Abstract

Education financing is a crucial aspect in ensuring the quality and sustainability of education delivery, particularly within the framework of School-Based Management (SBM), which grants schools autonomy in managing their resources. This study aims to analyze the concept, implementation, and role of school-based education financing management in improving the quality of education. The method used is a literature review library research with a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data sources such as scientific journals, books, and relevant regulations. The findings indicate that financial management conducted through the stages of planning, implementation, monitoring, and accountability carried out effectively, efficiently, transparently, and accountably can improve the quality of education, whether through the provision of facilities and infrastructure, the enhancement of teacher competencies, or the creation of a conducive learning environment. Thus, school-based education funding management plays a strategic role in improving the quality of education and producing high-quality graduates who are ready to face the demands of higher education and the workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the human potentials that need to be developed through education based on the interpretation of Qur'an Surah Al-Baqarah verses 30–39. These verses explain the creation of human beings as vicegerents (khalifah) on earth who are endowed with various advantages, such as intellectual ability, knowledge acquisition, moral awareness, and responsibility toward life. This research employs a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach through the analysis of Qur'anic verses, classical and contemporary tafsir literature, books, and relevant scholarly journals. The findings reveal that human beings possess intellectual, spiritual, moral, and social potentials that serve as the primary foundation for carrying out their role as Allah’s vicegerents on earth. These potentials should be nurtured and developed through education that emphasizes knowledge acquisition, character building, and faith development. Islamic education plays a crucial role in optimizing human nature (fitrah) so that individuals can become morally upright, responsible, and capable of making positive contributions to society. Therefore, the development of human potential through education is an essential effort to fulfill the purpose of human creation as both servants of Allah and His vicegerents on earth.

Abstract

Islamic education is a comprehensive process of human development aimed at shaping individuals who are faithful, pious, knowledgeable, and possess noble character. Education in Islam does not merely focus on intellectual aspects, but also includes spiritual, moral, and physical development. The purpose of Islamic education is directed toward achieving happiness in both this world and the hereafter, as well as forming the perfect human being (insan kamil). The Qur’an, as the primary source of Islamic teachings, provides guidance concerning the goals, methods, and values of education. Surah Ali Imran verses 138–139 affirm that the Qur’an is a guidance for mankind and that Islamic education should be able to develop individuals who are strong, optimistic, and steadfast in their faith.
