Abstract

This study aims to: 1) analyze the managerial strategies of madrasah principals in planning teacher competency development, 2) explore the implementation of these strategies, and 3) identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The study was conducted at MAN Kepulauan Selayar, involving madrasah principals, teachers, and related parties. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study results indicate that madrasah principals play a strategic role in developing teacher competency through three main strategies: conducting training and workshops, supervising and monitoring performance, and providing motivation and rewards. Madrasah principals send teachers to attend external training organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and universities. Supervision is carried out periodically to ensure the implementation of training outcomes, while rewards are given to increase teacher motivation. Supporting factors include the commitment of madrasah principals and teachers, partnerships with external institutions, and support from the school community. However, this study also found inhibiting factors, such as budget constraints, time constraints, remote geographic locations, and limited access to technology and training.

Abstract

Arikel ini membahas tentang implementasi system informasi manajemen dalam mengelola data pokok peserta didik dengan menggunakan aplikasi dapodik di UPT SMPN Barugaia Kepulauan Selayar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah Kepala Sekolah, operator serta dua guru SMPN Barugaia. Objek penelitian adalah implementasi dalam mengelola data pokok peserta didik didapodik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Analisis data dengan mereduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan triangulasi data, triangulasi peneliti, triangulasi teori, triangulasi metode, triangulasi lingkungan. Hasil penelitian di SMPN Barugaia Kepulauan Selayar adalah penting nya peran operator sekolah dalam mengelola data-data yang terkait sekolah guna untuk kemajuan sekolah dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan agar dalam penyelenggaraan lebih efektif dan efisien demi mendukung perkembangan pendidikan diindonesia.

Abstract

This study was conducted to know the leadership of the madrasah principal in improving the quality of education based on local wisdom in MAN Kepulauan Selayar. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The method of data collection was conducted by interviewing the principal, teachers, and education staff at MAN Selayar Islands and conducting observations and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out through four stages: data reduction, data presentation, comparative analysis, and concluding. The results showed that there were efforts made by the head of Madrasah to improve the quality of education at MAN Kepulauan Selayar, namely: 1) Fostering extracurricular activities as a forum for channeling talents and interests of students; 2) the formation of a work team; 3) perform supervision; 4) establish and maintain communication with various parties. This research has implications for the importance of the role of leaders in managing change to create superior quality.
