Abstract

The Community Service Activity carried out by the Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jawa Timur aims to increase the capacity of culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Malang City through quality management training. The research stages include preparation, implementation, and evaluation. In the preparation stage, a mapping of the current conditions of culinary MSMEs is carried out to identify their specific needs. The implementation stage focuses on training that includes product quality management and effective financial management. Evaluation is carried out through further assistance to assess the extent of understanding and application of training materials by MSME actors. Community service activities show that this training significantly increases MSME understanding in maintaining product quality and managing finances, so as to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of their businesses.

Abstract

The era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has transformed many aspects of life, including entrepreneurship. In this context, the development of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) entrepreneurship has become a strategic issue crucial to supporting the vision of a Progressive Indonesia. This development is carried out through synergy in mapping entrepreneurial potential, creating a conducive business climate, fostering entrepreneurship, business incubation, and providing adequate financial support. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2023, SMEs in Indonesia contribute 61% to the GDP, absorbing around 117 million workers. However, one of the main challenges for SMEs is financial management that remains suboptimal. This study highlights the importance of effective financial management for business sustainability, especially for SMEs in Malang City that still face challenges in separating personal and business finances. The Community Service Program by the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jawa Timur focuses on financial literacy training for SMEs, emphasizing the importance of proper financial planning and management. This training aims to enhance SMEs' abilities in preparing simple financial statements and managing capital wisely, thereby supporting the growth and sustainability of culinary SMEs in Malang City.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of organizational culture on entrepreneurial orientation (EO) through a comprehensive literature review. EO is a critical dimension of organizational strategy, encompassing innovation, risk-taking, and proactiveness, which are essential for maintaining competitiveness and driving business success. The findings indicate that organizational cultures fostering innovation, calculated risk-taking, and entrepreneurial values significantly enhance EO development. These cultural attributes provide an environment that encourages creativity, supports experimentation, and promotes proactive strategies for identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities. The study identifies recurring themes in the literature, such as the positive correlation between supportive cultural values and improved organizational performance. Companies that cultivate an entrepreneurial culture are better positioned to respond to market changes, innovate, and sustain long-term growth. Moreover, the research points to gaps in existing studies, including the need for deeper exploration of how different cultural dimensions interact with EO across various industries and organizational sizes. Practical implications for managers include the importance of embedding entrepreneurial values into organizational culture through leadership practices, employee training, and resource allocation. By doing so, managers can create an environment conducive to innovation and adaptability. Future research should further investigate cross-cultural variations and longitudinal effects of entrepreneurial culture on organizational success.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship contributes significantly to economic growth by creating opportunities and reducing unemployment and improving community welfare. This study examines the role of entrepreneurial knowledge and creativity in shaping entrepreneurial behavior with self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The data of this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires to young entrepreneurs in Malang City. The data obtained were then analyzed using PLS. The results showed that entrepreneurial knowledge and creativity have a positive effect on self-efficacy, which then mediates entrepreneurial behavior. This study provides implications for the design of targeted Education Policy to encourage the development of human capital, innovation and economic growth.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan digitalisasi yang kian pesat di era saat ini menjadi suatu tantangan yang harus dihadapi oleh pelaku UMKM terutama dalam meningkatkan daya saing di tengah persaingan yang ketat dan dalam menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas. Dibalik tantangan ini, juga terdapat peluang yang dapat dimaksimalkan dimana digitalisasi bisnis sekaligus menjadi kunci pertumbuhan bagi UMKM. Mendasari fenomena yang terjadi, diperlukan suatu kegiatan pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan penjualan melalui pemanfaatan platform e-commerce, seperti Shopee. Pelatihan berfokus memberikan pemahaman secara komprehensif tentang strategi digital marketing, termasuk mengelola promosi, menarik pelanggan, dan meningkatkan visibilitas produk. Pendekatan ini diharapkan mampu menghasilkan solusi konkret khususnya dalam mengatasi kendala pemasaran dan berdampkan pada daya saing dan perkembangan secara berkelanjutan bagi UMKM. Peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan UMKM dalam mengelola bisnis online menjadi tujuan utama yang ingin dicapai dari kegiatan pelatihan ini dan diharapkan dapat berdampak langsung pada peningkatan hasil keuangan UMKM.

Abstract

Perempuan prasejahtera memiliki peran penting dalam menopang ekonomi rumah tangga, khususnya di wilayah padat seperti Semampir, Surabaya, di mana banyak dari mereka menjalankan usaha kecil. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberdayakan nasabah perempuan prasejahtera BTPN Syariah di MMS Semampir 2 dengan meningkatkan kemampuan pengelolaan usaha melalui pendampingan langsung. Metode pemberdayaan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif partisipatif yang mengadopsi prinsip penelitian tindakan partisipatif dan studi kasus, dilaksanakan melalui tahapan perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, yang digunakan pada tahap perencanaan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan nasabah, mencakup pengelolaan modal, pencatatan keuangan, strategi penjualan, dan identitas usaha. Tahap implementasi meliputi pelatihan pengelolaan usaha, pencatatan keuangan, branding, serta promosi digital melalui status WhatsApp, disertai bimbingan dan motivasi agar nasabah dapat menerapkan materi secara bertahap. Evaluasi dan monitoring dilakukan melalui aplikasi Kitabeeste untuk menilai perkembangan usaha, mengukur dampak, dan memberikan rekomendasi tindak lanjut. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan nasabah dalam mengelola usaha, terlihat dari terbentuknya identitas usaha berupa logo dan banner, penerapan pencatatan keuangan sederhana, dan promosi digital. Pendampingan juga meningkatkan kepercayaan diri nasabah. Secara keseluruhan, pendampingan fasilitator terbukti efektif dalam membantu perempuan prasejahtera memahami potensi usaha, memperbaiki manajemen, dan membangun kebiasaan pengelolaan usaha yang lebih terarah
