Abstract

The Community Service Activity carried out by the Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jawa Timur aims to increase the capacity of culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Malang City through quality management training. The research stages include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the preparation stage, a mapping of the current conditions of culinary MSMEs is carried out to identify their specific needs. The implementation stage focuses on training that includes product quality management and effective financial management. Evaluation is carried out through further assistance to assess the extent of understanding and application of training materials by MSME actors. Community service activities show that this training significantly increases MSME understanding in maintaining product quality and managing finances, so as to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of their businesses.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service program is to discuss the Mentoring of Prospective Customers in the Valbury Apps Trading Education Program at PT. Valbury Asia Futures Surabaya which aims to improve the understanding and readiness of the community in entering the world of trading. This program is designed to provide comprehensive education to prospective customers through the introduction of the Valbury Apps application, basic trading training, and personal consultation sessions. Systematic assistance so that prospective customers can understand risk management and use of the platform properly before jumping directly into the real market. The results of this program show that education is very good for improving financial literacy and the confidence of prospective customers in making trading decisions independently. Thus, this program not only strengthens the relationship between the company and prospective customers but also becomes an effective strategy in building customers who are interested in the world of trading.

Abstract

The low level of financial literacy among the public, especially the younger generation, poses a high risk of errors in digital investment decisions, including online commodity trading activities. In response to this issue, a community service program by PT Valbury Surabaya was conducted to enhance prospective clients’ understanding of trading concepts, associated risks, and legal compliance. This program employed a qualitative descriptive and participatory approach, combining face-to-face education, digital media utilization, and demo account simulations. The results showed significant improvements across five literacy indicators, such as the ability to distinguish between legal and illegal platforms, awareness of risks, and increased participant interest in further learning. Trading simulations proved effective in strengthening conceptual understanding and building participants’ confidence. The activity also fostered active discussions and collective awareness of the importance of managing digital finances legally and strategically. In conclusion, this practice-based and interactive educational approach is essential for improving trading literacy and is worth expanding to broader communities as a tangible contribution to digital financial inclusion.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact learning agility and work-life balance on performance of daily hotel workers in Bali through job insecurity as a moderating variable. The role workforce of the hospitality industry in Bali is crucial, also it is important to understand the dynamics that affect performance which can help improve job security, particularly caused by certain events such as the COVID-19 pandemic. This research used a quantitative method, 96 of hotel daily workers in Bali as respondents and surveyed using purposive sampling techniques, while data processing uses Partial Least Square (PLS) software. Results showed that there is a positive and significant impact of learning agility and work-life balance on performance, while negative and significant impact on job insecurity. Job insecurity have a significant negative impact on performance. Furthermore, job insecurity significantly mediates the relationship between both learning agility and work-life balance on performance. Results imply that although enhancing learning agility and maintaining a good work-life balance are necessary to improve performance, the basic sense of job insecurity can markedly moderate these relationships, indicating that hotel management should address the affective aspect of job security to effectively manage employee performance.

Abstract

The use of TikTok as a digital marketing medium is an effective way to increase brand awareness for services. This community service activity was carried out to help Revio Space Surabaya improve its TikTok content management in order to strengthen the image of its office rental services. Previous partners faced several obstacles, such as immature content concepts, irregular posting schedules, and limited video quality. Through mentoring and training, the partner was equipped with video content creation skills, content calendar planning, and the implementation of digital marketing strategies tailored to TikTok's characteristics. The results of the activity showed an improvement in the partner's ability to produce more creative and planned content, as well as increased audience interaction and reach. This more optimal TikTok content management has resulted in increased visibility and strengthened branding for the office rental service at Revio Space Surabaya.
