Abstract

Non-Performing Financing (NPF) is one of the indicators in evaluating bank performance. Financing products with murabaha contracts are one of the products that dominate the Islamic banking industry where the percentage of its NPF will also affect profits. This study examines the strategy implemented by one of the Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Area Office in Aceh Province towards Murabaha NPF from two perspectives, risk management and Fatwa DSN-MUI using a descriptive approach. The results conclude that in handling NPF, banks begin with negotiation/mediation approach, then gradually rescheduling, restructuring, reconditioning, execution of collateral/auctions and litigation. Those steps are in accordance with risk management concept in terms of preventing NPF and consistent with Fatwa DSN-MUI in terms of NPF settlement. However, among the obstacles are bad character debtors so that the settlement process will take a long period of time and keep being suspended. This is certainly a significant viewpoint for banks that educating and socializing the management of financing must be explained from the beginning and ensure that debtors understand all related applicable bank regulations. Abstract

Investing is one of the most prominent activities in Islam. But before investing, every potential investor should have a sufficient understanding of the world of investment. This research was carried out to know the level of understanding of students of Shariah Online Trading System (SOTS) as well as to learn the steps taken by the Shariah Investment Gallery in giving the right understanding to investors. The method used is the mixed method (Quantitative - Qualitative). The results of research using quantitative methods showed that the level of understanding of investment students investors related to the mechanism of stock trading using SOTS belonged to the low category of 54.5%. Further reinforced by the results of the qualitative data analysis that also obtained that investor understanding is categorized in the level of translated understanding which is the lowest level of understanding. The steps taken by all managers of the Sharia Investment Gallery in providing the right understanding to investors is through activities such as socialization, education, as well as discussion.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya dalam pengentasan kemiskinan adalah dengan adanya pemberdayaan wakaf produktif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi dan pelaksanaan wakaf produktif pada masjid-masjid di Kota Sigli. Jenis penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dan objek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 3 masjid yaitu, masjid Al-Falah Sigli, masjid Istiqamah Lampoh Krueng, dan masjid Istiqamah Blang Paseh. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa potensi harta wakaf produktif masjid-masjid Kota Sigli yaitu rumah, tanah pertanian, dan lancang garam. Hasil dari pengelolaan wakaf produktif diperuntukkan untuk masjid. Pelaksanaan wakaf produktif di masjid-masjid Kota Sigli masih sangat sederhana dan tradisional.

Abstract

Rice Farming Business Insurance (AUTP) is social insurance implemented by the government to provide benefits to its people, where this insurance can help rice farmers who experience losses due to attacks by plant organisms, outbreaks of infectious diseases, and other disturbances that cause crop failure for farmers. In general, the concept of Sharia AUTP can be carried out following the existing AUTP, but it needs to be adjusted to the basic principles of Sharia insurance. This study aims to identify and analyze the Strengths and Opportunities as well as the Weaknesses and Threats of the development of Rice Farming Business Insurance in Aceh Besar. The method used is descriptive qualitative analysis, with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the development of sharia insurance for rice farming is in quadrant III which illustrates that sharia insurance for rice farming has a huge opportunity to develop in Aceh Besar, but on the other hand, it also experiences some internal weaknesses. The strategy that can be utilized in the development of sharia insurance for rice farming is the WO strategy, namely 1) Increasing the socialization of sharia insurance for rice farming to the public to increase farmers' interest in insurance, 2) The government needs to make special regulations governing sharia insurance for rice farming. Abstract

This study examines the level of understanding among Generation Z in Banda Aceh regarding Qur’anic verses and hadiths related to zakat mal, utilizing a quantitative approach based on seven cognitive indicators: interpreting, explaining, exemplifying, classifying, summarizing, comparing, and inferring. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to 105 respondents. The results indicate a moderate level of comprehension, with the following scores: explaining (69.20%), classifying (68.95%), inferring (68.69%), exemplifying (68.25%), comparing (68.06%), summarizing (67.04%), and interpreting (66.98%). Explaining emerged as the strongest indicator, while interpreting was the weakest. Although the respondents demonstrated a fair understanding of Zakat al-Mal, further educational efforts are needed to deepen both their conceptual and contextual understanding of this Islamic obligation. This study provides empirical insights for educational institutions and religious authorities to enhance Zakat al-Mal literacy among Generation Z and serves as a foundation for future research on the socio-economic application of Zakat.

Abstract

The development of marketing communication has become easier thanks to content marketing and brand awareness strategies, which are widely used by companies. This study aims to analyze the effect of content marketing and brand awareness on customer loyalty of Kopi Memangan in Banda Aceh City from an Islamic economic perspective. The population in this study included all consumers of Kopi Memangan in Banda Aceh City. This research uses quantitative approach. The sample used amounted to 100 respondents with accidental sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression and hypothesis testing. The results showed that: (1) content marketing and brand awareness simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on customer commitment of memorable coffee in Banda Aceh City; (2) content marketing partially has a positive and significant effect on customer commitment of memorable coffee in Banda Aceh City; and (3) brand awareness also partially has a positive and significant effect on customer commitment of memorable coffee in Banda Aceh City.

Abstract

Indonesia has significant challenges in funding its energy transition, which requires around US$30 billion over the next eight years. One of the main obstacles is the low government budget and human resource competency in realizing renewable energy to achieve affordability amid rising global energy prices. Islamic financing, particularly cash waqf from Sharia-based institutions, is thought to provide a potential solution. Cash waqf, in line with Islamic principles, generates up to IDR 180 trillion per year and supports the equitable use of renewable energy, especially in transportation. This study utilizes a qualitative descriptive method, through triangulation and comparative techniques. The findings highlight the important role of cash waqf in reducing costs and increasing accessibility to renewable energy for the community. Mechanisms that include cash waqf-based subsidies and innovative financing schemes can be tailored to the transportation sector. By integrating these approaches, Indonesia can reduce reliance on conventional subsidies while promoting inclusive participation in the energy transition. This research underscores cash waqf as a transformative tool, offering a scalable and Sharia-compliant strategy to advance sustainability and equity for policymakers to leverage Islamic finance in achieving a just energy transition, and engaging the role of human capital in managing its sustainability.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the challenges of knowledge management in the context of the transformation of conventional banking to Islamic banking in Aceh Province, in line with the implementation of the Qanun Lembaga Keuangan Syariah (Qanun LKS) or Islamic Financial Institutions Regulation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of organizational culture, technology, motivation, and knowledge assets on the knowledge management of state-owned and regionally-owned bank employees in Banda Aceh, as well as to examine the role of religiosity as a moderating variable. The research data came from primary sources obtained from questionnaires distributed to 163 employees of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), Bank Tabungan Negara Syariah (BTNS), and Bank Aceh Syariah (BAS). The results showed that technology and motivation had a significant positive effect, while organizational culture, knowledge assets, and religiosity had no effect, and religiosity did not moderate the relationship between variables. These findings indicate that improving the quality of knowledge management can be achieved through investment in information technology systems, optimization of knowledge sharing processes, and strengthening employee motivation, while ensuring that its implementation is in line with Islamic values and work ethics. This study suggests that Islamic banks in Aceh should strengthen internal training, develop knowledge documentation systems, and create a work environment that supports knowledge sharing.

Abstract

Abstrak Masjid di Aceh umumnya masih difungsikan sebagai pusat ibadah dan kegiatan keagamaan, sementara perannya dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi jamaah belum optimal. Padahal, masjid memiliki potensi besar sebagai pusat pengembangan ekonomi umat melalui penguatan kelembagaan dan unit usaha berbasis komunitas. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendampingi pengurus Masjid Baitul Jannah Tungkop, Kabupaten Aceh Besar dalam proses pembentukan koperasi masjid; (2) memetakan potensi ekonomi jamaah dan aset masjid yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai unit usaha; serta (3) meningkatkan pemahaman dan kapasitas pengurus serta jamaah dalam pengelolaan kelembagaan ekonomi berbasis masjid. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, perencanaan program, pelaksanaan pendampingan, serta evaluasi bersama pemangku kepentingan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi penyuluhan perkoperasian, diskusi partisipatif, pemetaan potensi ekonomi masjid, serta perumusan rencana unit usaha koperasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pengurus dan jamaah tentang koperasi masjid, kesepakatan pembentukan koperasi konsumen, serta perencanaan unit usaha awal berupa toko sembako dan barbershop berbasis jamaah. Pendampingan ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal penguatan peran masjid sebagai pusat pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: pendampingan; koperasi; pemberdayaan; ekonomi; jamaah. Abstract Mosques in Aceh generally still function as centers of worship and religious activities, while their role in the economic empowerment of worshippers is not optimal. In fact, mosques have great potential as a center for the economic development of the people through institutional strengthening and community-based business units. This community service activity aims to (1) assisting the management of the Baitul Jannah Tungkop Mosque, Aceh Besar Regency in the process of forming a mosque cooperative; (2) mapping the economic potential of worshippers and mosque assets that can be developed as business units; and (3) increasing the understanding and capacity of administrators and worshippers in the management of mosque-based economic institutions. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) through the stages of problem identification, program planning, implementation of mentoring, and evaluation with stakeholders. The activities carried out include cooperative counseling, participatory discussions, mapping the economic potential of mosques, and formulation of cooperative business unit plans. The results of the activity showed an increase in the understanding of the management and worshippers about mosque cooperatives, agreements on the formation of consumer cooperatives, and the planning of initial business units in the form of worship-based grocery stores and barbershops. This assistance is expected to be the first step in strengthening the role of mosques as a center for sustainable community economic empowerment. Keywords: mentoring; cooperatives; empowerment; economy; congregation.
