Abstract

Abstract: Patient satisfaction is one of the important indicators that reflect the results or outcomes of health services provided by health facilities. One aspect that can reduce patient satisfaction is waiting time that is too long in health services. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between waiting time and patient satisfaction in the outpatient installation. The research design used in this study was cross sectional. The research was conducted at the outpatient installation of the Banjarnegara Islamic Hospital. The research was conducted in September 2024. The study population was all patients who came to utilize services at the Banjarnegara Islamic Hospital outpatient installation. The research sample amounted to 92 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate. The results of the study showed a relationship between waiting time (p value: 0.000) on patient satisfaction. It is recommended for the hospital to routinely observe services in order to maintain existing strengths and always improve service quality. Keywords: Satisfaction, Hospital, Waiting Time.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a health challenge in Indonesia. Its treatment is lengthy and requires discipline, making medication adherence crucial. One way to improve adherence is through the involvement of Medication Supervisors (PMO) during treatment. To examine the relationship between the role of PMO and the level of medication adherence among pulmonary TB patients at Puskesmas Sukarahayu. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and purposive sampling, involving 135 TB patients. Data were collected via questionnaires on the role of PMO and MMAS-8, then analyzed using Spearman's Rank test. The study showed that the majority of respondents had PMOs who played a supportive role (94.8%), and most respondents were adherent to their medication (63.7%). The statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between the role of PMO and medication adherence (p = 0.000) with a correlation coefficient r = 0.638, indicating a strong and positive relationship. The better the PMO role, the higher the adherence of TB patients to treatment. Improving the quality and engagement of PMOs is an effective strategy to reduce dropout rates, prevent resistance (DR-TB), and accelerate recovery. This confirms the importance of training and support for PMOs in TB control programs.

Abstract

Background: Appropriate breastfeeding and complementary feeding practices are essential to prevent stunting, as inadequate nutritional intake increases the risk of growth impairment. Therefore, nutrition education needs to be strengthened to enable mothers to meet their children’s nutritional needs optimally, using easily accessible digital media such as flipbooks. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of digital flipbook–based nutrition education on mothers’ perceptions of stunting prevention for children aged 0–60 months. Methods: A quantitative study with a pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 110 respondents selected through simple random sampling and divided into intervention and control groups. The study was conducted in the working area of Sukarahayu Primary Health Center, Subang. Results: There was a significant improvement in the intervention group after receiving the digital flipbook education (p = 0.0001), whereas the control group showed minimal changes (p = 0.012). Additionally, an Independent t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups in stunting prevention perception (t = 6.986; p = 0.000). Conclusion: The findings indicate that digital flipbook–based education positively influences mothers’ knowledge and perception regarding stunting prevention. Correlation analysis revealed that maternal age, education, income, and internet access were associated with improved perception of stunting prevention, while child’s sex, child’s age, mother’s occupation, and number of children were not associated. Thus, digital flipbooks can serve as a more effective educational alternative compared to traditional lecture methods in stunting prevention efforts.

Abstract

Background: The rapid development of the internet has made it easier for teenagers to obtain information, communicate, play games, and use social media. High levels of internet use can increase the risk of internet addiction in adolescents. Good quality sleep is essential for cognitive function, concentration, academic achievement, and physical and mental health. Late-night internet use, coupled with difficulty controlling the duration of use, can potentially lead to changes in sleep patterns in adolescents. Purpose: To determine the relationship between internet addiction and sleep quality in adolescents at MAN 1 Subang. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 781 students at MAN 1 Subang, using proportionate stratified random sampling technique and a sample size of 89 respondents. The instruments used were the Internet Addiction Test (IAT) questionnaire to measure internet addiction levels and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) to assess sleep quality. Results: A total of 46 adolescents (51.7%) experienced moderate internet addiction, while 83 adolescents (93.3%) had poor sleep quality. Spearman's correlation test results showed a significant positive relationship with weak strength between internet addiction and sleep quality in adolescents (rₛ = 0.224; p = 0.035). Conclusion: Internet addiction is significantly associated with sleep quality in adolescents, although the strength of the relationship is weak. Higher levels of internet addiction tend to be associated with poorer sleep quality. Education on wise internet use and time management is needed to support adolescent sleep quality.
