Knowledge is the result of know and this occurred after people perform sensing on a particular object. Factors affecting knowledge of factors including internal, external and learning approach. In addition to these three factors one's knowledge is also influenced by education, age, and tenure. Knowledge of dental care will increase if the role of educators in schools. One effort to improve oral health knowledge, the role of a primary school PE teachers to deliver to elementary students is expected. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of education, age and years of elementary school PE teacher in Tampaksiring district, Gianyar. The method used by means of an observational survey on 31 PE teachers, with Spearman analysis. From the analysis results obtained by the significant correlation (0.037 0.05) between level of education and level of knowledge.And no significant relationship between the level of knowledge with age (0.618 0.05) and the level of knowledge with tenure (0.596 0.05).The conclusion of this study, the majority of primary school PE teachers in Tampaksiring district has a bachelor's level education with an excellent level of knowledge. It is advisable to conduct training dental health education on a regular basis to improve the knowledge of primary school PE teachers throughout the Tampaksiring district, Gianyar

School-aged children are one of the most vulnerable groups of caries, because they generally have lack of knowledge and behavior about oral health, such as the habit of consuming cariogenic foods that trigger the dental caries. The purpose of this research is to know the caries description and the habit of consuming cariogenic food in students of SDN 5 Abiansemal in 2018. The technique used in this research is descriptive technique with the number of respondents 44 students. The result of the research on 44 students of SDN 5 Abiansemal shows the average of caries permanent teeth in students of SDN 5 Abiansemal is 1,61. The permanent caries mode of teeth is the tooth 46 ( teeth first permanent mandibular molar of the right lower). The frequency of students who have the habit of consuming most cariogenic foods is moderate category (2 times a day) that is 52, 3%. The frequency of students with caries teeth based on the dietary habits of cariogenic foods isfrom 7 students who have the habit of eating cariogenic foods high ( 3 times a day) as many as 7 students(100%) had caries teeth with an average dental caries 3,42 means that one student experiences three to four caries teeth. These results suggest that students who consume high-categorical cariogenic foods tend to experience more dental caries.

Aging is a process that can not be avoided by any human being, where there is a change in the process is a very complex body tissues as well as in the oral tissues. Knowledge is an impression in the minds of human as a result of the use of the five senses. Dental and oral health maintenance is to maintain oral hygiene from food residue and other debris in the mouth, with the aim to keep teeth healthy. Referring to the results of the survey in Hong Kong, the Asian countries with similar socio-cultural and Indonesia obtained for 12% of the elderly are not toothed and still have an average of 15 teeth to function. This study aims to gain an relation of knowledge about oral health care and the number of teeth that function in the elderly in the Home Care Elderly Wana Seraya Biaung Denpasar in 2013. This research is a descriptive study by using the total population. The study of 42 elderly suggests elderly who are knowledgeable about oral health care found that most of the elderly in the Home Care Elderly Wana Seraya Biaung Denpasar have less knowledge of the criteria are as many as 21 people with percentage 50 %, The average teeth of function in the elderly is as much as seven and average teeth of function based on the level of knowledge of dental and oral health maintenance by good criteria was 18.12. Knowledge level of elderly is positively connected with the amount teeth of function on elderly as big as 0,351 (r=0,351) with relation power as big as p=0,023 ( p-value 0,05 ).

8.5 % of the Gianyar regency population have the teeth and mouth problem. The knowledge of oral health care needs to be improved. The Oral health is a fundamental part of public health and well-being .The purpose of this study is to know the differences of oral health care knowledge level of SDN 2 Singapadu Kaler students before and after given education. The total population of this experimental sudy were 40 students. Data was based on the answers of the questionnaire before and after given education.The results of this study showed that the oral health care knowledge level of SDN 2 Singapadu Kaler students before and after given education were different significantly (p0.05). The mean of knowledge level after given education had changed from 63.87 to 91. Conclusion of this study is the oral health care knowledge level of SDN 2 Singapadu Kaler students after given education has increased.

A group of elderly people who are prone to caries and periodontal disease , tooth so that the elderly often lose teeth. Carries is universal disease that can happen to everyone. The impact of aging on dental health and oral marked increase in the loss of teeth , poor oral hygiene , periodontal disease , tooth root caries , erosion , abrasion and oral cancer. The purpose of this study was to describe the oral health of the elderly in the region elderly IHC Health center III South Denpasar in 2013.This study is a descriptive, cross sectional area of the elderly in IHC Health Centre III South Denpasar with a total sample of 90 people. Proportional sampling using random sampling.The results of this study indicate that the frequency of the elderly who experience caries 85.56 % and 14.44 % did not experience caries. The level of oral hygine respondents mostly with the criteria being totaled 57.78 % , of respondents with poor criteria and 42.22 % of the respondents did not find a good criteria. The number of teeth serve ≥ 20 on the respondents was 62.22 % with an average of tooth fuction on respondent between 20 to 22 teeth (21.70) from these results we can conclude that most of the elderly experience dental caries. Elderly who have a higher frequence of oral hygiene (OHIS value) is most commontly found in the criteria was not good while the criteria is not found on the respondent. The frequence of the number of teeh serve elderly ≥ 20 as much as 62.2%. Average dental fuction in the elderly has been in accordance with the national target set.Based on these conclusions it is recommended that the family helps to motivate the elderly to further improve dental hygiene and mouth as well as the local health centers are expected to mprovide information on how to maintain oral hygiene by providing counselling and dental health care of the elderly in elderly IHC Health Center Region III South Denpasar in periodically.

AbstractBackground: Dental caries is a one of dental diseases that mostly find in society. If dental caries does not treats, it will destroy all of teeth component include pulpa. Then, it become infection on the mucosa around it. Family health service at the health centre is a group of poor family, family who have pregnant mom with high of risk, and family who have low income and also not yet use health service, that condition has a high risk of the dental caries. The problem is family didn't know about dental caries. The objective of this research is to know about dental caries on family health service at the of health centre Mengwi I. Methode: This research is a descriptive research with 37 people for its population. The analyze of the data is doing by univariate statistic. Results: of this research show that the frequency of dental caries is 54 teeth with percentage 67,57% for people who caries. The mostly frequency of dental caries happen on family with poor criteria. The highest happen on family with bad nutrition with average of the dental caries 1,46. Toot that often had dental caries is first molar teeth mandibular permanent right bottom. The conclution is the frequeney of the dental caries that mostly happen on family who on poor condition and teeth that often had caries is first molar teeth mandibular permanent right bottom. The suggestion for the dental health staff to more respect about the dental health on family heatth service.

School aged students are oral health susceptible group because the 6 – 12 aged children are mixed dentition period that occur change from deciduous teeth topermanent teeth. The purpose of this study is to know the differences of students’ oral health level between active UKGS with non active UKGS in elementary schools at puskesmas II Denpasar Utara in 2015.The sample school used 2 as sample that were took by purposive sampling from 19 elementary schools thathave UKGS program which of of Puskesmas II Denpasar Utara’ working area. There is only one elementary school that have active UKGS. This observational study with cross sectional design use 186 students as sample from both schools and analyzed by MannWhitney-test. Results showed that the students’ oral hygiene and DMF-T scores at elementary school that have active UKGS with non active UKGS in which of Puskesmas II Denpasar Utara’ working area have different significantly for each (p<0,05). Conclusion of this study is the oral health level of students at elementary school that have active UKGS are better than non active UKGS one. Dental school program in elementary schools should be given regularly by teachers holders UKGS program so that elementary students havethe attitude, knowledge and behavior about oral health was good

Problems that are considered urgent in dental health programs in Indonesia today are still high rates of dental caries and periodontal disease. The optimal dental health status of the community can be achieved by increasing promotive and preventive efforts from an early age to the elderly. Community target who became the purpose of the implementation of community service is a cadre of Posyandu in Kukuh Village District Marga Tabanan regency. The purpose of Community Service is to empower Posyandu cadres in preventing tooth and mouth disease in Toddlers, thus increasing the degree of oral health of the people in Kukuh Village Penebel District Tabanan Regency Year 2018. Implementation of activities in community service is done by demonstrating how to brush teeth in front of the posyandu cadres. The activity targets are all posyandu cadres in Kukuh village, amounting to 40 people, then applying cadre to posyandu visitors in every posyandu at every posyandu activity. The result of community service is the cadres can demonstrate how to brush their teeth properly and have been practiced in the field in posyandu activities to be given to Posyandu visitors.Keywords: Empowerment of Posyandu cadres, Brushing Teeth.

Dental health problems in Indonesia are still a matter that still needs serious attention because the prevalence of caries reaches 60-80% of the population, and ranks 6th as the most common disease. Dental and oral health services, especially aimed at groups prone to dental health problems, namely pre-school children and elementary school children. The purpose of the activity was to improve the degree of dental and oral health of visitors to posyandu in Marga sub-district. This community service was carried out on Posyandu paramedic assistance in Kukuh village, Kec. Marga, Kab. Tabanan. Implementation of activities in the form of training with lecture methods, question and answer and simulation. The targets were 35 Posyandu paramedic assistance. The results of the training were obtained by the level of knowledge of paramedic assistance about oral and dental health as much as 62.9%, all paramedic assistance (100%) were skilled in brushing their teeth in the right way and early detection of cavities.Keywords: training, paramedic assistance, oral and dental health

Abstract. Strategic effort to embody the community empowerment in the school is the peer group form so that the choosen students who are trained to be able to play an active role as a clean and healthy driver for delivering subjects and messages in health promotion using mesatua as a dimension in Balinese culture , The aim of this study is to determine the effect of mesatua tradition as a peer group approach in changing the tooth brushing behavior of SD 5 Sayan Ubud students in 2016. This study is the experimental with pretest-posttest without control group design study was conducted at SD 5 Sayan Ubud, Gianyar.Using 79 students as sample. Datas was analyzed by the comparability of the Wilcoxon Match Pairs test and correlation of the Spearman test.Results of Wilcoxon Match Pairs test showed that there were significant differences in knowledge, attitudes and skills of students in toothbrushing (p0.05). Mesatua tradition as the peer group approach method influence on the tooth brushing behavior and oral hygiene status of students. Conclusion of this study is the mesatua tradition as the peer group approach method influence on the tooth brushing behavior of SD 5 Sayan Ubud students in 2016.Keywords: mesatua, toothbrushing behavior, peer group approach
