Abstract

Quality education is the key to building competent and civilized learners in the sense of producing outputs that are in accordance with the needs of society. Education management is the responsibility of all parties within the scope of madrasah, one of which is the madrasah committee. But in reality, this is not in accordance with the reality that occurs today, the Madrasah Committee is only limited to being a complement to the Madrasah structure. This research was conducted at MA Madani Alauddin with the aim of researching the synergy of the committee with the madrasah in improving the quality of education at MA Madani Alauddin. The results of this study showed: (1) MA Madani Alauddin committee can be seen from the activeness, existence and implementation of all its roles; as a consideration giver, supporter, controller, and mediator (2) The quality of education in MA Madani Alauddin Makassar can be seen based on educational standards, namely input; content standards, process ; process standards and infrastructure standards, output; (3) The synergy of the committee with madrasah in improving the quality of education , it can be seen that there is coordination and communication that is established as well as cooperation in improving the quality of education (4) Supporting factors are, high cooperation and solidarity, cooperative relationships, communication and coordination that are in harmony, as well as achievements, outputs, good madrasah. The inhibiting factors are the lack of discipline from the madrasah management, supervision from the committee, and the busyness of the profession owned by the committee so that the lack of more intense meetings between the committee and the madrasah. The implications of this study are maximizing the implementation of various madrasah work programs, consistency in various madrasah activities that have been running, building a more programmed and intense association forum, participation of parents of students in various existing fields. ABSTRAKPendidikan bermutu merupakan kunci untuk membangun peserta didik yang kompeten dan beradab dalam arti menghasilkan output yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Pengelolaan pendidikan merupakan tanggung jawab semua pihak yang berada dalam lingkup madrasah salah satunya adalah komite madrasah. Namun pada kenyataannya, hal tersebut tidak sesuai dengan realita yang terjadi pada masa kini, Komite Madrasah hanya sebatas menjadi pelengkap struktur Madrasah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MA Madani Alauddin dengan tujuan penelitiannya sinergitas komite dengan madrasah dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di MA Madani Alauddin. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) komite MA Madani Alauddin dapat dilihat dari keaktifan, eksistensi dan pelaksanaan seluruh perannya; sebagai Pemberi pertimbangan, pendukung, Pengontrol, dan Mediator (2) Mutu Pendidikan yang ada di MA Madani Alauddin Makassar, dapat dilihat berdasarkan standar pendidikan yakni input; standar isi, proces; standar proses dan standar sarana prasarana, output; standar kompetensi lulusan dan outcome, yang berjalan dengan baik (3) sinergitas komite dengan madrasah dalam Meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, terlihat adanya koordinasi dan komunikasih yang terjalin serta Kerjasama dalam meningkatkan mutu Pendidikan (4) Faktor pendukung yaitu, Kerjasama dan solidaritas yang tinggi, Hubungan yang kooperatif, komunikasih dan koordinasi yang selaras, serta prestasi, keluaran, madrasah yang baik. Faktor penghambatnya yaitu kurangnya kedisiplinan dari pihak pengelola madrasah, pengawasan dari komite, dan kesibukan dari profesi yang dimiliki komite sehingga kurangnya pertemuan yang lebih intens antar komite dengan pihak madrasah. Implikasi dalam penelitian ini, memaksimalkan pelaksanaan berbagai program kerja madrasah, konsistensi dalam berbagai kegiatan madrasah yang telah berjalan, membangun forum perkumpulan yang lebih terprogram dan intens, keikut sertaan orang tua peserta didik diberbagai bidang yang ada.

Abstract

The use of software-based information systems at MTs Tahfizhul Qur'an Al Imam Ashim Makassar can be driven by the specific needs and vision of the school. Through technology integration, schools can optimize their educational and administrative processes to improve educational quality and operational efficiency. The aim of this research is to analyze the implementation and benefits obtained through the use of software-based information systems in the management and development of educational institutions. This research uses descriptive research methods. Data was obtained through direct observation of system use, interviews with school staff, and analysis of documents related to the use of information systems at MTs Tahfizhul Qur'an Information Al Imam Ashim Makassar. The research results show that the use of software-based information systems, such as EMIS, SIMPATIKA, RDM, EDM, ERKAM, and VERVAL, provides a number of significant benefits for MTs Tahfizhul Qur'an Al Imam Ashim Makassar. The use of software-based information systems at MTS Tahfizhul Qur'an Al Imam Ashim Makassar makes a positive contribution in increasing the operational efficiency of the institution, improving decision making, and improving the quality of educational services. It is hoped that this research can provide insights and recommendations for other educational institutions that wish to utilize software-based information systems and the integration of different information systems.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of a Website as an Educational Management Information System at Al-Hikmah Amanah Ummah Integrated Islamic School in Maros. This research adopts a qualitative approach with the phenomenological method, which is a research approach that focuses on an in-depth understanding of individuals' subjective experiences related to the observed phenomenon. The data sources consist of primary data from in-depth interviews with the principal and system operators, direct observation of system use, and secondary data in related document analysis. The study results show that the Educational Management Information System at Al-Hikmah has significantly contributed to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of educational management. Analysis of the data obtained from interviews, observations, and document analysis indicates that access to information through the school's website enables stakeholders, such as students' parents, teachers, school staff, and the general public, to obtain accurate and up-to-date information about the school's vision and mission, flagship programs, activity documentation, school-related news, the student enrollment menu, as well as the addresses and contacts of the Integrated Islamic Kindergarten, Integrated Islamic Junior High School, Integrated Islamic Senior High School, and Al-Hikmah Amanah Ummah Tahfidz Boarding School units. This research is expected to contribute to the development of educational management information systems in similar institutions and provide insights into information technology's critical role in improving educational management quality.

Abstract

The implementation of School-Based Strategic Management (SBMS) aims to improve the quality of education through granting greater autonomy to schools. The implementation of SBM involves all stakeholders in the decision-making process, including the principal, teachers, students, parents and the community. This strategy focuses on managing school resources based on local potential and needs and emphasizes the active participation of all stakeholders. The strategic management process of SBM includes the formulation, implementation and evaluation of strategies that are tailored to school conditions. The successful implementation of SBM is strongly influenced by the quality of human resources, the availability of funds, adequate facilities and community support. With a flexible and sustainable approach, SBM can be an effective tool in improving the quality of education and facing challenges in an ever-evolving educational environment. Abstrak Implementasi Manajemen Strategik Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan melalui pemberian otonomi yang lebih besar kepada sekolah. Penerapan MBS melibatkan seluruh pemangku kepentingan dalam proses pengambilan keputusan, termasuk kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, orang tua, dan masyarakat. Strategi ini berfokus pada pengelolaan sumber daya sekolah berdasarkan potensi dan kebutuhan lokal, serta menekankan pada partisipasi aktif seluruh pihak terkait. Proses manajemen strategik MBS meliputi perumusan, implementasi, dan evaluasi strategi yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi sekolah. Keberhasilan implementasi MBS sangat dipengaruhi oleh kualitas sumber daya manusia, ketersediaan dana, fasilitas yang memadai, serta dukungan masyarakat. Dengan pendekatan yang fleksibel dan berkelanjutan, MBS dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan menghadapi tantangan dalam lingkungan pendidikan yang terus berkembang. Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of a quality culture-based approach in addressing the dynamics of change at SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai. This research aims to analyze the strategy, the application of discipline and responsibility values, and the obstacles faced in building a culture of quality in schools. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with the school principal and the head of curriculum, focusing on experiences and perspectives regarding the implementation of a quality culture. The results showed that the school's vision and mission are oriented towards the formation of a generation with character, excellence in achievement and global competitiveness. The implementation of quality culture is carried out through competency-based programs, technological innovation, religious activities, as well as habituation of disciplinary values and responsibilities that are strengthened by a system of sanctions and rewards. Teachers act as role models and mentors, while students are trained to practice these values in their daily activities. This strategy has proven effective in creating a conducive educational environment, improving the quality of learning and building responsible and disciplined student characters. The implementation of a quality culture at SMP Negeri 37 Sinjai supports the creation of quality and sustainable education. There is a need to strengthen teacher training, regular evaluation systems and the use of technology to support learning innovation. A collaborative approach involving all stakeholders is essential to ensure the success of a holistic quality culture.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of technology-based learning management in the digital era, which presents challenges for schools in integrating ICT. The aim of this research is to analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of technology-based learning management at SMAS Islam Terpadu Al-Hikmah Maros Regency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to illustrate the application of technology-based learning management at the school. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving school principals, vice principals, teachers, staff, and students. The data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that planning is conducted by identifying technological needs, planning learning strategies that integrate ICT, and developing ICT infrastructure, including devices and networks. Implementation involves infrastructure, using digital platforms, and providing training teachers to optimize technology in learning, including ICT-based exams. Evaluation is carried out through classroom observations, analysis of student learning outcomes, and evaluation meetings to gather feedback and formulate follow-up actions. In conclusion, this study contributes to the development of ICT-based education management, with the implication that school principals need to support technology development and training for educators, educators must be creative in using ICT, students need to be more independent, and parents are expected to support by providing devices and participating in school activities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of time management and performance of teachers on the formation of students' disciplinary character at MAN 2 Bone. The focus of the study is detailed into four sub-problems, namely: description of teacher time management, teacher performance, and student disciplinary character; the effect of time management on disciplinary character; the effect of teacher performance on disciplinary character; and the simultaneous effect of both. This study uses a quantitative approach with the ex post facto method. The population is 687 students, with a sample of 87 respondents selected through the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique using the Slovin formula. Data collection techniques are carried out through questionnaires and documentation, and are analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results of the descriptive analysis show that teacher time management, teacher performance, and student disciplinary character are in the moderate category. Inferentially, there is a significant effect of teacher time management on disciplinary character (t count = 5.331> t table = 1.987), and a significant effect of teacher performance on disciplinary character (t count = 4.740> t table = 1.987). Simultaneously, both also have a significant effect (F count = 15.881 > F table = 3.10; sig = 0.001 < 0.05). The implications of the study indicate that teachers who are able to manage time well and have optimal performance can be role models in shaping student discipline. Therefore, school support is needed through training, monitoring, and strengthening of a culture of discipline. Further research is suggested to examine other factors that also influence the formation of disciplined character.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) analyze the managerial strategies of madrasah principals in planning teacher competency development, 2) explore the implementation of these strategies, and 3) identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The study was conducted at MAN Kepulauan Selayar, involving madrasah principals, teachers, and related parties. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study results indicate that madrasah principals play a strategic role in developing teacher competency through three main strategies: conducting training and workshops, supervising and monitoring performance, and providing motivation and rewards. Madrasah principals send teachers to attend external training organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and universities. Supervision is carried out periodically to ensure the implementation of training outcomes, while rewards are given to increase teacher motivation. Supporting factors include the commitment of madrasah principals and teachers, partnerships with external institutions, and support from the school community. However, this study also found inhibiting factors, such as budget constraints, time constraints, remote geographic locations, and limited access to technology and training.
