Abstract

This study investigates the impact of education, health, and per capita expenditure on poverty levels in Papua Province from 2019 to 2023. Employing a quantitative approach, the analysis utilizes panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) as the selected method. The research relies on secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Papua, and statistical processing is conducted using Eviews 10. The independent variables include education, health, and per capita expenditure, while poverty serves as the dependent variable. The findings reveal that both education and per capita expenditure have a statistically significant negative effect on poverty, indicating that higher educational attainment and greater purchasing power contribute to reducing poverty rates in the region. Conversely, the health variable exhibits a significant positive relationship with poverty, likely reflecting the high cost and limited accessibility of healthcare services in Papua. The regression model demonstrates an Adjusted R² value of 68.64%, suggesting that the three variables collectively account for 68.64% of the variation in poverty levels, with the remaining variance attributed to other unobserved factors. These results underscore the critical need for policies that enhance educational access and improve household purchasing power, as well as reforms aimed at making healthcare services more equitable and affordable. Such measures are essential to effectively address poverty in Papua Province

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Gini Ratio, Human Development Index (HDI), and Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) on the open unemployment rate in Lampung Province during the 2019–2023 period. The method used in the analysis is a fixed effect model approach with panel data regression, based on secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Lampung Province. The results of the partial test (t-test) indicate that the three independent variables—the Gini ratio, HDI, and LFPR—do not have a significant effect individually on the open unemployment rate in the region. However, the adjusted coefficient of determination (adjusted R²) value of 88.95% indicates that the model can explain almost all the variation that occurs in the open unemployment rate. This shows that although these variables are statistically insignificant in the model, theoretically they still have an important role in explaining unemployment dynamics in Lampung, along with other factors not yet included in the model. This research provides a strong basis for further analysis in formulating unemployment reduction policies, particularly in regions with economic and social characteristics such as Lampung. Recommendations from this study point to the need for a more comprehensive policy approach that considers other macroeconomic variables such as investment, industrial sector growth, and the quality of education and job training to effectively and sustainably reduce unemployment at the regional level.

Abstract

The Sorek Dua Village KKN student activity program with a qualitative descriptive method was carried out at SDN 006 Sorek Dua. The literacy level of Indonesian students is relatively low. On this basis, reading and writing activities are needed. Students know the unit of length and unit of weight. This certainly increases student learning motivation. Therefore, suggestions for the future are that it is hoped that there will be more recent improvements so that students can know the units of length and units of weight. From the activities carried out at SDN 006 Sorek Dua, it can be concluded that students' ability to understand the concepts of reading, writing and arithmetic lies not only in the school environment but also in the surrounding environment. seem more eager to learn. This certainly increases student learning motivation.
