Abstract

Each processing using hydraulic system produces waste, tailing, containing gold. This research aimed to find out the cause of the losing and to find out the appropriate hydraulic system. It was conducted by taking data on the slope of the sluice box, the speed of materials flow, processed materials, and production results per day. The obtained data were then analyzed throughout comparing the values in the five research sites. The result indicated that in pit one the slope of sluice box was 150 with the flow speed was 2.05m/s resulted in 0.180 kg gold from 26.3 m3. In pit 2, the slope and the speed were 15o and 2.05 m/s respectively which this resulted in 0.180 kg gold of 26.3 m3. In pit 3, the slope and the speed were 12o and 1.92 m/s which resulted in 0.159 kg gold of 31.2 m3. In pit 4, the slope and the speed were 13o and 1.99 m/s which resulted in 0.148 kg gold of 28.3 m3. In the last pit, the slope and the speed were 15o and 2.01 m/s which resulted in 0.197 kg gold of 32.4 m3. The comparison indicated that the series of the hydraulic system which had ideal working efficiency was the one which had 2 m/s speed flow with the slope of sluice box was 15o. The slope was much better than 13o and 12o. The influencing factors for the loss were the speed of the flow and the slope of the sluice box

Abstract

This study develops an android-based broiler chicken cultivation guide application that provides information on how to cultivate broiler chickens. Although this cultivation effort can be done by anyone without special skills, it still requires guidance so that the business can run smoothly and profitably. Information on broiler chicken cultivation guides is widely available in various sources, such as books, online articles, and video tutorials. However, the information shared usually only discusses broiler chicken cultivation in general terms, which may not be in accordance with the needs and conditions of each farmer, making it difficult for farmers to find complete and efficient information. An Android-based broiler chicken cultivation guide application can be a solution to overcome these problems. Application development is carried out using Android Studio with the Java programming language. In this application, blackbox testing is also carried out to measure the functionality of the application and whitebox testing to measure the correctness of the program logic of the application. This application has various features such as getting to know broiler chickens, broiler chicken cultivation preparation, broiler chicken feed composition, initial growth phase maintenance, finisher period maintenance, broiler chicken diseases, harvest and post-harvest, prospects and how to calculate farmer profits and losses, as well as broiler chicken cultivation videos that can help farmers in carrying out broiler chicken cultivation efforts.

Abstract

Coal characterization is very heterogeneous chemically and physically, even within one seam there can be significant differences. Although some areas have coal, the characteristics of coal in one area are not necessarily the same as coal in other areas. This research was conducted to determine the coal rank based on calorific value, coal grade and coal characteristics of Mallawa Formation. This research was conducted using field data collection methods directly in the field in the form of coal samples, outcrop geometry data which were then subjected to laboratory analysis in the form of proximate, sulfur and caloric tests, and analyzing the relationship between total sulfur content in coal and coal ash content. The results showed that the coal rank based on coal calorles is in sub bituminous (low rank), coal grade in very low grade coal, with an average moisture content of 7.78%, average ash content of 39.99%, volatile matter 32.85% and average fixed carbon 19.39 cal/gr, and has a high sulfur content of 2,13%. There is a strong relationship between ash and sulfur content in coal with an R²value of 0 8238.
