Abstract

This study analysis the problems of the implementation of the inquiry learning model in Arabic language learning in Indonesia (Madrasah Tsanawiyah) and Malaysia (Sekolah Agama Bantuan Kerajaan) through a comparative literature study based on content analysis. Data were obtained from scientific journals related to the inquiry learning model in Arabic language learning and journals, books, and policies published 2010-2024. The results showed multidimensional problems in both countries: (1) Teachers: low mastery of inquiry methodology and Arabic; (2) Students: low basic language skills and passive learning habits; (3) Linguistics: the complexity of Arabic grammar and the interference of the mother tongue; (4) Resources: limited time allocation and inadequate facilities. Integrative solutions include: intensive and practical teacher capacity building through Indonesia-Malaysia hybrid teacher training, adjustment of learning models and approaches using guided inquiry, use of technology and development of learning resources, preparation of students and creation of learning climate, adjustment of evaluation systems and supporting policies. It can be concluded that the success of the inquiry requires a holistic approach based on the local reality of each country.

Abstract

Simbang Wetan Village faces a dual challenge: the accumulation of unmanaged flannel waste from the local convection industry and the need to enhance household-level food security. This community service activity aimed to transfer appropriate technology in the form of an innovative aquaponics wick system that utilizes flannel waste as a key functional component. The method employed a participatory learning approach, combining presentations, hands-on practice, and discussions. This activity was conducted on September 8, 2025, at the Simbang Wetan Village Hall, involving 24 residents. The program's success was measured quantitatively using pre-test and post-test instruments. Data analysis revealed a highly significant improvement in understanding and skills. Specific knowledge regarding the function of flannel fabric as an aquaponics wick surged dramatically from 8.3% in the pre-test to 100% in the post-test. Similarly, practical understanding of assembling the system from recycled materials increased from 4.1% to 87.5%. These results indicate that the workshop was highly effective in transferring knowledge and shifting the community's paradigm towards waste management. The broader adoption of this technology at the household level, along with continuous mentoring, is recommended to ensure program sustainability.

Abstract

The aims of this study is to describe the Implementation of the Arabic Learning with role-play based Demonstration Method at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Pemalang Class IX and describe the obstacles and solutions in the Implementation of Arabic Language Learning Using the Demonstration Method in Madrasah Class IX Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Pemalang. This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of field research. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis carried out is data reduction, data analysis, and conclusions drawn. The results of the study show that the application of the role-play based demonstration method in Arabic learning in grade IX Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Pemalang can make students more confident in speaking Arabic in class, students are able to pronounce and memorize Arabic vocabulary and data play an active role in learning.
