Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to enhance the readiness of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions to undergo the accreditation process through structured assistance. Based on the initial mapping of 76 PAUD institutions in Sikur District, East Lombok, it was found that most institutions lacked a comprehensive understanding of the accreditation instruments and had yet to complete the required institutional documents by the National Standards for PAUD. This activity involved eight partner institutions and was carried out through three main stages: training on accreditation standards, assistance in preparing institutional documents, and simulation of filling out the digital instrument (Sispena 3.1). The method employed was participatory and field-based, with a hands-on approach and intensive mentoring. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in institutional managerial capacity, digital skills of administrators, and the establishment of collaborative networks among PAUD institutions at the sub-district level. This mentoring program not only resulted in accreditation documents that meet the standards but also encouraged quality-based institutional transformation and fostered a reflective culture in educational governance. The implications of this activity indicate that a contextual and collaborative approach is effective in bridging the quality gap of PAUD institutions in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the semantic relationships of hyponymy and synonymy in the Sasak language, specifically the nggeto-nggete dialect. The data sample was collected from Wanasaba Village, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. This location was chosen for several reasons: it is one of the oldest villages on Lombok Island, it has a relatively large population, and the dialect variety is well understood by the researcher, who was born and raised there. These factors help minimize errors in understanding, analyzing, and describing the data. The data were collected through direct observation and personal experience. The analysis is based on a theoretical framework of hyponymy and synonymy drawn from selected linguistic experts. The findings indicate that the Sasak language in the nggeto-nggete dialect includes lexical items that demonstrate hyponymic and synonymic relationships. Hyponymic relations in the Sasak language involve not only classifiers and their subordinates but also relationships among the hyponyms themselves. Synonymic relations are found in nouns, verbs, and adjectives, where each class shares general semantic features while maintaining specific semantic distinctions that influence their contextual usage in sentences.

Abstract

Code-mixing is a common linguistic phenomenon in buying and selling interactions, including those in Anyar Market, Bayan Subdistrict. This study aims to identify the forms of code-mixing and the factors influencing its occurrence in conversations between sellers and buyers in the market. The data collection techniques used were observation, the listening method, note-taking, and documentation. Data analysis employed the Miles and Huberman qualitative model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that code-mixing is commonly used, especially by sellers as a communication strategy. The most dominant type is inner code-mixing, which involves the combination of Indonesian and the Sasak language. In addition, outer code-mixing was also found, involving a mix of Sasak with English and Arabic, although in smaller numbers. The forms of code-mixing identified include words, phrases, word repetitions, and clauses. The factors influencing the use of code-mixing include: (1) the interlocutor and the setting of the conversation, (2) habitual language use, (3) the use of popular terms, and (4) the functions and purposes of the communication.
