Abstract

Karehkel Village is recognized for its vast agricultural potential, with most residents relying on farming. However, the government’s neoliberal policies, such as infrastructure development and investment enhancement, have significantly affected Karehkel’s agrarian structure. Research was conducted using a qualitative approach, with in-depth interviews exploring the history of Karehkel’s agrarian system as a symbol of identity and culture. Farming is seen as an ancestral heritage to be preserved. In response to neoliberal policieswhich are adaptive and solution-oriented, such as storing rice for personal consumption, selling to middlemen at high prices, and limiting land sale activities, have been able to overcome the challenges of neoliberal policies at least until now.. The agrarian structure’s transformation has led to challenges and barriers, including the repurposing of traditional farmland for property investments or businesses, a decline in local land ownership with most lands transferring to investors, and a decrease in farmers’ socio-economic independence in food provision. The government’s lack of effective solutions to maintain agricultural land sustainability has resulted in reduced agricultural production, increased dependence on external parties, migration and social changes, and diminished interest in agriculture among the youth. Abstract

The Social Welfare Center (PUSKESOS) of Cibadak Village, Bogor is an organization established in 2023 by the Social Service with the involvement of Cibadak Village in selecting officers to carry out services for the community. High enthusiasm of the community towards the presence of PUSKESOS has resulted in an imbalance between service times and community demand for the number of workers. Institutional strengthening is needed by PUSKESOS in facing challenges and forming development strategies through a Multi-Stakeholder Partnership approach. This research aims to examine the influence of PUSKESOS collaboration with various partners using the Multi-Stakeholder Partnership theory to evaluate the impact of partnerships on services along with supporting and inhibiting factors in the running of the PUSKESOS organization in Cibadak Village. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews as a primary data collection tool. The research results show that PUSKESOS has succeeded in building collaborative involvement between stakeholders with service development strategies implemented to maximize PUSKESOS services including service improvements in data input training and the use of technological facilities as well as monitoring and evaluation activities to facilitate the service process for the people of Cibadak Village.

Abstract

The growing public interest in organic food has sparked a movement towards organic agriculture since the early 2000s, driven by various non-governmental organizations (NGOs). This surge in interest prompted policymakers to develop guidelines and regulations to support organic farming. Tasikmalaya Regency is one of the pioneers in the implementation of organic agriculture that has been able to produce and cultivate organic rice since 2006. This study aims to investigate the factors that affect the implementation of organic rice farming in Tasikmalaya during 2017-2023 and formulate policies that can be proposed to improve the implementation. The results of the study show that socio-economic, technical, production quality, and adaptation to external changes such as the COVID-19 pandemic, affect the dynamics of organic rice farming in Tasikmalaya. Recommended policies include institutional strengthening, capacity building and farmer education, infrastructure development and market access, and providing economic and financial incentives.
