Abstract

This research discusses Dutch colonialism in the Indonesian education system. How does colonialism play a role in Indonesian education, especially ethical politics, influencing the education system in Indonesia Dutch colonialism in Indonesia lasted for more than three centuries, with an impact on various aspects of the life of the people of the Republic of Indonesia, one of which included the education system. Education is an effort made to change or develop attitudes, behavior, personal potential, intelligence in a better direction through the learning process. This research aims to determine the role of colonialism in the education system in Indonesia, starting with ethical politics. This research article uses a qualitative analysis method, specifically with literature analysis. According to (Safitri & Anggreani Dewi, 2021) This method is carried out by analyzing data from secondary sources of research articles related to the problems discussed in this research.

Abstract

North Sulawesi is reported to have kaolin deposit reserves reaching to 20 million tons. Metakaolin as a result of calcination of kaolin can be used as a basic material for making environmentally friendly concrete known as geopolymer concrete. The binding process of geopolymer concrete requires elevated temperature curing which in technical construction implementation can be a constraint, so efforts are needed to obtain geopolymer concrete with more practical curing without reducing the quality of the concrete. One alternative that can be done is ambient curing but it requires other materials in the mixture that in the process generate heat to help the polymerization process. The materials chosen as metakaolin substitutes in this study were portland cement and white portland cement by replacing 10% and 15% of the total weight of metakaolin, respectively. The purpose of this study is to obtain the characteristics of North Sulawesi's local metakaolin-based geopolymer concrete with ambient curing by reviewing 3 parameters: concrete compressive strength, then concrete strength against flexure and splitting tensile strength using quantitative research methods through experiments. The results of the study showed that metakaolin-based geopolymer concrete could be made with ambient curing without partial substitution of metakaolin, but with 15% portland cement or white portland cement substitution, geopolymer concrete experienced an increase in compressive strength even reaching 31.4 MPa, splitting tensile strength was obtained at an average of 3.8 MPa and flexural strength was obtained at an average of 0.126 MPa. Abstrak Sulawesi Utara dilaporkan memiliki cadangan endapan kaolin mencapai 20 juta ton. Metakaolin sebagai hasil kalsinasi dari kaolin bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai material dasar pembuatan beton ramah lingkungan yang dikenal sebagai beton geopolimer. Proses pengikatan beton geopolimer memerlukan perawatan panas yang dalam teknis pelaksanaan konstruksi bisa menjadi kendala, sehingga diperlukan upaya untuk mendapatkan beton geopolimer dengan perawatan yang lebih praktis namun tidak mengurangi mutu beton. Salah satu alternatif yang bisa dilakukan yaitu dengan perawatan suhu ruang namun diperlukan material lain dalam campuran yang dalam prosesnya menghasilkan panas sehingga bisa membantu proses polimerisasi. Material yang dipilih sebagai subtituen parsial metakaolin dalam penelitian ini adalah semen dan semen putih dengan mengganti masing-masing 10% dan 15% dari total berat binder. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendapatkan karakteristik beton geopolimer berbasis metakaolin lokal Sulut pada perawatan suhu ruang. Parameter yang ditinjau yaitu kuat tekan beton, kemudian kekuatan beton terhadap lentur dan tarik belah dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif melalui eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beton geopolimer berbasis metakaolin bisa dilakukan dengan perawatan suhu ruang tanpa substitusi parsial metakaolin, namun dengan substitusi 15% semen atau semen putih beton geopolimer mengalami pengingkatan kuat tekan bahkan mencapai 31,4 MPa, kuat tarik belah didapatkan rata-rata 3,8 MPa dan kuat lentur rata-rata 0,126 MPa.
