Abstract

Persaingan dunia kerja yang semakin ketat menuntut lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) untuk memiliki kesiapan yang matang, terutama dalam menghadapi tahapan wawancara kerja. Namun, kenyataannya masih banyak siswa SMK yang belum memiliki keterampilan public speaking dan komunikasi interpersonal yang memadai, sehingga berpotensi menghambat mereka dalam memperoleh pekerjaan. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan public speaking dan komunikasi interpersonal siswa sebagai bagian dari kesiapan kerja. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di SMK NU 01 Kramat dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan praktis, yaitu melalui pemberian materi, simulasi wawancara kerja, dan role play. Materi pelatihan terbagi dalam tiga sesi utama: (1) membangun kepercayaan diri dan keterampilan public speaking, (2) strategi menghadapi wawancara kerja, dan (3) pemahaman mengenai soft skill, hard skill, dan attitude yang dibutuhkan di dunia kerja. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan siswa mengenai wawancara kerja serta peningkatan kepercayaan diri mereka dalam menyampaikan pendapat dan menjawab pertanyaan selama simulasi berlangsung. Interaksi aktif antara peserta dan pemateri juga menjadi indikator bahwa pendekatan pelatihan yang digunakan efektif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan siswa menghadapi dunia kerja secara lebih profesional. Kegiatan ini memberikan manfaat yang nyata bagi siswa dalam mengembangkan keterampilan komunikasi yang esensial untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Ke depan, disarankan agar program pelatihan semacam ini dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan melibatkan praktisi dari dunia industri guna memberikan wawasan yang lebih aplikatif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pasar kerja saat ini

Abstract

Bullying in secondary schools is a serious issue that affects students’ psychosocial well-being and academic achievement, and significantly disrupts the learning climate and the quality of social relationships among students. This community service activity aimed to implement the Child-Friendly School Program through anti-bullying socialization at SMA N 1 Kersana in order to enhance the understanding and commitment of all school members in creating a safe, inclusive, and sustainable learning environment. The method employed a participatory approach, including needs assessment, interactive socialization sessions, focus group discussions, case simulations, and structured evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results indicated a 23% increase in participants’ understanding based on the comparison of scores before and after the intensive implementation of the program. Furthermore, a “Bullying-Free School” declaration was established along with a plan to strengthen the Violence Prevention and Handling Team as a more systematic sustainability strategy. These findings confirm that participatory-based socialization effectively reinforces the implementation of the Child-Friendly School Program and fosters a safe, inclusive, sustainable, and responsive school culture that supports students’ positive character development.

Abstract

The phenomenon of student brawls has become a source of pride for those with violent tendencies, especially among students. As a result, the phenomenon of student brawls in Indonesia has recently become commonplace. In fact, these brawls have shifted from mere physical fights to violent acts connected directly to social media (live streaming). SMAN 1 Kersana, as a school that is concerned about this phenomenon, has taken anticipatory steps to prevent its students from becoming victims or perpetrators of violence or bullying. One of these measures is by holding In-House Training (IHT) attended by all teachers and staff at the school. After the IHT, there are also follow-ups as concrete steps from the implementation of IHT to develop programs for preventing and handling violence. An understanding of the laws related to acts of violence is mandatory for all parties involved. Furthermore, synergy between all parties, between the school, the school committee, and parents of students is one of the keys to preventing and handling violence at SMAN 1 Kersana.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide an understanding of legal awareness and protection as a fundamental concept in the development of modern businesses for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tegal City. The program is focused on MSME actors who need knowledge about the importance of legal awareness and protection to enhance and develop their businesses. The methods used in this activity include initial observation, preparation of training materials, implementation of training, and evaluation. The results of the activity show an improvement in participants' understanding of the importance of legal awareness and protection in the context of modern business. The legal awareness held by MSME actors plays a crucial role in the development of more professional businesses and in avoiding legal issues. The participatory approach applied in this activity has proven to be effective in increasing legal awareness among MSME actors, as well as providing insights into the legal protection available to them amidst rapid modernization and global competition. This program is expected to contribute positively to the empowerment of MSME actors through a better understanding of the law.
