Abstract

Wayang Kulit is a Javanese cultural heritage used to convey entertaining and innovative messages. The legal fatwa on wayang kulit is questioned by several Muslim communities in Indonesia when it is used as a medium for preaching. This research aims to understand the perspective of 'ulum syar'iyah in addressing permissible matters and when a permissible culture will change its legal ruling to become forbidden. This literature review is of a qualitative descriptive nature, narrating cultures that originally are permissible, but the permissibility will change to prohibition due to several influencing factors. The primary data for this research are Arabic-language literature and scientific journal articles on the themes of da'wah and culture, supported by secondary data based on reliable official websites. The researcher believes that Wayang Kulit is categorized as a culture with a legal basis of permissibility according to fiqh principles, the tradition of weak hadiths as a basis for practice, and the narration of Israiliyyat legends in Muslim communities as folklore. Additionally, Wayang Kulit does not directly correlate with Islamic worship or creed. Therefore, a legal ruling that is originally permissible can change due to the communicator (puppeteer) conveying messages that fail to eliminate elements prohibited by Islam.

Abstract

This study examines the contribution of Zainudin MZ's da'wah in shaping the political awareness of the Indonesian people. Zainudin MZ, known as a 'da'I for a million people', is popular because of his strong and communicative rhetoric and his courage in bringing socio-political messages in his da'wah. This approach makes da'wah a means of social transformation that can foster political awareness of the people, especially in the context of the transition of the Indonesian government from the New Order era to the reformation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study method and analysis of Zainudin MZ's da'wah discourse in the form of lectures, books, and mass media documentation. The study results show that Zainudin MZ has contributed to integrating da'wah with social, political, and power issues. Consistently, he voices the values of justice, honesty, and concern for the ordinary people from the perspective of the da'wah language, which is easily understood by the wider community. His involvement in practical politics during the Reformation also shows a form of courage to make da'wah an instrument of structural change. Ultimately, he chose to return to the path of cultural da'wah because of his disappointment with less-than-ideal political practices. This finding strengthens the importance of the role of da'wah as a medium to shape the political awareness of society within the framework of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The discussion of Semitic languages ??can be categorized into two parts, the first is a general discussion in history, development and its scope. The second is a special discussion, about sounds, sounds, rules and vocabulary of Semitic languages ??which include the nature of Semitic languages ??in the washfiyah. In this paper, the author examines the first part of the discussion about the history of Semitic languages, historical study, as well as the process of the spread of the language, the clashes and its influence on the beginning of the development of other languages. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study approach from books, journals, and various relevant research results. The conclusion of the study is that the original Semitic language is the parent of several languages ??in the world. Among these languages, some are still alive today such as Arabic and Hebrew, some are dead or no longer have speakers, but traces can still be seen in the inscriptions they wrote such as Sumerian, Akkadian, Assyrian, Canaanite (Kan'aniyyah), Aramaic (Aramia), and Phinesia. There is also an opinion that can be relied upon, namely the opinion of most orientalists such as Sprenger (1813-1893), Goideh, Keitani, Moscati, Finkir, Eberhard Schrader (1836-1908) etc., they considered that the plains of the Arabian peninsula were the origin of their region. Semitic languages ??have had a lot of influence on languages ??other than Semitic languages. Like the Sumerians, the native people of Babylonia had made Semitic their language, although Sumerian also had a lot of influence on Semitic languages. There are many similarities within the Semitic language family which are the result of the influence caused by the process of assimilation and clash of cultures and languages
