Abstract

Prospective students who wish to enter higher education must first choose the study program they desire, as this program will provide them with the knowledge and skills needed for their future. Selecting a study program may seem easy for prospective students, given the wide range of options available at a university. However, they also need to consider other factors, both internal and external, when making their choice. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the interest of prospective students in choosing the D3 Accounting Program at Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin and to provide information regarding the profile of respondents based on student status, gender, and the level of decision-making in selecting the D3 Accounting Program at Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin. The data analysis techniques used in this study include descriptive analysis, instrument testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing to analyze the effect of two or more independent variables on the dependent variable using regression equations for two or more variables. The t-test is used to examine the significance of each independent variable's constant, determining whether each variable has a partial (individual) effect on the dependent variable, while the F-test is used to assess the simultaneous impact of the independent variables on the dependent variable, determining whether the influence is significant or not. The results of the hypothesis testing using the F-test and t-test indicate that all alternative hypotheses (Ha) are accepted, and null hypotheses (Ho) are rejected. Thus, the findings reveal that social factors, job opportunities, accreditation, and education costs collectively influence the interest of prospective students in choosing the D3 Accounting Program at Poliban

Abstract

The current transformation in education demands a fundamental shift in teacher competency, particularly in the utilization of digital technology. However, many teachers still face a gap between basic technical skills and effective pedagogical implementation. This community service project aims to bridge this gap through Wayground application training for teachers at a partner school (SMPN 32 Banjarmasin). The main problems at the school were conventional evaluation methods that were less engaging and provided minimal feedback, as well as teachers' low knowledge of digital interactive learning platforms. The proposed solution was to conduct Wayground application training. The implementation method included a planning stage, a workshop implementation with a participatory approach, and evaluation using a pre-test and post-test design. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in all aspects of teacher competency in using the Wayground application, with an average competency score almost doubling. This training not only succeeded in improving technical skills but also teachers' pedagogical understanding in designing formative evaluations. It was concluded that Wayground application training is an effective and relevant intervention for improving teachers' digital pedagogical competency. Strategic recommendations are directed to schools to institutionalize this practice and to policymakers to replicate this training model on a wider scale to support national education transformation.ABSTRAKTransformasi pendidikan saat ini menuntut pergeseran fundamental dalam kompetensi guru, terutama dalam pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Namun, banyak guru masih menghadapi kesenjangan antara kemampuan teknis dasar dan implementasi pedagogis yang efektif. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menjembatani kesenjangan tersebut melalui pelatihan aplikasi Wayground bagi guru-guru sekolah mitra (SMPN 32 Banjarmasin). Permasalahan utama di sekolah tersebut adalah metode evaluasi konvensional yang kurang menarik dan minim umpan balik, serta rendahnya pengetahuan guru mengenai platform pembelajaran interaktif digital. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah dengan melaksanakan pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Wayground. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap perencanaan, implementasi lokakarya dengan pendekatan partisipatif, dan evaluasi menggunakan desain pre-test dan post-test. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada seluruh aspek kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi Wayground, dengan peningkatan rata-rata skor kompetensi hampir dua kali lipat. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga pemahaman pedagogis guru dalam merancang evaluasi formatif. Disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan aplikasi Wayground merupakan intervensi yang efektif dan relevan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik digital guru. Rekomendasi strategis ditujukan kepada sekolah untuk menginstitusionalisasikan praktik ini dan kepada pembuat kebijakan untuk mereplikasi model pelatihan ini dalam skala yang lebih luas guna mendukung transformasi pendidikan nasional.
