Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian berfokus pada perubahan signifikan dalam cara berkomunikasi yang disebabkan oleh kemajuan teknologi, terutama penggunaan ponsel pintar dan platform media sosial dalam keseharian mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengalaman dan pandangan mahasiswa dari Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi UIN Raden Fatah Palembang mengenai interaksi antarpribadi di zaman digital. Metode yang diterapkan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan pengamatan. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa ponsel pintar dan aplikasi pesan instan dimanfaatkan secara luas karena efisiensi dan aksesibilitasnya, tetapi hal ini mengakibatkan berkurangnya komunikasi secara langsung, terjadinya miskomunikasi, dan penurunan ungkapan nonverbal. Selain itu, media sosial juga membentuk identitas digital mahasiswa dan menimbulkan tekanan sosial seperti fear of missing out (FOMO). Di lain pihak, dalam aspek akademik, ponsel pintar memudahkan mahasiswa untuk mengakses pembelajaran online, meskipun bisa mengganggu fokus karena gangguan digital. Beberapa mahasiswa mulai mengadopsi pendekatan yang lebih bijaksana dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk menjaga keseimbangan antara komunikasi secara digital dan secara langsung. Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya pemahaman literasi digital dan kesadaran tentang komunikasi antarpribadi di kehidupan akademis di era teknologi

Abstract

The development of social media has changed the pattern of public interaction and accelerated the spread of information, including in the context of crisis communication. This study analyzes the crisis communication strategy implemented by Gus Miftah, a religious and public figure, in responding to netizens' criticism of his statement that was considered insulting to an iced tea seller in an event that went viral on Instagram in December 2024. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a content analysis method on data obtained from documentation of social media uploads, online news, Gus Miftah's public statements, and public responses on digital platforms. The results of the study indicate that the crisis communication strategy implemented through the use of an Instagram account by posting content that includes an open apology, personal clarification, direct meetings with the injured party, and resignation from public office. This approach is in line with the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) which emphasizes the importance of a response that is appropriate to the type of crisis being faced. This study concludes that the combination of corrective and restorative strategies carried out by Gus Miftah has proven effective in mitigating the crisis and restoring some public trust. This finding can be a reference for other public figures in dealing with reputation crises in the digital era.

Abstract

Hanan Attaki through his Instagram account @hanan_attaki and its influence on the spirituality of Generation Z. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through content observation, literature review. The findings indicate that da'wah communication delivered in a visual, emotional, and contextually relevant manner fosters psychological closeness and enhances spiritual awareness among youth. Content centered on themes such as love, anxiety, self-discovery, and worship motivation received the most positive engagement. Casual language, modern visual aesthetics, and interactive responses in the comment section serve as key factors in the success of Ustadz Hanan Attaki's da'wah communication. This study affirms that social media can be an effective da'wah platform for younger generations when applied through adaptive and contextual communication strategies.

Abstract

Bullying is one of the most prevalent social problems in schools and has a negative impact on students’ development. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in preventing bullying behavior through the inculcation of Islamic moral values at MTs Miftahus Syafa’ah. This research employed a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that PAI teachers act as educators, mentors, and role models in instilling Islamic morals based on ḥablumminannās (respecting peers, politeness, mutual assistance, refraining from mocking, and avoiding harm). The strategies applied include Islamic education learning, habituation, religious activities, and teacher role modeling. The study also identified several obstacles, such as limited teaching strategies, weak supervision, and the influence of students’ social environment. This research emphasizes that the inculcation of Islamic moral values can serve as an effective preventive strategy against bullying, thereby fostering a religious, harmonious, and conducive school climate.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of food vlogger reviews on food purchasing decisions of Communication Science students at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Through a quantitative approach with linear regression analysis, this study collected data from 67 active respondents on social media using a questionnaire. The results of the analysis show that food vlogger reviews have a positive effect on purchasing decisions with a regression coefficient value of 0.949 (p <0.05) and R² of 0.624, indicating that 62.4% of the variation in purchasing decisions can be explained by these reviews. This study emphasizes the importance of vlogger credibility, delivery quality, and visual content in attracting the attention of young consumers. These findings indicate that food vloggers can function as an effective marketing strategy in the culinary industry which is growing rapidly in the digital era. Thus, this insight provides a significant contribution for culinary industry players in formulating effective marketing strategies in the culinary industry which is growing rapidly in the digital era.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh ulasan food vlogger terhadap keputusan pembelian makanan mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. Melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari 67 responden aktif di media sosial dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ulasan food vlogger berpengaruh positif terhadap keputusan pembelian dengan nilai koefisien regresi sebesar 0,949 (p < 0,05) dan R² sebesar 0,624, yang menandakan bahwa 62,4% variasi dalam keputusan pembelian dapat dijelaskan oleh ulasan ini. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kredibilitas vlogger, kualitas penyampaian, dan konten visual dalam menarik perhatian konsumen muda. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa food vlogger dapat berfungsi sebagai strategi pemasaran yang efektif dalam industri kuliner yang semakin berkembang pesat di era digital. Dengan demikian, wawasan ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan bagi pelaku industri kuliner dalam merumuskan strategi pemasaran yang efektif dalam industri kuliner yang semakin berkembang pesat di era digital.
