Abstract

This study aims to find out how the implementation of strengthening Pancasila student profiles in the independent curriculum in junior high school science learning is based on student responses. This research is a qualitative research. The type of data presented in qualitative research is primary data obtained from student response questionnaires. The population in this study is all junior high schools in Cirebon city that have implemented the independent independent curriculum, with a total of 30 schools consisting of 13 public schools and 17 private schools. School sampling in this study used a proportional random sampling technique. Sampling in this study the authors used a sampling method with a ratio of 30%, so the number of school samples was 9 schools with 4 public schools and 5 private schools. In collecting data, the writer uses indirect data collection techniques in the form of a Linkert Scale questionnaire instrument. Based on the results, Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles in the independent curriculum based on students' responses stated that in the learning process facilitating the development of Pancasila student profiles, students agreed to gain an understanding of the science context according to CP and learning and assessments that support literacy and numeracy skills, gain an understanding of the science context according to with the learning outcomes of Phase D, carry out activities or assignments that are relevant to the skills on learning outcomes of Phase D and Pancasila Student Profiles, get learning activities with literacy and numeracy, and students agree to get an assessment in the science learning process conducted by the teacher. So it can be concluded that the implementation of strengthening the profile of Pancasila students in the independent independent curriculum changed to Middle School Science learning has been implemented well in the Science learning process by teachers and can be understood by students.

Abstract

Student Profile Pancasila, is the goal in the independent curriculum transformation, This independent curriculum also strengthens the achievement of the Pancasila student profile developed according to the themes determined by the government, where to become an outstanding and productive individual in the 21st century, one must have global abilities and character in accordance with Pancasila values. The characteristics of the Pancasila Student Profile are: having faith and devotion to the One Almighty God and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical thinking, and creativity. Analyzing the Pancasila Student Profile is developed in the learning process, in previous research, there has not been a study regarding the analysis of strengthening the Pancasila student profile. This research is qualitative research, involving participation from high school students in the 10th grade, with a total of 8 schools, data observation with analysis using triangulation. The aim is to analyze the strengthening of the Pancasila student profile in the learning process, viewed from the teaching module with 5 aspects, namely: a) The arrangement of learning objectives according to the achievement of Phase E learning and including prerequisite knowledge. b) Understanding of Biology according to Phase E. c) Project-based or case study learning. d) Literacy and numeracy. e) The Pancasila student profile in the independent curriculum seen from assessment. The implementation of strengthening the Pancasila student profile in biology learning shows that there are still deficiencies in 3 schools, especially in the arrangement of learning objectives, which are not appropriate because the competencies in the learning achievement are not stated and the strengthening of the Pancasila student profile is not included. Issues in project-based learning plans and issues in the module are not contextual and the measurement of biology understanding is in line with the Learning Outcomes, but the presentation of questions is not in accordance with the revised Bloom's taxonomy. The implementation of strengthening the Pancasila student profile in the learning process is crucial in efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia in accordance with the needs of the times.

Abstract

The problem that is the focus of this research is the decline in students' learning motivation and the ability to master concepts in class VIII students in science subjects at Miftahul Falah Middle School, Kuningan Regency. The objectives of the research carried out were: 1) Analyzing the effect of implementing the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on student learning motivation; 2) Analyzing the effect of implementing the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on Mastery of Human Respiratory System Concepts; 3) Analyze the differences in Mastery of Human Respiratory System Concepts in classes that apply the Two Stay Two Stray learning model (experimental class) and classes that apply the expository model (control class); 4) Knowing students' responses to the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model in class VIII of Miftahul Falah Middle School, Kuningan Regency; The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental method. The subjects in this research were 52 Class VIII students of Miftahul Fallah Middle School, Kuningan Regency, consisting of class VIII.A (26 people) as the experimental class and class VIII. B (26 people) as the control class. Based on the results of calculations and data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) There is an influence of the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on student learning motivation; 2) There is an influence of the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model on Concept Mastery; 3) There is a difference in Mastery of Human Respiratory System Concepts in classes that apply the Two Stay Two Stray learning model (experimental class) and classes that apply the expository model (control class); 4) Students have a positive response to science learning by implementing the Two Stay Two Stray learning model, the result of the student response percentage is 81.32% who give positive responses and are interested in using the Two Stay Two Stray learning model.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low value of mastery of the concept of biology lessons in Ecology material at SMAN 1 Lohbener, due to the lack of application of a learning model that activates students in the learning process. The Project Based Learning model is a project-based learning model with one of its characteristics being product-oriented that has entrepreneurial value. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of students' mastery of entrepreneurial concepts and attitudes based on local wisdom. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design with the sample used being taken purposively as many as 50 students, which were divided into experimental and control groups. The data collection technique uses a concept mastery test, an entrepreneurial attitude questionnaire, and a student response questionnaire. The result of this study is that there is an increase in students' mastery of concepts in Ecology material through the application of a project-based learning model which is evidenced by a significant difference in mastery of the concept of the experimental class with a control class with a probability value (p) of 0.001< 0.05, and a nominal gain index of the experimental class of 0.34 with an increase in the medium category and an increase in students' entrepreneurial attitudes based on local wisdom as evidenced by the value of The normalized gain index in the experimental class was 0.03 with a low improvement category.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills and scientific literacy are known to be low because the learning process does not involve students so that students are les active in participating in learning. This research was conducted with the aim of improving students critical thinking skillss and scientific literacy on the concept of envinomental pollution. The research method used in this study was quasi experimental with a two group pretest posttest design. Sampling was done by using random sampling technique. The research sample was students of class X MIA MAN 2 Tasikmalaya City. The instrument used in this study was as critical thinking ability description test sheet as many as 13 queation, LKPD to measure scientific litteracy, and a student response questionaire sheet to learning. The data analysis technique used was t test with a significantion of the level of 0.05. The conclusion of this study is the effect of discovery learning learning models on students' critical thinking skills and scientific literacy on the concept of environmental pollution Bio Educatio Vol. 7 No. 2 April 2022 | 2 (experimental study in class X MAN 2 Tasikmalaya City in 2021/2022). The results of the study show that the Discovery learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills as indicated by the average gain value. This is supported by the response of students who gave a percentage score of 94% which indicates that the response of students to learning is very positive and really likes learning using the discovery learning model on the concept of environmental pollution.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in scientific literacy and scientific attitude of students through practicum learning with vee diagrams on ecosystem material. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental with "static group pretest-posttest design". The research subjects were students of class VII in one of the junior high schools in Cirebon Regency. The sample is 65 students. The results showed that the implementation of practicum learning with the vee diagram was almost entirely carried out in accordance with the practicum stages. Based on the average difference test, the results showed that there was no significant (significant) difference between the average scientific literacy of students in the control class and the experimental class. The data processing techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing (t test). Based on the results of the analysis using Kolmogorov- Smirnova that practical learning with vee diagrams can improve students' scientific literacy on ecosystem materials. The results showed that there was an increase in students' scientific literacy, especially in the aspect of competence in identifying scientific problems by 85%. In the aspect of science attitudes, practicum with vee diagrams is able to improve students' scientific attitudes on indicators of responsibility for resources and the environment. Most students expressed a positive response to the application of practicum learning with the help of vee diagrams on ecosystem material.

Abstract

LKPD merupakan sarana optimal untuk mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains karena pembelajaran dengan menggunakan LKPD dapat memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk memahami atau mengerjakan soal yang ada. Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan LKPD berbasis pemanfaatan Larva dari Hermatia illunces memiliki potensi sebagai bio konversi sampah organik seperti memiliki waktu yang cepat dalam menguba sampah organik menjadi kompos.  Pemanfaatan larva Black Soldier Fly (BSF) terhadap sampah organik. Pemanfaatan ini deteliti selama 21 hari yaitu masa makan larva atau sebelum masa prepufa. Larva BSF dapat mengulah sampah sebanyak 10kg selama 21 hari, yang dipengaruhi oleh suhu dan kelembapan. Larva BSF hidup di suhu optimal 30,00° C dan kelembaban 8-8,5%. Validasi bahan ajar berupa LKPD  yang dilakukan oleh empat ahli yaitu ahli media, ahli materi ahli guru IPA dan Ahli guru Bahasa MTs. Peneliti menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang masing-masing kelas mendapatkan perlakuan pretes dan postes. Hasil penelitian literasi lingkungan kelas kontrol didapat nilai n-gain sebesar 0,54 dengan kategori sedang. Sedangkan literasi lingkungan di kelas eksperimen dengan nilai n-gain sebesar 0,71 dengan kategori tinggi. Kesadaran lingkungan siswa kelas eksperimen lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hal ini karena jumlah siswa yang menjawab sangat setuju kelas eksperimen lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Namun, sebaliknya siswa yang menjawab kurang setuju adalah dengan jumlah paling banyak berada dikelas kontrol. Ini menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis pemanfaatan larva BSF dapat meningkatkan kesadran lingkungan siswa

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) Determine the validity of KPS-Based Student Worksheet practicum based on the results of the development (2) To describe the functioning of the results of the development of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum on food substances test, (3) Analyze the effectiveness of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum on the improvement of concept mastery on the Food Substance Test practicum, (4) Analyzing the effectiveness of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum on improving students' scientific attitudes on the Food Substance Test practicum. The research method uses a mixed approach (mix methods). Exploratory research design. The sample used as many as 36 students. Data collection techniques using multiple choice test questions, questionnaires, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and average difference test, and the gain index. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that: (1) The assessment of the KPS-based Student Worksheets practicum developed was valid based on validator 1 and 2 assessments from didactic, linguistic, construction and engineering aspects. (2) Based on teacher and student assessment responses the functioning of the KPS-based Student Worksheets practicum that is developed is included in both categories in accordance with aspects of the assessment of the appropriateness of content, linguistic, presentation and graphic. (3) The development of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum is very effective to improve students concept mastery because students are guided in making observations, interpreting observations, classifying  and predicting. Thus the first research hypothesis was proven. (4) The development of KPS-based Student Worksheet practicum is very effective to improve students scientific attitudes, especially the attitude of curiosity, honest attitude, conscientious attitude and attitude of responsibility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru sehingga lemahnya kemampuan siswa dalam bernalar dan kecerdasan naturalis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan penilaian autentik pada model PBL terhadap Penalaran Konsep berbasis Marzano dan Kecerdasan Naturalis. Kemampuan bernalar  siswa yang tinggi akan memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah di kehidupan sehari-hari sedangkan kecerdasan naturalis siswa akan berdampak terhadap kemampuan merawat alam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Kuasi eksperimen, dengan Nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTs Yaspika Kuningan Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019, sedangkan yang dijadikan sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII D dan VII F. Kelas VII D dengan jumlah 28 orang menggunakan penilaian autentik pada model PBL , sedangkan kelas VII F dengan jumlah 28 orang menggunakan model konvensional. Penalaram konsep siswa dikumpulkan menggunakan tes uraian yang diolah secara kuantitatif, kecerdasan naturalis dikumpulkan menggunakan LKS dan lembar observasi yang diolah secara kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka kesimpulan penelitian ini sebagai berikut: 1) Untuk hasil post-test terdapat perbedaan rata-rata yaitu kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas  kontrol , H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yaitu penerapan penilaian autentik pada model pembelajaran PBL dapat meningkatkan penalaran konsep berbasis Marzano dan Kecerdasan naturalis siswa kelas VII pada konsep Pencemaran lingkungan di MTs Yaspika Kuningan . 2) Untuk melihat peningkatan hasil dari nilai dari pre-test ke nilai post-test kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol maka dilakukan uji N-gain,  hasilnya pada kelas eksperimen adalah 0,83 termasuk kedalam kategori tinggi dan untuk kelas kontrol adalah 0,74 termasuk kedalam kriteria sedang. 3) LKS digunakan untuk melihat kemampuan kecerdasan naturalis siswa dan hasilnya kelas eksperimen yang di beri perlakuan lebih tinggi dari kelas control. 4) Lembar observasi guru yang digunakan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penilaian autentik pada model pembelajaran PBL dengan persentasi sebesar 93,33 %. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru termasuk kedalam kategori baik sekali.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how the influence of project-based learning models on students' creative thinking skills and life skills in the subject of fungi. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the application of project-based learning models on students' creative thinking skills and life skills in the subject of fungi. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The population in this study was all students of class X at SMK Ponpes Abu Manshur Cirebon in the academic year 2019/2020, with a purposive sampling technique used to select 50 students. Data collection techniques included tests, observation, and questionnaires. The results of this study are: (1) Students' creative thinking skills in the subject of fungi increased through the application of the project-based learning model, as evidenced by a significant difference in creative thinking skills between the experimental class and the control class with a probability value (p) of 0.001 < 0.05. (2) There was no significant difference in students' life skills through the application of the project-based learning model in the subject of fungi with a p-value of 0.083 > 0.05.
