Human Respiratory System Concepts in classes that apply the Two Stay Two Stray learning model (experimental class) and classes that apply the expository model (control class); 4) Students have a positive response to science learning by implementing the Two Stay Two Stray learning model, the result of the student response percentage is 81.32% who give positive responses and are interested in using the Two Stay Two Stray learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the implementation of process standards and assessment standards in science learning at the junior high school level in Ciamis Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using survey method. The number of subjects in this study were 4 class IX science teachers at SMPN 1 Ciamis, SMPN 1 Panjalu, SMPN 3 Panawangan and SMPN 7 Banjarsari. The sampling technique used purposive sampling type of non-probability sampling. Data collection techniques used were observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research instruments were observation sheets, interview guidelines and document analysis guidelines. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman Model where the qualitative data analysis process is carried out in three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the science learning process which includes the planning, implementation and assessment stages during the pandemic has generally been well implemented.

Abstract

This research and development is motivated by the limited use of digital media in the digitalization era applied by teachers in the science learning process so that scientific literacy and students' scientific attitudes are very low and student learning processes become inactive. This research and development aims to describe the products that have been developed by researchers based on the Borg and Gall (1983) model. Data collection was carried out using test, observation, feasibility questionnaires and student response questionnaires. The data analysis used is descriptive quantitative and descriptive Bio Educatio Vol. 7 No. 2 April 2022 | 2 qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the research are as follows: (1) Research and collect information. (2) Planning. (3) Development of initial product forms or research designs. (4) Preliminary field trials on subjects obtained very good categories. (5) The product revision obtained an average score based on the Likert scale, namely from a media expert with a score of 4, a material expert with a score of 4, so that it was categorized as very good and the average score of pedagogic expert 3 was categorized as good. (6) The main field trials of scientific attitude assessment based on indicators of honesty obtained 2.5 with good criteria, curiosity obtained 2.6 with good criteria, openness obtained a value of 2.1 with less criteria and distrust obtained a value of 2.1 with criteria not enough. While on feasibility obtained an average based on media aspects 3.6, language and material aspects 3.6 and benefits aspects 3.5 with good criteria and student responses obtained an average based on media aspects 3.6, language and material aspects 3, 5, the benefit aspect is 3.6 with good criteria. (7) Operational product revision is related to product revision in the fifth stage. (8) Operational field testing obtained values based on the N-gain of the experimental class at pretest 38 and posttest 87 so that there was a significant increase (9) Final product. (10) Mass deployment. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that three-dimensional digital comics can improve scientific literacy and scientific attitude of students so that they are suitable for use in schools.

Abstract

The implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka is a policy to restore the learning process after the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of the Kurikulum Merdeka is not only to develop student intelligence but also to develop student character in accordance with the values in Pancasila. The characters is developed through the project of Pancasila  Student Profile (In Indonesian: Pengembangan Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila - P5). The P5 requires a deep understanding of the notion of P5, the theme in P5 implementation, and the method to develop P5 modules. Building on the necessity for the project implementation, this community service aims to provide knowledge about the implementation of P5 and assistance in developing P5 modules. The activity in the community service includes 1) teacher training on the principles of Pancasila student profile development in the implementation of P5, and 2) further assistance in developing P5 module, especially in the relation between the themes, the flow of activities, reflection process and evaluation process. The results of the activities were observed in the increase in teachers' understanding of the implementation of P5 and the improvement in the quality of the P5 module designImplementasi kurikulum merdeka merupakan suatu kebijakan untuk melakukan pemulihan pembelajaran setelah masa pandemi covid-19. Implementasi kurikulum merdeka tidak hanya bertujuan mengembangkan kecerdasan siswa saja namun juga mengembangkan karakter sesuai dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila, pengembangan karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai – nilai Pancasila dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan Pengembangan Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). Implementasi P5 memerlukan pemahaman yang mendalam terhadap pemahaman P5, penentuan tema dalam pelaksanaan P5, dan pengembangan modul P5. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang implementasi P5 dan pendampingan pengembangan modul P5. Metode dalam kegiatan ini adalah 1) pelatihan kepada guru-guru tentang prinsip-prinsip pengembangan profil pelajar pancasila pada implementasi P5, dan 2) pendampingan pengembangan modul P5 terutama keterkaitan antara tema, alur kegiatan, refleksi dan evaluasi. Hasil yang dicapai adalah peningkatan pemaham guru-guru terhadap implementasi P5 serta peningkatan kualitas rancangan modul P5.

Abstract

The development of technology and information in the world of education is very fast but its utilization is not optimal in the learning process. Therefore it is necessary to develop learning media by utilizing technological developments to assist the learning process such as practicum activities because the facilities for carrying out conventional practicums are not adequate, so that the existence of technology can facilitate these limitations. This research method is Research and Development which adapts the ADDIE development model, the research subjects are class XI students of SMAN 1 Taraju, Tasikmalaya Regency. This learning media is said to be very feasible based on due diligence according to media experts with a total percentage of 98%, material experts with a total percentage of 93.63%. This learning media in its application is able to improve critical thinking skills and problem solving 0.75 in the high category, namely with an average normalized N-gain index from pretest to posttest of 0.97 in the high category while the results of student responses to learning media with a total percentage of 94 % with very strong category. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the development of Android-based Virtual Laboratory learning media can improve critical thinking skills and problem solving.
