Abstract

This study aims to explore the role and efforts of legal counselors at the Regional Technical Implementation Unit for Women and Child Protection (UPTD PPA) in West Java Province in handling cases of sexual harassment against adolescent girls aged 12–18. A qualitative descriptive method was used, with data collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The main informant was Ma’ruf, a legal counselor directly involved in assisting victims. The findings reveal that legal counselors not only provide legal assistance but also emotional support throughout the legal process. Major challenges include low legal literacy among victims and their families, societal stigma, and a lack of professional support personnel. The study recommends age-appropriate sexual education, increased legal awareness, and cross-sectoral collaboration as strategic measures to protect adolescent girls from sexual violence.

Abstract

This study aims to identify effective forms of family support in helping working mothers balance multiple roles and reduce parenting stress. The method used was a literature study, which involved analysis of data from various sources to produce clearer conclusions and focus on issues relevant to the topic of work-family balance and focus on issues relevant to the topic of work-family balance, family support, and parenting stress. The results of the study showed that open family communication, equitable division of household tasks, as well as emotional and practical support from family members are important factors in building work-family balance. These strategies help mothers reduce stress and improve psychological well-being. This research recommends the development of family communication training, flexible work policies, as well as further qualitative-based research to explore working mothers' the direct experiences of working mothers. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for development of programs and policies that support the dual role of mothers in the family and workplace.

Abstract

Keluarga memainkan peran penting dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran dan pemahaman seseorang terhadap orang lain. Namun, faktor-faktor kontemporer seperti kesibukan orang tua dan dampak teknologi digital menyebabkan komunikasi keluarga menjadi kurang baik. Dalam artikel ini, kami akan membahas bagaimana bercerita, atau kegiatan bercerita, dapat menjadi alat yang efektif untuk meningkatkan empati dan ikatan emosional antar anggota keluarga. Penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai teori dan hasil empiris melalui metode studi literatur. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa cerita, selain berfungsi sebagai media hiburan, juga dapat berfungsi sebagai cara untuk berkomunikasi secara aman, reflektif, dan edukatif. Penyebaran cerita memungkinkan simulasi mental, yang membantu orang merasakan perasaan orang lain, membentuk tempat diskusi yang intim, dan menanamkan nilai-nilai keluarga secara mendalam. Jadi, cerita dapat digunakan sebagai metode komunikasi keluarga yang kontekstual dan aplikatif untuk mengatasi masalah dalam hubungan antar generasi di zaman sekarang..

Abstract

The life of students in the National Intelligence Agency (BIN) is unique because it is bound by rules and education systems that are closed, structured, and have a high level of confidentiality. This situation often creates communication distance between students and their families, especially in terms of information disclosure and limited interaction time. This research aims to examine communication methods that can be applied by learners in establishing healthy and effective relationships with their families. The approach used is a literature study of various journals, books, and scientific articles relevant to interpersonal communication, family communication, and communication in military or intelligence institutions. The results of the analysis show that the use of assertive, empathic, and adaptive communication is the main key in maintaining harmonious relationships. In addition, the importance of emotional support from the family is also a supporting factor for students' academic and psychological success. Communication that is reciprocal, open within certain limits, and carried out consistently can strengthen emotional bonds even in situations full of limitations. This article recommends the importance of interpersonal communication training for learners, as well as briefing families on the characteristics of education in the BIN environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of family communication patterns in overseas students, especially the relationship between students and parents who are influenced by physical distance and time differences. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a literature study approach that collects and analyzes various literature related to family communication and the challenges of long-distance communication. The results of the study show that effective, open, and consistent family communication patterns are very important in maintaining relationship harmony and psychological support for overseas students. Communication technologies such as social media, WhatsApp, and video calls play a major role in bridging distance limitations, although technical barriers and busy activities are often the main challenges. Adaptation strategies such as scheduling communication time and developing interpersonal communication skills are important solutions to overcome these obstacles. Honest and open communication can strengthen emotional bonds, reduce stress, and increase students' motivation to learn and academic success. Conversely, ineffective communication can potentially lead to emotional isolation and decreased mental well-being. This research confirms that the establishment of healthy and supportive communication patterns between overseas students and their families is crucial to support students' personal and academic development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan utama. Pertama adalah menganalisa tantangan dan strategi intervensi yang diterapkan oleh pekerja sosial atas masalah tunawisma. Kedua, fokus khusus kepada keluarga tunawisma dengan anak. Berdasarkan 20 jurnal ilmiah yang relevan, analisis lebih mendalam mengenai penyebab tunawisma dan peran pekerja sosial dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur sistematis. Ditemukan bahwa dalam proses penanganan, para pekerja sosial telah berperan sebagai fasilitator dan advokat. Tugas itu meliputi menghubungkan para tunawisma dengan layanan sosial penting yang diperlukan. Pendekatan ‘perumahan pertama’ dibuktikan sebagai intervensi yang sangat efektif. Namun, masih terdapat tantangan yang mungkin sulit untuk diatasi seperti dukungan kebijakan yang sangat terbatas, anggaran yang minim, dan stigma masyarakat sekitar. Kolaborasi dari banyak sektor dan keikutsertaan masyarakat dalam program ini sangat dibutuhkan. Usaha dan pendekatan menyeluruh menjadi saran yang dapat diambil dalam penelitian ini agar perubahan yang mencolok dapat dihasilkan dalam waktu yang lama. Perubahan yang dimaksud menciptakan layanan sosial untuk perkotaan.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country with high religious diversity, so interfaith harmony is an important aspect in maintaining social stability. The family as the smallest social unit has a strategic role in shaping the values of tolerance and peaceful religiosity. This research aims to analyze the role of interpersonal communication in the family in instilling the value of religious harmony to family members, especially children. This research uses a literature study approach or Library research as the main method. The literature study is conducted by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing various relevant literature sources, both in the form of scientific journals, books, and other academic documents that discuss interpersonal communication in the family and the values of religious harmony. The results of the study show that interpersonal communication based on openness, empathy, and respect for differences is an effective means of transmitting religious tolerance values. This communication pattern strengthens emotional bonds in the family, so as to create a dialogical atmosphere that supports the cultivation of moderate and inclusive religious values. Thus, families through interpersonal communication contribute greatly in shaping individuals who are able to live in harmony amidst differences in beliefs, and become agents of peace in the wider community.

Abstract

Budaya patriarki telah lama menjadi sistem sosial yang melekat dan dominan dalam masyarakat Indonesia, menepatkan laki-laki sebagai penguasa dan perempuan pada posisi subordinat. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manifesti dan dinamika perlawanan terhadap budaya patriarki di Indonesia, yang secara kultural dan struktural menjadi tantangan signifikan bagi kesetaraan gender. Dengan menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini melakukan telaah mendalam atas literatur ilmiah yang membahas fenomena pelanggengan dan agensi perempuan. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa patriarki melanggengkan dominasi laki-laki dan menciptakan berbagai bentuk ketidakadilan, termasuk subordinasi peran domestik yang berujung pada kondisi beban ganda bagi perempuan. Nilai-nilai patriarki diperkuat melalui norma kultural dan memanifesti diri dalam kesenjangan struktural di sector publik seperti Pendidikan, karier, dan partisipasi politik. Namun, hasil utama menunjukkan adanya transformasi peran perempuan yang didorong oleh kebijakan seperti Pengarusutamaan Gender (PUG) dan didukung oleh perlawanan ganda dari perempuan sendiri yaitu dengan resistensi ideologis dan pemberdayaan ekonomi. Impilikasi penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya interverensi PUG untuk mendekonstruksi norma kultural sekaligus kebijakan struktural yang menjamin akses penuh perempuan terhadap sumber daya ekonomi demi mendukung transformasi sosial yang berkelanjutan.
