Abstract

Candi Tebing Tegallinggah is a tourist attraction located in Bedulu Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency. Since it opened as a tourist attraction at the end of 2019, the level of tourist visits to Candi Tebing Tegallinggah is still relatively low, this is because access to information regarding the existence of Tebing Tegallinggah  especially through online media is still very minimal. Story posts and reviews on social media regarding the existence of the Candi Tebing Tegallinggah are still very minimal, until March 2023 there were only 11 story posts and 26 reviews. Therefore, this research is very important to carry out to create a digital tourism website application in the development of the Candi Tebing Tegallinggah. Data collection in this research was carried out using in-depth interviews, observation, and document study methods. The data was analyzed descriptively and qualitatively using the digital tourism concept approach, the concept of potential tourist attractions, the concept of destination development, and the social action theory approach. The results of this research show that the potential tourist attraction of Tebing Tegallinggah is in the form of natural potential, cultural potential, and artificial potential. The digital tourism application for the Candi Tebing Tegallinggah tourist attraction takes the form of a website (https://canditebingtegallingah.id) which contains information regarding the location, history, and general description of the Candi Tebing Tegallinggah which contains virtual tour content. The development of Candi Tebing Tegallinggah as a tourist attraction has had a positive impact on the economy, socio-culture, and the surrounding environment. The application of digital tourism applications in developing the Candi Tebing Tegallinggah is expected to increase the number of tourist visits.

Abstract

This study was motivated by concerns about the erosion of traditional Balinese cuisine amid the dominance of modern and fast food, especially among the younger generation. The main issue raised in this study is how Balinese Bétutu culinary arts can be developed as educational tourism potential at SMK PGRI 1 Badung. The research questions include the form of learning, learning experiences that can be explored, a SWOT analysis of the potential, and preservation strategies. The objectives of this study are to identify the form of Balinese Bétutu culinary learning as a potential educational tourism attraction at SMK PGRI 1 Badung. To identify learning experiences that can be explored in Balinese Bétutu culinary learning as educational tourism potential at SMK PGRI 1 Badung, to analyse Balinese Bétutu culinary learning as educational tourism potential at SMK PGRI 1 Badung, and to determine preservation strategies for Balinese Bétutu culinary learning as educational tourism potential at SMK PGRI 1 Badung. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience theory and Cooper et al.'s tourism potential theory. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through reduction, presentation, and verification stages. The researcher selected the location at SMK PGRI 1 Badung purposively because it was relevant to the topic and had culinary practice facilities that supported the research. The results of the study indicate that Bétutu culinary education at SMK PGRI 1 Badung not only provides students with technical cooking skills but also strengthens their understanding of local cultural values. Practical learning activities combined with an educational tourism approach create a holistic learning experience. A SWOT analysis identified strengths in the teaching methods and industry collaboration, as well as weaknesses in the form of limited raw materials and facilities. The proposed preservation strategies include strengthening teacher training, innovating the curriculum based on local wisdom, and developing a culinary tourism promotion network. This study is expected to serve as a foundation for developing a traditional culinary education model based on educational tourism that supports cultural preservation and vocational skill enhancement.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Hindu philosophy Tri Hita Karana (three sources of happiness) in the development of Bukit Cemeng Ecotourism in Bangli Regency so that it can be a reference in the development of sustainable tourist attractions based on local wisdom in Bali. This study uses a qualitative method where data is collected through observation-participation techniques, in-depth interviews, and qualitative-interpretive analysis. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Tri Hita Karana concept in the development of Bukit Cemeng Ecotourism towards sustainable tourism can be seen from three aspects, namely the Parhyangan which concerns the relationship between humans and God, the Pawongan concerning human relationships with others, and the Palemahan, namely the human relationship with nature or environment. The contribution of this article emphasizes the importance of implementing local wisdom values ??in ecotourism development so that it can be sustainable in the future.

Abstract

Community-Based Tourism (CBT) management at the Alas Pala Sangeh tourist attraction aims to encourage environmental conservation and local economic empowerment through active community participation. However, this participation is not evenly distributed. Management faces obstacles such as limited managerial capacity, lack of digital promotion, and dependence on tourist visits, which risks reducing service quality, creating economic inequality, and threatening environmental sustainability. This study answers three main questions: (1) How is community participation in CBT management at Alas Pala Sangeh?, (2) What are the obstacles faced?, and (3) What is the impact of implementing CBT at this location? This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a theoretical foundation of Community-Based Tourism, POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) management, and the Triple Bottom Line (People, Planet, Profit) approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, literature study, structured and in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that community participation is systematically integrated through the POAC approach, in which the Sangeh Traditional Village and the local community are actively involved in all stages of tourism management. Key constraints include limited inclusive participation, unequal institutional capacity, unequal distribution of economic benefits, and environmental challenges resulting from tourist behavior. The implementation of CBT has had positive impacts based on the Triple Bottom Line framework: increased income and growth of MSMEs (profit), cultural preservation and strengthening of local identity (people), and environmental conservation through the protection of nutmeg forests and wildlife habitats (planet). Therefore, CBT management in Alas Pala Sangeh has strong potential to realize sustainable and inclusive tourism and support the long-term economic well-being of the community. However, to achieve the maximum potential in community-based tourism management, improvements are needed in several aspects, particularly related to increasing managerial capacity and digital promotion.
