Abstract

A long working hour will negate child’s Physical and Psychological states. For this reason, it is paramount to investigate the surrounding factors which may affect the working hours among child labors. The finding potentially bring information to stakeholders and authorities which later may assist them in taking the best decision to deal with child labors and further reduce the working hours. This study aimed to investigate the effect of the household education, income, parents’ age, and number of dependents on the child’s working hour in Makassar City. The data were collected from 100 respondents using survey and the data were analyzed with multiple regression analysis technique. The results found that the parent’s education and income negatively and significantly predicted working hours among child labors. Thus, this study suggested that the authorities should reduce the poverty so the families do not further employ their children to support their financial needs. The authorities should also empower the community to shift the child’s daily routines from working to schooling.

Abstract

Terumbu karang di Pulau Karampuang merupakan aset yang berperan dalam menopang ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Pengalaman masyarakat setempat mengenai pemanfaatan ekosistem terumbu karang, baik secara sosial maupun ekonomi tidak hanya dapat dinilai secara moneter, tetapi juga dapat dinilai lebih dalam secara kualitatif. Pengkajian dari sisi kualitatif ini, dapat melengkapi penilaian peran penting terumbu karang bagi kehidupan masyarakat sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat dari ekosistem terumbu karang bagi masyarakat Desa Karampuang Mamuju, baik dari segi sosial maupun dari segi ekonomi. Dari sini kemudian akan diketahui bagaimana sikap masyarakat dalam penggunaan ekosistem ini dan dampak kerusakan ekosistem ini bagi masyarakat, lebih jauh penelitian ini akan bermuara pada simpulan saran kebijakan pengelolaan ekosistem terumbu karang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pulau Karampuang, Kabupaten Mamuju. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui survei dan wawancara pada stakeholder yang memiliki hubungan timbal balik dengan terumbu karang di perairan Pulau Karampuang, dengan jumlah informan yaitu sebanyak empat partisipan masing-masing merupakan informan kunci dengan berbagai profesi yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan terumbu karang oleh masyarakat setempat bergantung pada terumbu karang tempat mencari nafkah, aset wisata, penjaga pulau dari terjangan gelombang, bahkan bahan bangunan. Melalui penelitian ini dapat dirumuskan beberapa saran alternatif yang efektif mengatasi permasalahan tentang terumbu karang yang ada di Pulau Karampuang, diantaranya penerapan payung hukum yang jelas, perencanaan pengelolaan sumber daya terumbu karang yang berkelanjutan berpola blue economy, dan diversifikasi pekerjaan pada masyarakat Pulau Karampuang demi meminimalisir jumlah tekanan pada terumbu karang.  Kata kunci : Sosial-ekonomi; Ekonomi Biru; Terumbu Karang

Abstract

Service learning is a method of learning provided to students by combining knowledge obtained formally in the classroom and activities that provide benefits to the community. The purpose of this devotion is to benefit the school through the application of theory that has been obtained by students during the learning process of Computer Technology IV courses by utilizing service learning methods. Lectures are not only sharing knowledge,but also students can directly practice their skills that eventually provide benefits to the school in the form of output, they are the availability of mission-vision billboards with attractive designs and easily accessible to the community, so that schools can get the benefit from the existence of this devotional activity in the form of the availability of mission vision banners with attractive graphic design. The location of the activity is in Pa'Bundunkang State Elementary School and is carried out for 7 days by students by involving lecturers as mentors and teachers as escorts. The method of implementation starts from the stage of preparation, implementation, and strengthening/reflection. The result from this activity is that Pa'Bundukang State Elementary School can renew the appearance of the school's vision-mission as a means to socialize the school's vision-mission to students, school human resources, communities, and stakeholders. In addition, students are able to be more sensitive to social circumstances, and can apply graphic design materials using Canva applications obtained in computer technology iv classes, so that competence of knowledge, skills, and attitudes can be developed.

Abstract

Pekerja anak yang masih dalam usia sekolah hidup dalam kondisi rumah tangga yang miskin, sehingga memaksa mereka untuk mengorbankan waktu sekolahnya untuk bekerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peluang dan kendala dalam memperoleh pendidikan bagi pekerja anak. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah deskriptif dan analisis regresi binary logistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pekerja anak dihadapkan pada dua pilihan dalam alokasi waktu yaitu sekolah dan bekerja. Desakan untuk terjun pada kegiatan ekonomi terjadi karena adanya kemiskinan yang menyelimuti keluarga mereka. Orang tua yang tidak menganggap pendidikan merupakan investasi yang baik bagi anak-anak mereka, membuat opsi untuk bersekolah menjadi pilihan kedua dibanding opsi untuk bekerja. Dibutuhkan kebijakan untuk merubah persepsi orang tua dan anak tentang pentingnya pendidikan. Peningkatan kepercayaan masyarakat miskin tentang pentingnya pendidikan dapat meminimalisir jumlah alokasi waktu anak dari bekerja ke sekolah. Kebijakan tersebut salah satunya dengan meningkatkan dan meratakan kualitas sekolah di berbagai wilayah. Implikasi penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan dalam mengatasi fenomena pekerja anak, baik yang ada di Kota Makassar maupun di Indonesia, serta dengan mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi alokasi waktu anak untuk sekolah, maka alokasi waktu untuk bekerja bisa teralih untuk bersekolah.

Abstract

We try to explore the topic of the problem, namely leadership in supervision in madrasahs through the approach of several aspects and scientific points of view from several experts which are then summarized to find a common thread from each of the aspects found. We found that leadership is a technique or authority that is able to move other people both individually and in groups to carry out activities in achieving organizational goals. In madrasah institutions, educational supervision leadership is needed in order to improve the quality of learning. The duties of education supervisors include helping schools and the government to produce quality graduates, helping teachers develop their profession, helping schools work with parents or the community. Educational supervision leadership acts as a driving force and serves as a central force in improving the quality of learning in madrasah.

Abstract

This article examines the relevance of entrepreneurial education at Islamic State University Alauddin Makassar, which organize to encourage the student's intention of business interests. This article applied a combination method of multiple linear regression analysis and scale ranges based on Likert Scale instruments. The sampling method is cluster sampling, with the population coming from students spread across various faculties at Islamic State University Alauddin Makassar. The study results showed that their entrepreneurial interest intentions were significantly and positively influenced by their knowledge level about entrepreneurship and the learning process that applied entrepreneurial practices. However, the student’s definition of entrepreneurship interest at Islamic State University Alauddin Makassar is still in the moderate category. It is influenced by the not optimal application of the entrepreneurial project-based learning process, which was carried out by all lecturers who gave lectures on entrepreneurship courses that caused the students not to get the entrepreneurship experience in their learning process. On the other hand, the learning process with project-based learning media provides a direct experience to students who can help the graduates' rates. Therefore, higher education should be able to create an ecosystem that can motivate the development of business actors among students.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian membandingkan media ajar prezi vs microsoft power point terhadap hasil belajar. Metode penelitian adalah metode eksperimen dengan mengelompokkan sampel menjadi dua kelompok diikuti treatment pembelajaran dengan aplikasi berbeda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok eksperimen treatment pembelajaran melalui prezi memiliki hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi daripada sampel pembelajaran microsoft power point. Sampel lebih memahami materi jika media ajar menggunakan prezi dibandingkan microsoft power point. Pemilihan media ajar yang tepat dan inovatif mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Pendidik seharusnya tidak hanya meningkatkan pengetahuan pada bidang keahliannya, tetapi juga meningkatkan skill dalam penguasaan teknologi agar mampu menggunakan media ajar yang variatif dan inovatif. The purpose of the study was to compare Prezi vs Microsoft Power Point teaching media on learning outcomes. The research method is an experimental method by grouping samples into two groups followed by learning treatments with different applications. The results showed that the experimental group learning treatment through Prezi had higher learning outcomes than the Microsoft Power Point learning sample. The sample understands the material better if the media uses Prezi than Microsoft Power Point. Selection of appropriate and innovative teaching media can improve student learning outcomes. Educators should not only increase knowledge in their field of expertise, but also improve skills in mastering technology in order to be able to use varied and innovative media.

Abstract

Kewirausahaan merupakan soft skills yang perlu dimiliki oleh mahasiswa untuk menjadi lulusan yang multitalent dan memiliki kemampuan yang meningkatkan daya kerja, dan mampu menangkap peluang di era persaingan kerja yang ketat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linear sederhana dengan instrumen Skala Likert. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa proses belajar-mengajar pada mata kuliah kewirausahaan memberi dampak pada pemahaman mahasiswa tentang kewirausahaan yang baik. Pengetahuan kewirausahaan mahasiswa berpengaruh secara nyata dan positif terhadap minat kewirausahaan mahasiswa. Agar generasi muda saat ini berminat untuk menjadi pengusaha dan tidak bergantung pada permintaan tenaga kerja (demand for labor) yang dibuat oleh perusahaan-perusahaan, maka harus dibekali dengan soft skills manajemen kewirausahaan yang cukup. Entrepreneurship is a soft skills that required for student to become multitalented graduates and have abilities which will increase their employability, and ability to recognize the opportunity in an era intense work competition. This study try to determine the effect of entrepreneurship education on student’s interest in entrepreneurship. The analytical method used is simple linear regression with a Likert Scale instrument. The result show that the teaching-learning process in entrepreneurship education had an impact on students understanding of good entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship education has a significant and positive effect on student entrepreneurship interest. knowledge has a significant. So, to make young people are interested in becoming entrepreneurs and do not depend on the demand for labor was made by companies, they must be given an understanding of entrepreneurial management soft skills.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative descriptive study conducted at the Major of Islamic Education Management at Postgraduate of UIN Alauddin Makassar. Respondents in this study were determined using the saturated sample technique with the consideration that students who were still active in the study program made it possible to obtain data in a short time. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and structured interviews. The data obtained is then processed by organizing data based on student perceptions regarding the online lecture process, lecturer capabilities, and lecture facilities during online learning. Data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study regarding the perceptions of students of the Islamic Education Management Masters Study Program at the Postgraduate Program of UIN Alauddin Makassar show that: (1) students feel that online learning is quite effective and efficient with an average proportion of responses of 70%; (2) lecturers during the Covid-19 pandemic had good capabilities with an average proportion of responses of 83.2%; and (3) the lecture facilities used are adequate with an average response proportion of 77.7% through the use of Zoom and Google Meet. It is hoped that this research will have implications for lecturers and students, especially in the Islamic Education Management Study Program at UIN Alauddin Makassar that online learning is a lecturing activity carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic which can still be carried out by utilizing various facilities and continuing to strive to improve capabilities for learning (for students) and teaching (for lecturers).

Abstract

Creative economy is human creativity in developing its business. The creative economy needs to be developed by traders, entrepreneurs or business people with the understanding and assistance of human resource skills, technology and the quality of the products being marketed. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which Javanese traders understand the creative economy and how they develop their businesses through implemented innovations. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological study. The results of the study found that Javanese traders understand and apply the concept of the creative economy, and are very concerned about product quality. According to them, the level of entrepreneurship education and training does not really affect the success of the business, but it depends on the experience of entrepreneurship. They also use technology for marketing. Innovative human resource and business skills greatly assist them in increasing consumers' purchasing power. Trading businesses must always be innovative because of market competition that must be anticipated.
