Abstract

Financing management is one of the crucial aspects in the sustainability of Islamic educational institutions. Challenges in obtaining and managing effective funds, both from internal and external sources, often become obstacles in realizing the goals of quality education. This article aims to identify various sources of financing that can be optimized by Islamic educational institutions and provide financing management strategies that are in accordance with sharia principles. Internal financing sourced from tuition fees and business units, as well as external financing such as zakat, infaq, sadaqah, productive waqf, and grants, are the main components discussed. Effective management strategies include participatory budget planning, financial transparency, and the implementation of digital systems in financial management. The article also points out the importance of diversifying revenue sources to reduce dependence on a single source of financing. Equipped with case studies and examples of best practices from successful Islamic education institutions, this article provides recommendations for managers of Islamic education institutions to strengthen their financial systems, improve accountability, and ensure financing sustainability through digital-based innovation and creative economy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of job satisfaction among Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in Agam Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to 138 PAI teachers across various educational levels. The descriptive analysis revealed a generally high level of job satisfaction, with 51.4% of respondents categorized as "Very Satisfied" and 43.5% as "Satisfied." The mean job satisfaction score reached 190.59 out of a maximum of 225, indicating that most teachers experience fulfillment across multiple dimensions, including work environment, leadership, rewards, and interpersonal relationships. These findings suggest that the majority of PAI teachers perceive their professional, emotional, and administrative needs as being adequately met. Nevertheless, a small proportion of respondents reported lower satisfaction levels, highlighting the need for further qualitative investigation. The results provide empirical insights that may inform educational policymakers and school management in formulating strategies to enhance teacher well-being, motivation, and professional performance within Islamic education contexts.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an integrated review of the basic concepts of sociology of education and the thoughts of key figures in sociology (Durkheim, Comte, Weber, Marx, Simmel) as a theoretical basis for understanding the function of education in contemporary society. The method used is a descriptive-analytical literature study with data collection from two main papers that are combined with supporting literature; the analysis is conducted through content analysis techniques to examine themes, similarities, and theoretical implications. The results of the study show that the basic concepts of educational sociology include the relationship between education and social institutions (family, economy, politics), social interactions in schools (teacher-student, student-student), the curriculum as a social construct including the hidden curriculum, and the dual role of education as an agent of reproduction and an agent of social change. The thoughts of these figures enrich the framework: Durkheim emphasizes integrative functions and norm formation, Marx highlights the reproduction of class inequality, Weber emphasizes social action and the bureaucratization of education, Comte provides a positivist methodological foundation, and Simmel highlights the dynamics of micro-interactions. In conclusion, the integration of basic concepts and the ideas of key figures produce a comprehensive theoretical framework for analyzing education policy, curriculum, and practice. The limitation of this research is that it is only based on literature, so the recommendation includes empirical field studies to test the relevance of the findings in the context of Indonesian educational practice.
