Abstract

Regional development is a key strategy for enhancing community welfare. However, the dynamics of growth in each region are shaped by distinct characteristics of rural and urban areas. Rural areas face unique challenges in adapting to changing times, given their economic structures are largely dominated by agriculture and limited infrastructure. In contrast, cities tend to have more diversified economies, supported by industry, services, and better access to education and technology. The socio-economic disparities between rural and urban areas pose a significant challenge in regional development. The quality of life for communities in both regions is often affected by disparities in income, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. Ongoing modernization and urbanization lead to transformations in social and economic structures in cities and rural areas. A comparative socio-economic analysis of rural and urban areas can provide valuable insights into how these differences impact regional development strategies. This study can also inform policies aimed at achieving balanced development between rural and urban areas, thereby promoting more equitable distribution of community welfare

Abstract

Geopolitical strategies are used in foreign policy in a country's efforts to overcome global challenges and maintain its national interests. This study investigates classical geopolitical theories such as Heartland and Rimland, as well as modern strategies such as realism, liberalism, and constructivism. The study focuses on how countries make their geopolitical plans, internal and external factors that influence foreign policy, and the close relationship between geopolitical strategies and state interests in terms of security, economy, politics, and social. The results of the study show that appropriate and flexible geopolitical strategies can strengthen a country's position on the international stage and play an important role in maintaining the stability and prosperity of the country. It is hoped that this study will help us understand the dynamics of geopolitics and a good way to make international policies.

Abstract

dilakukan guru dalam pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran Geografi di SMA Negeri 11 Medan. Melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen pembelajaran dengan narasumber utama Ibu Nurbaiti Panggabean, S.Pd, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa proses evaluasi mencakup tiga aspek utama yaitu penilaian pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah melaksanakan evaluasi secara sistematis dan berkesinambungan, namun masih menghadapi berbagai hambatan, terutama dalam perencanaan instrumen penilaian, pelaksanaan observasi lapangan, dan penilaian autentik. Kendala tersebut dipengaruhi oleh keterbatasan waktu, fasilitas pembelajaran, serta perbedaan kemampuan siswa. Guru menerapkan berbagai strategi untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, antara lain peningkatan kompetensi melalui MGMP, penerapan teknologi seperti Google Form dan Quizizz, penilaian proyek berbasis autentik, serta penggunaan rubrik penilaian yang lebih objektif. Selain itu, guru mulai mengintegrasikan pendekatan HOTS dan TPACK dalam evaluasi, meskipun masih pada tahap awal. Hasil evaluasi juga dimanfaatkan untuk memberikan umpan balik, perbaikan metode pembelajaran, dan penentuan tindak lanjut akademik. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa optimalisasi evaluasi masih membutuhkan dukungan sistemik dari sekolah, seperti penguatan fasilitas digital, pengembangan bank soal HOTS, peningkatan literasi data guru, dan penyediaan waktu khusus untuk refleksi pedagogik. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa evaluasi pembelajaran Geografi akan lebih efektif apabila didukung oleh kompetensi guru, fasilitas memadai, serta sistem kolaboratif yang berkelanjutan..
