Digital comic media was developed in response to the low level of independence among early childhood children, particularly regarding personal hygiene after using the toilet and tidying up toys. This situation highlighted the need for engaging learning media suited to the characteristics of young children to help stimulate their independence. This study aimed to develop digital comic media suitable for fostering independence in children aged 4–5 years at TK-PG LAB FKIP UNRI. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg and Gall development model, adapted to the specific needs of the research. The development stages included identifying potential and problems, gathering information, product design, design validation, design revision, and product testing. The digital comic media features stories and illustrations related to cleaning oneself after using the toilet and tidying up toys, allowing children to learn through the behavioral examples presented in the stories. Research instruments included expert validation sheets and media suitability assessment sheets. The results indicate that the digital comic media is considered highly suitable based on validation by subject matter experts (97.72%), media experts (90.38%), and educators (94%), as well as a limited trial (88%), placing it in the "highly suitable" category. Based on these findings, the digital comic media is deemed suitable for use as a learning tool to stimulate and enhance the independence of children aged 4–5 years.
