Abstract

Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, tim PKM melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan perawatan mesin pertanian di Desa Saureinu. Materi pelatihan meliputi pengenalan konsep mesin 2 tak, 4 tak, system pengapian pada motor bakar, system pemindah tenaga dan trouble shooting engine. Peserta mendapatkan materi teori dan praktik terkait perawatan dan perbaikan mesin pertanian. Selain mendapatkan materi pelatihan, petani juga mendapatkan kesempatan untuk memperbaiki mesin yang mereka miliki. Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat ini menargetkan petani mampu melakukan perawatan, analisa kerusakan dan perbaikan ringan pada mesin pertanian. Pada kegiatan ini juga diberikan informasi terkait perawatan berkala pada mesin, penggantian pelumasan, system pendingin pada mesin sehingga masa pakai mesin jadi lebih panjang. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pada akhir kegiatan diperoleh peningkatan pemahaman peserta dalam aspek prinsip kerja mesin 2 tak, 4 tak serta peningkatan kompetensi peserta dalam melakukan perawatan mesin. Berdasarkan hasil post test di akhir kegiatan diperoleh peningkatan pemahaman peserta terkait materi pelatihan sebesar 30%. Hasil ini diharapkan menjadi modal awal bagi peserta dan perangkat desa untuk mengembangkan kompetensi ini pasca kegiatan.

Abstract

The article discusses the challenges in traditional educational assessment methods, such as limited personalization, inefficient feedback, and an overemphasis on lower-order thinking skills. The study aims to explore the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational assessment, identifying current trends, assessing its impact on learning, and forecasting future developments. A systematic literature review (SLR) was employed to examine the integration of AI in both formative and summative assessments. The findings reveal that AI-based assessment systems provide adaptive, personalized feedback, promote student engagement, and foster individualized learning paths. AI technologies, like machine learning and natural language processing, are particularly effective in providing real-time feedback and evaluating higher-order competencies, including critical thinking and creativity. However, challenges such as data privacy and algorithmic bias remain critical concerns. The study concludes that AI has significant potential to transform educational assessment, offering more dynamic, efficient, and personalized evaluation methods. Future research should focus on addressing ethical concerns like data privacy and algorithmic bias while enhancing AI-driven assessments' adaptability and scalability to support diverse learner needs.

Abstract

       Self-efficacy plays a crucial role in shaping students' motivation and performance, particularly in the context of learning a foreign language such as English. Guided by Bandura’s (1997) social cognitive theory, this study explores Indonesian university students’ self-efficacy beliefs in English learning, with a specific focus on the role of effort-related beliefs. This study aims to explore university students' self-efficacy in English learning by analyzing their beliefs and confidence levels toward their language learning abilities. The respondents consisted of 129 students enrolled in a compulsory General English course in Universitas Negeri Padang, selected from a population of 308 students using a simple random sampling technique. A questionnaire comprising 25 items based on a Likert scale was administered to measure students’ self-efficacy. The validity and reliability of the instrument were confirmed through Pearson Product-Moment correlation and Cronbach’s Alpha (? = 0.7926), indicating strong internal consistency. Data analysis revealed that the average self-efficacy score was 3.29, which falls into the moderate category. The highest-rated statement indicated students' belief that effort leads to improvement, while the lowest-rated item reflected a sense of helplessness regardless of effort. These results suggest that while students believe in their potential to succeed in English learning through hard work, some still struggle with negative self-perceptions. The findings emphasize the importance of addressing students' self-efficacy beliefs to enhance their learning outcomes. Educational interventions that foster self-awareness, goal-setting, and motivational strategies may contribute positively to increasing self-efficacy in language learning. This study contributes to the growth of the literature on EFL self-efficacy in Indonesia. It is suggested that the lecturers to support students’ confidence and autonomy in acquiring English as a foreign language.

Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara merupakan suatu proses yang memerlukan latihan secara berkala. Namun, pandemi Covid-19 mempengaruhi semua aspek khususnya pendidikan. Pemerintah memerintahkan agar belajar mengajar dilakukan secara online atau belajar dan menagajar dari rumah. Zoom adalah media online yang digunakan untuk menunjang pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan Zoom sebagai media online dalam belajar bahasa Inggris (kemampuan berbicara). Metode penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Sampel penelitan ini adalah mahasiswa keperawatan Universitas Mohammad Natsir Bukittinggi angkatan 2019 (Kelas A &B), berjumlah 68 orang. Instrumen penelitian adalah kuisioner. Peneliti menggunakan Microsoft Excel dan STATCAL dalam menganalisa hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa setuju dengan beberapa pernyataan bahwa belajar secara virtual dengan menggunakan Zoom sesuai dengan situasi saat ini karena dapat memperlancar proses pembelajaran dan tetap dapat mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Sementara itu, mahasiswa merespon dengan hasil positif atau menyetujui semua komponen yang diberikan terkait persepsi mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan Zoom sebagai media pembelajaran untuk kelas speaking. Penjelasan lebih rinci dijelaskan dalam hasil dan pembahasan. Kata Kunci: online-learning, zoom, keterampilan berbicara, persepsi mahasiswa
