Abstract

The aim of this study are (1) to improve students' ability of critical thinking basic level in historical subject through the implementation of problem based learning using audio visual for students at eleventh class of social SMA 1 ARJASA 2018/2019. (2) to improve the history outcomes through the implementation of problem based d learning using visual audio for students at eleventh class of social SMA 1 ARJASA 2018/2019. This research was classroom action research. Moreover, the subject’s of this research ware the students at eleventh class of social SMA 1 ARJASA which the number of the participants was 35 students. The research design was using Kemmis’s & Taggret’s research model with stages for each cycle. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. This research consisted of three cycles. Besides, the data collection of this research used observasion, interview, test, and documenter. For the analysis data, this research usedquantitative and qualitative technique. The research result showed that there was any improvement of students’ ability of critical thinking and history outcomes subject. The percentage of students’ critical thinking of the first cycle, it showed as many as 52. 40% clasically. Then, for the next cycle, it improved as many as 66. 23%, and for the last cycle, the percentage was 77. 67%. And for the percentage of students’ outcomes of historical subject was as many as 78. 34%. Then, for the second cycle as 80. 4%, and for the last cycle, the percentage was 81. 71%. It can be concluded that the utilization of problem based learning through visual audio improve’s students’ ability of critical thinking and their output of historical subject.

Abstract

Abstract Historical learning develops historical thinking skills which form the basis for students to develop high-level thinking skills. Based on observations of historical learning in class XI IPS 2 Jenggawah Public High School has the ability related to the low level of high-thinking skills, things discussed: (1) the material presented by educators only focuses on the facts of the study in accordance with the findings and figures from history; (2) 80% of students are only able to answer questions in the cognitive domains C1 and C2; (3) learning methods used in the classroom still use conventional learning methods. Based on these considerations, brain-based learning strategies are used to improve high-level thinking skills and student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to improve the high-level thinking skills of students in class XI IPS 2 through the application of brain-based learning strategies in learning history in the State High School of Senior High School. The design of the study using the Kemmis and Taggart models, the method of data collection uses the observation, interview, documentation and test models. The results showed the percentage of high-level thinking skills of students, as follows: (1) in the first cycle of analysis indicators of 58.59%, in the second cycle was 73.44%, and in the third cycle 81.30%; (2) on the second cycle indicators obtained at 52.34%, in the second cycle obtained at 68.75%, and in the third cycle 79.70%; (3) on the indicator of creating cycle 1 obtained at 48.44%, in cycle 2 it was 64.06%, and in cycle 3 it was 76.60%. While the learning outcomes of students in cycle 1 obtained an average of 70.5. In cycle 2 it is 77.03 and in cycle 3 is 78.93. Abstract

Jember Sari wedding dress is a original wedding dress of Jember regency. Jember Sari wedding dress consists of kebaya, beskap and jarit. The purpose of examining Jember Sari wedding dress is in order to mantain a regional wedding dress and preserve the existing culture. The result of the study is the apperarance motive of Jember Sari weding dress as follows; (1) Socio-cultural factors, due to the fusion process of Javanese and Madura culture. The Javanese and Madurese etnics coexisted in Jember, thereby the new culture is called “Pandhalungan” culture. One of the Pandalungan culture is the wedding dress of Jember Sari. (2) In 2003, HARPI "Melati" appealed to every region in order to obtain the regional wedding dress. After that, based on the idea of the HARPI "Melati" chairman Jember, then HARPI performed out the excamination and research towards Jember Sari wedding dress in 2005. Abstract

The low ability of critical thinking and learning outcomes of students were the problems of XI IPS 2 class SMAN Ambulu. It affected the learning process in which students’s ability in identifying questions, arguing, asking and answering questions were still defficient at comprehending level. While the teacher still engaged lecture method that was monotonous and did not use learning media. The purpose of this study was to examine the application of probing prompting method with pictures media to improve the ability of critical thinking and learning outcomes of students on the history subject class XI IPS2 SMAN Ambulu. This research was a Classroom Action Research that was conducted in three cycles consisting of planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The results of this research were: (1) the critical thinking ability of students increased in the pre cycle obtained score of 49.14% increased in cycle 1 55.40% meant the critical thinking ability was still low. increasing in 2nd cycle 64.18% meant quite critical. Increasing in 3th cycle with score of 72.09% meant quite critical. (2) Pre-cycle learning results were obtained an average of 67.62 increased in 1st cycle with an average of 74.81 and an increased in 2nd cycle with an average of 77.40 increased in the average 3th cycle of 84.97.

Abstract

This research aimed at analyzed the technological pedagogical knowledge of the history teachers in Jember Regency. Theory of technological pedagogical knowledge used was the theory by Koehler and Mishra (2006). The components of technological pedagogical knowledge were the knowledge of ICT tools, learning strategies supported by ICT, the use of ICT in scientific research, information skills, facilitators of students, and technical difficulties of students. This research was a descriptive research. The samples used involve 31 history teachers. The data analysis used was descriptive statistical data analysis by using SPSS 21 program for Windows. The results of the descriptive statistical data revealed that the pedagogical content knowledge of the history teachers of Jember Regency as much as 83,9% were at good level. Furthermore, as much as 16.1% were at fair level. Whereas, 0% was at not good, less good levels and very good level. Overall, from the results of descriptive statistical analysis, it obtained the mean value of 3,4686. Based on the results of the research, the technological pedagogical knowledge of the history teachers of Jember Regency were at good level. Teachers are expected to master all four basic competencies of the professional teacher, especially on the competencies of pedagogical and professional. Teachers are also required to be able to integrate pedagogical skills with mastery of information and communication technology, so that learning to students becomes more effective.

Abstract

Developing of teaching materials that innovative, interesting, effective and it’s developed by advances technology into an obligation in order to be able to facilitate a good teaching. Therefore the educaters have the obligation to develop the teaching materials by herself or his self and must give a good teaching and effectively. The purpose of this research is to produce the product as LKPD effectively for Indonesian History subject to the elevent grade by using ASSURE model that is validated. This research subject is 32 social students of elevent grade in SMAN 5 Jember. This research is done in January 2018. It result shows that the product of validation teaching materials can measure the effectiveness level. In classic the validation result of the subject contain is amount 80 percents, the desaint validation is amount 88,4 percents, the media validation is amount 86 percents and the language validation is amount 94 percents. The effectiveness level of trial result in small group is amount 71,12 percents, while in large group is amount 86,75 percents. The conclution of this research is developing product in digital student worksheet use ASSURE model that validates by the experts and it can develop the Indonesian history teaching effectiveness. Abstract

Historical Learning using E-Module of Independence War History in Jember based Inquiry. This module is designed specifically to be used in Historical learning process. Historical Learning taught by educators to the learners is still within the national scope. The purpose of this research is: to produce a product in the form of electronic module based on Inquiry about the history of Independence War in Jember for senior high school grade XI of social class which is validated and proper to be used in Historical Learning, improving the effectiveness of learners' self-learning on Historical learning. This study used ADDIE model which consists of 5 steps, namely: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Develop, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. The resulting product, then validated by subject matter expert, linguist and design expert in a row showed: (1) the value of 96% belongs to "very good" category; (2) 94% of "very good" and (3) 98% of "very good" category. User test results get 98% of "very good" category. The results of small group trials and field trials showed: (1) 55.5% was categorized as "moderate" effectiveness; (2) 78.28% was categorized as "high" effectiveness. It can be concluded that E-Modules Development of Independence War History in Jember based Inquiry in the Historical Learning was effective for senior high school grade XI of social class. Abstract

The Lazarus Batik Industry House is a hereditary business and is a Madurese batik business whose motives are always changing. The problems in this research are: (1) What is the background for the establishment of the Lazarus batik industrial house ?; (2) What are the dynamics (capital, labor, production, marketing) of the Lazarus batik industrial house in 2012-2018 ?. The method used in this research is the historical method with stages; heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of this study include the background of the Lazarus batik production house, including: (1) Economic aspects; (2) The desire to preserve Indonesian cultural batik; (3) There is a hobby of interest and interest in batik; (4) Creating employment opportunities for the surrounding community; (5) Meet market needs. The process of Lazarus' business activities can be seen from several aspects through the initial capital used, the batik production section, raw materials and marketing activities. Marketing in early 2012 was still very little, because there were still many mistakes in production so that the cloth was still not suitable for sale, and the public's low interest in batik. From 2013 to 2018, the development of batik sales has increased. Since 2013 Lazarus has received orders from outside the region, the Lazarus batik market has slowly begun to expand. Abstract

Abstract Megalithic culture in Jember Regency has existed for thousands of years which has been proven by ancient objects on Mount Watangan and the discovery of other archaeological objects at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District with different naming and the only finding of the Kangkang stone in Jember Regency. . The problems studied in this research are; How many archaeological remains of megalithic culture at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District, Jember Regency? How is it spread? What are the types and functions of the archaeological remains of the megalithic culture? What is the conception of belief that underlies the creation of archaeological remains of megalithic culture at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District, Jember Regency? What is the picture of the social and economic life of the community making archaeological remains of megalithic culture at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District, Jember Regency?. The research methods used are: heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. As for the results of this study, the total number of archaeological remains of megalithic culture that was successfully inventoried by researchers at the Sumberpakem Site, Mayang District, Jember Regency, was 7 pieces of which the type of megalith was 2 stone mortars, 1 pictorial monolith, 1 dolmen grave, 3 stone mortars, the conception of belief held by the supporting community is the religious conception of Ancestor Worship that ancestral spirits always protect living relatives. the supporting community has recognized the pattern of permanent housing as a place to live. The existence of graves shows social stratification and differentiation. The affluent economic situation is evidenced by the ability to bury its citizens using dolmen graves and they have an egalitarian pattern. The agricultural subsistence pattern is characterized by the presence of stone mortars, stone mortars and scratched stone monoliths Key words: megalitic, culture, site
