Abstract

Geopolitical strategies are used in foreign policy in a country's efforts to overcome global challenges and maintain its national interests. This study investigates classical geopolitical theories such as Heartland and Rimland, as well as modern strategies such as realism, liberalism, and constructivism. The study focuses on how countries make their geopolitical plans, internal and external factors that influence foreign policy, and the close relationship between geopolitical strategies and state interests in terms of security, economy, politics, and social. The results of the study show that appropriate and flexible geopolitical strategies can strengthen a country's position on the international stage and play an important role in maintaining the stability and prosperity of the country. It is hoped that this study will help us understand the dynamics of geopolitics and a good way to make international policies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam melaksanakan evaluasi pembelajaran Geografi di kelas XI SMA Negeri 12 Medan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dan observasi terhadap guru mata pelajaran Geografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses perencanaan dan pelaksanaan evaluasi telah mengacu pada Capaian Pembelajaran (CP), Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP), serta prinsip Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK). Guru memanfaatkan berbagai media digital seperti Google Form, Quizizz, Educaplay, dan Exambro. Namun, pelaksanaan evaluasi masih menghadapi sejumlah kendala, di antaranya kemampuan analisis siswa yang rendah, keterbatasan fasilitas sekolah (laboratorium SIG, peta tematik, jaringan internet), serta belum adanya standar baku dari Kemendikbud terkait komposisi soal berdasarkan level kognitif. Selain itu, penerapan soal berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTs) masih terbatas pada level C3 dan belum optimal mencapai C4–C6. Kendala teknis seperti ketidakmerataan kepemilikan perangkat siswa turut memengaruhi efektivitas evaluasi daring. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan fasilitas, pelatihan guru, serta penguatan kerja sama antara sekolah dan perguruan tinggi diperlukan untuk mendukung evaluasi pembelajaran Geografi yang lebih efektif, terstandar, dan relevan dengan tuntutan pembelajaran abad ke-21.

Abstract

Settlement is a basic human need that is closely related to the feasibility of life and well-being. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of settlement patterns that occur in rural and urban areas, and to investigate the factors that influence these patterns. This study collects, analyzes, and synthesizes related literature. The results show that settlement patterns in urban areas are denser and develop vertically, while settlement patterns in rural areas tend to be spread out and horizontal. Various factors, such as natural conditions (such as climate, topography, water and land availability), socio-economic factors (such as employment, education, and income), and government policies and local cultural developments, influence these differences. These results emphasize that understanding settlement patterns as a whole is essential to building areas that are equitable, sustainable, and responsive to community needs.
