Abstract

This literature review aims to determine the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the material of time units in mathematics subjects for grade III of elementary school. The background of this literature review is the low understanding of students towards the concept of time units and the minimal participation of students in the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a classroom action method carried out in two cycles. Data collected through student and teacher activities as well as learning outcome tests are analyzed descriptively. The results of the literature review show that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve understanding of the concept of time units, active student participation in discussions, and students' ability to solve problems on time unit material. Thus, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model is effective for improving the quality of mathematics learning in elementary schools, especially on time unit material.

Abstract

Aim: The aim of this research is to identify and analyze the limitations and responsibilities of visitors to the Surabaya Zoo (KBS) in maintaining animal welfare, environmental cleanliness and preserving conservation functions. Method: This research method uses a direct observation approach and literature study to obtain empirical data and theoretical perspectives. Result and Discussions: The research results show that most violations of boundaries by visitors are caused by a lack of understanding and awareness of the applicable rules, such as throwing rubbish out of place, urinating carelessly, smoking carelessly and spitting carelessly. Conclusion: To increase visitor compliance, more intensive education is needed through information boards, awareness campaigns and stricter supervision. It is hoped that this study can become the basis for developing visitor management policies that support KBS conservation goals in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Salah satu mata pelajaran dasar yang penting dalam pendidikan adalah Bahasa Indonesia, namun banyak siswa merasa bahwa Bahasa Indonesia itu membosankan dan kurang menarik saat pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, peneliti mengadopsi pendekatan yang lebih menyenangkan dengan menggunakan platform media Educaplay sebagai metode untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai peningkatan hasil pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, khususnya pada Materi Konsep Unsur Intrinsik di kelas III SDN Pakis V-372 Surabaya, dengan memanfaatkan platform media Educaplay sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran yang menarik. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 27 siswa di kelas III. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pra-siklus, persentase ketuntasan siswa adalah 55,56%. Pada siklus I, persentase ketuntasan meningkat menjadi 70,37% dengan 14 siswa mencapai ketuntasan. Di siklus II, terjadi peningkatan signifikan hingga mencapai 85,19% dengan 23 siswa tuntas. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media Educaplay secara efektif meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas III SDN Pakis V-372 Surabaya.
